[00:00:00] Good morning, my loves and welcome back to my podcast. Now this podcast has been created or will be created and channeled with a specific audience in mind. So I'm talking to you, soul led business owners. Now, when I talk about being a soul led business owner, that doesn't necessarily mean that you are leading a woo business or you are leading, you know, soul coaching or psychic readings or anything like that.

You may well do, but perhaps your soul business is something. You know, that, that falls in the mainstream, right? Your sole business doesn't have to be blue. But when we talk about sole business, I'm talking about a business that lights up your soul. Okay. That's what I'm saying. When I talk about a sole business, so sole business owners, this episode is for you.

Now, what I'm going to speak into today is something that's come up in our, Hmm. What will I call the group that I'm part of perhaps my business. Collaboration group, um, networking group, but not like a culty [00:01:00] one. Okay, Seb, there goes my child yelling out. I'm having a shower. Um, I don't know if you heard that or if it cut it out in the background, but that's Sebby in the background there, guys.

So, what I want to speak into and lean into today is what to do When you feel like your soul business is not working or what to do when you're running a soul business creating a soul business And you just feel like it's just not fucking working right now First of all is if this is what you're feeling if this is what's coming up for you What I want you to do first of all is take a deep breath in through your nose Let it all out With force.

I want you to do that again. And I want you to actively and intentionally release any shame that is coming along with those feelings of my business isn't working. Okay. In and out letting go of the shame, because I tell you something I've run, I think six [00:02:00] successful businesses, right. Over my time as a entrepreneur, but full time parent, you know, my journey has been a, hasn't been a corporate one, but I need to tell you that even in those most successful businesses.

I have also failed failure is part of being a business owner. You will not ever create a business or even upgrade your business up level in your business without failure. Now, how big is that failure going to be? That's going to be different for everyone, right? But if you are sending an email to your email list and you are, you know, I guess, um, testing the impact of that email based on who books.

You're setting yourself up for failure. This is the thing about soul led business. You do not know the impact you are having until a much later date. Okay. So you do not get instant [00:03:00] validation. Now, across my time, I've run a number of businesses and the one that was most, I guess, transactional rather than sold it was our photo booth business.

And, you know, when you think of a photo booth business, you think of a one. One kind of business, you know, little hobby business, but for us, it was never going to be that we had a day for company that was exploding. We added a photo booth and we always wanted staff to run it. You know, I'm home with the kids on a Saturday night, Dan's out playing in the band.

And so we started that and we added another and another and another. And so we had 13 photo booths and we were doing 750 events a year. Right. Why I say that was a transactional business because it wasn't a solar business for me. It didn't tap into my soul in any way. Of course we provided Epic service.

Of course it was very successful. But it wasn't a soul led business for me. So therefore I'm going to be really honest with you. It's much fucking easier to run than assault led business. Okay. Because it's not. It doesn't have the depth of emotion that comes up when you are working in your own soul led business.

So what does it mean to run a [00:04:00] solo business? For me, the definition of having a soul led business is knowing that showing up in your business. Is bigger than you. Now, it's not going to feel like that every day, right? But for me, a soul led business is not looking at the most profitable business that I can have and leaning into that it's leaning into something that excites my soul.

Not all the time. Sometimes I'm like, what the fuck am I doing? But it's leaning into things that light up my soul. If we look at the studies of the desire map, which is an incredible book, if you haven't read it, go and read it. We are led. We want where we're meant to go. Our desires lead us where we're meant to go.

Even down to, if you decide you want to cut all your hair off and dye it bright red, that could be your soul saying, Hey, I want to experience this here. This is going to up level my spiritual experience by allowing me to discover life through this lens, right? So a soul led business is not purely transactional and.

You know, this is [00:05:00] coming through from spirit and the logic in me and the business woman in me wants to shake my head and say that your soul led businesses impact is not measured by the money that you're making. Okay. Now, the reason why I'm doing this podcast is because the group that I've created this year, I realized that I really wanted to be surrounded by, Other solar business owners so that we can lean in and support each other because the series of, I guess, personal development issues or, um, limiting beliefs and heartbreak and all the things that come up with running a true solar business need to be supported by others who are going through the same, right.

