I'm back my babes, and the fire is back with a vengeance.
I came across an instagram post titled " I broke my wife and I don't know how to fix it!"
I was intrigued and procrastinating so I flicked onto the next slide.
To paraphrase, this man was having a conversation at a party and he mentioned to his single friend, that the single man's priorities were wrong. "Looks aren't everything" he said. "Look at me and my wife, she is a 6 and I'm so happy. Versus my ex who was a 9 but so self-absorbed."
The party went silent.
His wife hasn't been the same since.
He wanted to know how to fix her.
Some of the comments were more disturbing than the incident itself.
I was flabbergasted to see women commenting that the wife was overreacting. Comments like "What does she expect? To be rated a 10? She's had 3 kids in 7 years. Being average is fine"
"Most women are 4-6's, they should stop being shallow and expecting more."
My mind was blown.
Now I agree with the notion that looks aren't everything. Absolutely.
Values, personality, an open heart, kindness, confidence, generosity, humour etc all are so much more important.
However, I will never agree with women rating themselves at a low number on a scale.
I will never agree with women telling other women they are overreacting for not expecting more from their man.
I will never agree with women telling women most of us are average.