Or who are, you know, have celebrating their wins and all those types of things. So I wanted to create a group that was. Not an offering. That is not a business thing for me. It's literally like a, um, collaboration, friendship group, you know, support center. And it's been really powerful, but this came up the other day.

Like, what do you do when you feel like [00:06:00] it's not working? And there were many women in there like, Oh my God, yes, I want to know. And I was like, I'm going to record a podcast for everyone. Let's put it out to the masses. Okay. Because again, You, there's this glamorous, I guess, uh, vision that is sold to you about business and that is that, you know, do the work and the money will come and put yourself out there and you'll have success.

And it's almost like the harder you push and the harder you work, the more success that you will have. And that's true to a degree. Okay? But it needs to be tailored in and. Especially in a solar business wound in with your own personal development wound in with where you are throwing mud at the wall and none of it is fucking sticking.

Okay. But you know what comes up in many solar business owners is we are sensitive and you know, most of the time we want to offer something powerful and impactful to the world because we care so deeply. Okay. [00:07:00] Cause we care cause we're not here just to do. We're here to make impact and what happens when you are a sensitive and you deeply care about what you want to offer the world is you are putting your heart out there to be rejected.

Okay. You are putting your heart out there to be rejected because as we say, a soul at business is giving people glimpses of your soul, glimpses of what's really fucking important to you. And the only way to do that successfully is to basically. Bare your soul, okay? You can't run a soul led business and be all about, you know, empowering women to accept all of themself and then, because you really want to break through to women and make them feel like they're enough, but you can't do that by hiding behind a mask or, you know, choosing to share only one thing about yourself, choosing to only share the positives, and this is where I feel like Instagram culture is really quite [00:08:00] toxic in the coaching industry, especially because There is so much noise around and I get pulled into it too.

Don't get me wrong. There's so much noise around only show this. Don't show people everything only shopping the best energy. No one wants to see your victim mindset, all of that kind of stuff, which again, that, that guidance is good to a point. Okay. But other parts of that guidance out. All right. Are you looking at your business as true as, as purely transactional, or are you looking at your business as a service?

And if you have a sole based business, you need to have a strong balance between the two. Where are you serving and where are you actually being paid for your service as well? Okay. Now, something that I know to be true. And this is a Gabby Bernstein concept is when you wake up and say, how can I serve today in my business?

You will make money. It sounds counterintuitive, but how many days have you woken up and gone? I need to make money. Say, how can I make money? And you're in a state of panic and you're being pulled away from your heart and [00:09:00] your soul. And you know, it doesn't work. It just doesn't work. Right. Running a sole business is the most challenging of all businesses.

And I'm going to tell you that from the absolute truth in my guts, um, from running other businesses, which have been very, very successful, but transactional. That doesn't mean I haven't loved them and I haven't loved doing them, but they haven't been the sole work that I'm here to do. So I want you to kind of pull your head in the sand.

Out of that, you pull your head out of the sound sand. Oh my God. I want you to pull your head out of the sand around that. There we go. If I edited my podcast, I would cut that out, but I don't because I'm real here. And I don't have time. Who's the time for that? Especially not managing. So my love, my purpose is getting this out to you.

My purpose is not putting out a perfect podcast. And that's something that, you know, let that ruminate through, um, where you're going with your business offerings and things like that as well. So having a soul led business. Is going to be the most challenging of all businesses. That and it's also gonna be the most rewarding.

Okay, so, [00:10:00] you know, you can't have one without the other But you are putting your whole soul out there You are putting your whole kind of life out there and I'm not saying get up and show every single part of your life No one wants to see that but you know, I feel that to be the best Healer, you need to be up front, right?

If you are wanting people to share with you their experiences so you can help them heal, you better fucking do that too. Do you know what I mean? You know, so where are you holding back? What parts of your soul are holding back from your soul in business? Because that is the key to success. What parts of my soul am I not putting into my soul led business?

Because my soul is leading the ship. Why am I only letting a quarter of it lead the ship? Why am I not stepping into this fully? And I truly believe that if we're in soul led business, it is exactly what we're here to do. And it is exactly what we're made for and crafted for. Therefore, there is no part of us that should not be in that business with us.

Does that make sense? [00:11:00] That's kind of blowing my own mind as well, because there's so much programming and conditioning around what makes a successful business owner and what you should show and what you should talk about and all of those things as well. But what I'm hearing directly from spirit is your soul led business needs to be led by your soul.

Yeah. And you need to trust your soul. Is whole and perfect and ready to leave now, of course, on top of yourself, there's going to be ego bullshit stories. There's going to be heartbreak. There's going to be trauma. There's gonna be all these other things that hold you back. So what do we want to do? We want to get rid of that as much as possible.

So anybody who has ever had coaching with me for their business, I will always say to them straight away. Now, business coaching is also personal development coaching. Okay. You can't do one without the other. You could have the best business strategy in the entire fucking world. But if you don't have a look at the personal development shit that's holding you back, it's not going to do anything.

And that's not because your energy's not worthy or any of that bullshit, you know, cause you haven't done the fucking light [00:12:00] language codes and all that crap that's going around Instagram at the moment. No, it's not because of any of that. It's because you will subconsciously and consciously hold yourself back unless you look at your wounding that is holding you back.

Okay. And I'm going to talk about my wounding that's held me back as well. I'm not sitting here going, I've conquered this. I'm amazing at this. No, it's always a learning curve. Okay. Um, part of my soul work is. Um, part of my soul work is helping people become way more fucking aware of their own bullshit so that they can succeed in their relationship, right?

Relationships and family units are so important to me. I think they are the, um, the cornerstone of society is family. You know, there's those things like, if you want to heal the world, start with your fucking family, like start in your kitchen, heal your family first. Right. And that comes from the relationship at the top of that family.

Heal that relationship, heal the relationship with your kids, heal your family [00:13:00] unit. But we get so stuck in bullshit and we are so sometimes not self aware and so in our ego center that we do not even know what's going on in that relationship. We are looking at issues that are not actually the issues.

It's something else. So part of my core magic is looking into a relationship and knowing. Using my clear cognizance, my inner knowing, my clear knowing to know what is actually going on. Yeah. And what previous wounding is playing into the current situation. Yeah. You think, right. If you leaning into your relationship, right.

Your partner says something that hits a nerve. Why does it hit a nerve? Cause that nerve is already fucking exposed because of something that's previously happened to you because of a conditioned belief that you have. Right. So I love what the magic that I can bring to relationships because of that. Now, if I look into the logistics as to why I'm good at this.

I'm also in a 24 year relationship. You know, my relationship is the most important thing in my life. I'm a self aware human being. I've done a lot of coaching. Um, [00:14:00] have a lot of life experience was a marriage celebrant full time for like 15 years. Um, I remember I offered my services online. So in a community group, a local community group where I was always showing up and offering my free swims and my community events and all the things, everybody loved that.

But someone once commented, I'm looking for a relationship counselor. Can anyone recommend anyone? And I was like, Hey, look, I'm not a relationship counselor, but I do do relationship coaching. And this is what I offer. Um, and I was like, you know, I offer the psyche kind of background insight into what's going on as well, as well as real life experience, yada, yada, yada.

I got. Ripped to shreds on that community group, ripped to shreds, and I cannot even describe the pain that I felt because it is something that I really want to do in my soul. And I was basically being burned to the stack in this lifetime, as well as previous, you know, um, and it was like, you don't have qualifications.

Um, you know, this is [00:15:00] dangerous, what you're offering, uh, down to go and stand in traffic. Go kill yourself. Go like just things like that. Right. Absolute chaos. And. I was so upset. I was so upset, which is wild because I've got a pretty thick skin. And I was so upset. My husband couldn't actually believe how upset I was.

And looking back now, like things are always clear in hindsight is because it was so important to me. And I knew that I could help this person. And I know that I have such capacity to help this. Like I've always been the person in the middle. Friendship breaks up. I find it hard to cut off both parties. I will always be that person of reason in the middle.

You know, I can absolutely look at that. And anyway, whatever I do have a qualification in relationship counseling now, so sit on that motherfucker. Um, and I'm currently halfway through my diploma of counseling degree. Have I learned anything new? Not really. But is it something that I've got in my arsenal to shut people down?

100%. And it's funny because I look at this person and, um, they're same sex [00:16:00] attracted, which is absolutely fine, but there is a different dynamic. Do you know what I mean? In between hetero relationships and same sex relationships. And. They have no children and this person was looking for relationship counseling with her husband and her family.

And it's like, you've never had a long term partner, mate, but you do have a degree. So anyway, I'm not going to sit here and go into a slaying match, but for me, like it was, it's so silly that I was so sensitive to those comments. Um, but it's also not because it's important to me. Does that make sense? So when something is important to us, it opens up more space for us to be hurt when we're putting it out there to the world.

And that's just a simple fact. Okay. If it's something you don't really give a fuck about, you don't care. But when it's something that you care about, when it's a part of you and it's a core part of you and you're, you're exposing it to the world and it can be shut down, that can be really, really scary.

So what I've learned is that that community group is not for me. I'm just going to have a sip of my cacao.

Shout out to Living [00:17:00] Coco, best cacao in the world. Um, so I've learned that that community group is not for me. I've learned that Facebook groups are pretty shit. Yeah. Um, Facebook is a place where people sometimes like to come and be little fuckers. That's all I'm going to say. I was going to drop a harsher swear word, but we'll, we'll refrain and we're moving along.

So understand that your soul business is putting yourself out there. Okay. Understand that in putting your soul out there, you're basically got your heart and you're like, hello, here's my heart for the world to see. And you're going to attract people who are gonna fucking throw rocks at it. Hit it with a stick.

run over it, all those things. So developing a thick skin is really important. And I'll never forget one of my psychic teachers said to me in this industry, you have to have the sensitivities of a buffalo. Oh, I'm going to start a drinking game for you guys, for kick out, not alcohol, slug your kick out.

Every time I fuck up a saying, cause it's so often, right? You have to have the sensitivities of a butterfly [00:18:00] and the hide of a buffalo. Right? So you've got to have a strong hide. You're gonna have the balls to say what you fucking mean, but you've also got to be sensitive as well. And you've got to have the hide to, to cop it.

And that's really, that's a really fucking hard line to draw in the sand. Okay. So self care is really important. So coming back to personal development, you cannot simply study business without personal development because any business, but especially a solar business is going to bring up your core wounding.

It is going to bring up wounds that you didn't know you had. And so for me, rejection, not being accepted by community was a wound that was really fucking highlighted. In that moment. It was really highlighted in that moment. Like, wow, I've been ostracized from community. Um, I'm being told to die. Like how fucking horrible is that?

Um, that was led. These comments were led and encouraged by a psychologist. Anyway, we're not getting down that far. It's just insane. Um, so understand that particularly if you're challenging the norm as well, you're going to [00:19:00] piss people off. And that's okay. So again, surround yourself with like minded people.

And that doesn't have to be in person. That can be online. That can be a community that you create just to assist you, because there's also going to be other people who need that assistance. So it's a win win situation. The next thing I want to say is if you feel like you're running a solo led business and it's just not working and you're really, really frustrated.

Take a break. Don't take a three month break. Don't take a six week break. Don't take a fucking one week break. Take the day off. Surrender to that shit. Yeah. Surrender to the fact that it's not working today, and you're feeling really fucking frustrated and you're ready to throw it in the bin. And so what you're gonna do, or maybe you've had a frustrating day today and tomorrow you're like, I've gotta, I've gotta get a result tomorrow.

Cool. What other things that you can do tomorrow? But then what else are you gonna do to go and switch off? Go and switch off? One of the most potent things that I have realized in this business. Which has been very different to the other businesses that I've run is that when I take a day off, when I lean into my own energy to [00:20:00] filling my own cup, clients are attracted to me in a solar business, you cannot fake it.

Okay. In a photo booth business, I could just do a scheduled post. No one gave a fuck who I was. I was behind the scenes, didn't matter about my energy. I could keep churning, keep churning, keep churning, right? Solid business people know straight away. They know straight away. You cannot fake energy. You cannot fake energy, which is a little annoying, but it also means that we have to take better care of ourselves.

Okay. Plus, you are pushing people to go and do the things for themselves, most likely, so you need to do it as well. So take a fucking break, right? When you feel like you cannot take a break, that is exactly when you need to take that break. All right? My next step, my love, is embody more of what you're preaching.

Yeah. So if you're coaching, if you're doing psychic readings, if you're, you know, teaching, whatever, counseling, energy work, whatever, how often are you having [00:21:00] energy work done on yourself? If you're telling moms that they need to put themselves first, are you fucking doing that? Like literally audit Where you are preaching things and where you are doing them and embody more of it, because sometimes we get so caught up in making this deep impact in the world and helping, you know, people have this deep, beautiful impact.

So, you know, maybe you might be teaching people to have compassion and that doesn't mean that your job title is teaching people how to have compassion. Like you think about the jobs that you, you know, I've got a couple of clients in mind at the moment. Who might not think that they run a solid led business, but they definitely do.

And maybe part of what they want their clients to embody is some more self confidence and some self compassion. Great. Where are you lacking that? And again, it kind of comes back to self development, right? And self awareness. Where are you lacking that? How can you embody more of it? And I remember being in my masculine energy so massively and I'm having readings over the last five years.

It was [00:22:00] like, slow down, slow down, slow down, get in your feminine. And I was like, what the fuck, man? Like I can't slow down any more than I have. But there was always another level of slowing down that I could bring to the table. And I remember one reading in particular was like, embody more of what you teach.

You need to embody more of that. And I was like, fuck you. But then I was like, oh my fucking god, yeah, I do. Right? Because we sit there and we go, okay, I'm teaching, I think at this point I was teaching psychic students. And about spirituality and being connected to themselves and their surroundings and taking time to smell the roses, all those things.

But I wasn't actually doing that. Like I knew the difference that it had made in my life and I'd spent a long time doing it. But in my search and struggle to build my business and provide for my family, I wasn't actually doing the things that I was saying. Are so important that I know to be so important.

Right. So where can you embody more of that? Go and get [00:23:00] the services of what you give. Right. So if you're a relationship counselor, you have a relationship session, you might not need it. You might not feel like you need it, but go and have a session, you know, call it a tune up. Right. And then in doing that, you're going to be like, Oh my God, I actually learned this about my relationship.

And. That has given me, like, I didn't think I needed a session, but I had a session that's been helpful and that's really powerful. And I liked the way she did that. Or I don't like the way she did that. You know, when I was doing readings kind of full time, I would get myself psychic readings fairly regularly.

And one, because I loved the industry. Two, I wasn't really looking after my energy enough and I was just getting drained, but three, it was always some form of a training exercise because I could see the way someone did something and maybe take a little bit from that, or I could see the way someone, someone did something and be like, I'm not fucking doing that.

You know, so how often are you experiencing similar services to what you provide? That can, that's part of the embodiment as well, right? Because then you remember how it feels [00:24:00] like to receive it and you remember how important it is. Yeah. The other thing is, what are you filling your cup with? What are you filling your brain with?

You know, um, I guess embodiment and receiving is about filling your cup, but what are you filling your brain with? Are you listening to podcasts? Are you listening to podcasts that are aligned with what you want, or are you listening to podcasts that are aligned with go make a hundred K a month, right?

There is so much bullshit online. Like I get enamored by people and I, I see them as like, Oh yeah, this person, like they're going to be a great mentor. And then I start to see cracks in what they're saying versus what they're doing. And it's the instant factor factor for me. And then I don't believe a word they say.

So being really authentic with what you're saying is really important because otherwise people will see through that and they will not trust you. And that doesn't mean that you're falsifying anything or intentionally being fake, but we all have levels of inauthenticities that we put out there or barriers that we put up.

And it's something I've noticed lately. I'm like, you're saying you're earning these, but then you're selling stuff [00:25:00] online. You wouldn't do that if you were doing like, do you know what I mean? Like, I'm not going to go into specifics. I don't want people to know who I'm talking about, but that's just something that I've noticed, you know, is.

There's a lot of incongruencies with what people are saying versus what they're doing. Yeah. So how can you be fully who you fucking are? How can you fully step into that soul led version of you? Yeah. The other thing I want to say is if you're really struggling, and if you are constantly financially, financially stressing about your business, you've got two options.

One is to get a strategy and go fucking hard and make it happen. And that can often look like having lower level offerings. Again, there's going to be people, there's going to be coaches that be like, you want to earn more money? You need to double your coaching prices. You want to earn more money? You need to double your reading prices.

But if you're not getting fucking clients at the current price, you're probably not going to get them at a higher price. Okay? And that's got nothing to do with your limiting money beliefs. That's got nothing to do with needing to receive light language codes. It's none of that. [00:26:00] It's like, you probably haven't made a name for yourself in that industry yet.

You probably haven't made, made, made a name for yourself in the pivot that you've done or whatever it is, or, you know, we are living in a cost of living cry, we are sorry, living in a cost of living crisis. I don't want to harp on about that because there are people who have money and are willing to spend money, but maybe your clientele that you've previously been working with.

Have lost access to some of their money. So maybe you need to pull in a new crowd, or maybe you need to be a little bit kind of, um, compromising for those people who you want to work with. Right. And again, this is like charge your fucking wife, charge as much as you can go for it. Right. What your work is really fucking important.

But if you're telling me I need to make an income, I need to make this work. There's a couple of things we're going to look at. And that's one having a low level offering that people can buy into your energy and buy into your magic at a low level offering so that they can start to build trust, because who wants to, you know, buy into someone that they don't fully trust it's whatever.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time on [00:27:00] strategy. The other thing I'm going to say to you is back it up. Right. And back it up can mean go and get a part time job if you need to. Okay. I know that this is not glamorous. Advice here. I'm running a sole business, but if you are feeling super overwhelmed with financial stuff and you're feeling super overwhelmed with how you are going to make your business work, that is going to pull you away from your solid purpose.

And that is going to put you into transactional mode, which is fine, but it's not the energy that you're wanting to do in your sole business. Right? So sometimes it's again, and this is what I work with people in sessions about is like. What can I offer that's desperately needed, but it's not really what my soul wants to offer, but I know that people want it.

How can I bring people into my world through that so they can share with them the rest of my magic too, you know? So, um, you might be like, Oh, I don't really want to do like a pre made. Pre question book or a single question reading or like whatever, but what can you put out there that is a no brainer for people to instantly purchase, which is going to [00:28:00] have the cogs of finances turning in your business.

I tell you what, it's much better to get notifications. You just made 30 bucks, then no notifications at all. Yeah. So if you're getting 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, you're going to feel really fucking good. If you're getting nothing, you're going to freeze, you're going to freeze, right? So. Start that energy transactions happening.

Yeah. Anyway, the other thing I want to say is back it up. Right. So if that is, if you're in freeze mode, if you're in like, you're basically clogging the pipes, you're like holding on, you're not receiving, you're not showing up in the right energy, you're sitting in fear, do what you need to do to step out of that.

And if that means that you need to go and get a part time job so that you've got some money coming through in the background whilst you work on your solar business. Fucking do it. There is no shame in that. What I will say to you is please don't go and get a full time job and think you can put your soul and business in the bin because it's going to jump back up and pull you away from your part, your full time job at some point.

So, um, if you need to back it up, back it [00:29:00] up and there's no shame in that. Okay? And I, I feel like me. 10 years ago would have been like, fuck it all in. Cause that's how I've always run my life. All in make it work, make it work, make it work, make it work. But my nervous system was fried. I made it work, but my nervous system was fried and we ain't about that anymore.

Okay. Maybe it's an age thing. I'm having some issues with aging at the moment, guys. I'm feeling really tender about it. It doesn't help having teenage kids who are constantly paying me out about. My words and being a millennial, but anyway, so, you know, and I guess the other thing is like, if you are doubting that you are right for your solid business, have a think about all the times that you've come back to it, have a think about all the times that you've gone, this is too hard, but then you've come back because you're being drawn to it.

Know that if you want to do it, then you're meant to fucking do it. If you truly want to do it, then you're meant to do it. And I mean, truly do the work that you are wanting chomping at the bit to do. I don't mean like, I've always wanted to be a business owner. Cool. Maybe you're doing the wrong business.

If you're like, I really want to help people with this, you're meant to [00:30:00] fucking help people with that. But if you feel no emotion behind that, then it's probably not your sole business. So I can help you with that. I can help you clarify whether you are in fact running a solid business or whether you are in fact running a business that you've conformed and kind of made.

Bit more mainstream rather than a solo business. I can do that. Um, anyway, ask for feedback. Okay. This is a big one. I was having a bit of a day yesterday, just a frustrated day. And again, you will find that as a mentor, as a podcast host, as someone who shows up on social media, I will always share everything.

I, I fucking, I can't stand this toxic positivity bullshit. I have a very positive outlook on life. I feel like most people would describe me as like, Oh, you always just roll with it. You make it work. And you know, you're always, you can always find the positive, right. And I can. But that doesn't mean that I don't have negative thoughts.

And that doesn't mean that I don't have shit days. And that doesn't mean that I don't have periods and pockets of my life where I feel pretty fucked up. And if [00:31:00] anyone's selling you something, otherwise they are bullshitting. We are women. We are cyclical beings. Yeah. So I'm in my luteal phase. I think it was yesterday.

I was having this moment of like, I'm turning 39 this year. And like, what have I done with my life was basically what I was projecting onto my husband. What have I done with my life? Nothing. What do I have to show? Nothing. I've been working 25 years and I was really just like in this funk. And then I was like, okay, Janelle, how do you get out of this funk?

And I was like, I should ask people to let me know if I've had an impact on them. And then I laughed because I knew that there'd be so many people and I would actually just be quite desperate for me to ask that. Right. I knew that there'd be so many people that. That I've had impact on and they might not have spent any money with me.

Right. But you know, I got a text message yesterday I was like, thank you so much for all of your posts Like they're really helpful and they make me see the beauty in the world and I'm like, oh in my mind I was like, but you never liked them I didn't know you liked them because you never [00:32:00] liked them or never responded to my emails or whatever But that doesn't mean that you're not having profound fucking impact.

Okay? So if you need to ask for feedback, ask for fucking feedback. Hey, it's Is what I'm saying hitting, is this making any sense to you guys? Like, you know, like ask for feedback. If you've had previous clients, Hey, I'm doubting what I'm doing. Be a fucking human. That's okay. I'm doubting myself. Can you let me know what about our session was helpful?

I'm just really trying to grow, like drop the ego, drop the ego. When we drop the ego. We connect with our heart. Yeah. Our head stops getting in the way. It's like one on one for relationships, but we stop our ego and our God getting in the way of our heart space and ask for feedback. Yeah. And I get it. If you have rejection sensitivity, you don't want bad feedback.

Totally understand. Ask for positive feedback, but understand that you're having a positive impact. Now, this is also one of the reasons that we should routinely ask for reviews. because I want you to keep a wins folder. Okay, this is one of the [00:33:00] biggest things that I always ask my psychic students to do when I was teaching psychism is keep a book of wins.

So whenever something that like you've, you bring through some information and it's fucking spot on, you blow your own mind, fucking write it down because there's going to be times when you do not blow your own mind and you think I'm useless. I'm making this up. Go back in your book of winds and you'll blow your own mind again.

Same with your business, yeah? Keep a folder for all of your reviews on your desktop or whatever. Keep a folder where you put emails that are like, thank you so much for that session. That is really clarifying. I feel so much better. Screenshot that shit. Keep it in a folder. One, it's great marketing. Two, it's going to keep you fucking laser focused on what it is that you want to offer this world.

Yeah? The note that I'm going to leave it on is just be a bit more playful with it. Be a little more playful. There's, I can give you so many tips. I can be talking to you for 85 hours, right? But be more playful with your business. It is not life or death. Trust me. I've come from [00:34:00] the year of hell last year, you know, and There is an urgency financially in what I'm doing, but when we zoom out on her life and we look at money and we look at bills and we look at all the things like, why the fuck did I stress about that?

Why did I let myself count my worth by money? Okay. We need money to survive. That's really fucking important. We deserve money to buy good, nice things. We deserve to treat ourselves. We deserve not to have that stress in our life. 100%. But as my kids say, it's not that deep. It's not that deep, bro. You know, um, because it really isn't one more night and then I'm going to wind it down my babes.

But one question I always ask myself, but also my clients is why you, and if you're feeling really depressed or expressor, you'll be like, I don't know, for no reason, but there are, what have you made it through? What have you been [00:35:00] through? You know, how did whatever modality you are offering the world impact you?

That's your why. And if you need to ask people, ask people. I'm going to leave it there my loves. If you need to book in a session, go deep on this shit. I am always available. I love talking business, but I also love like layering that in with like real fucking purpose. Anyone can run a transactional business, but if you are running a purposeful business, know that it is a bit of an uphill battle, but know that there is nothing more rewarding.
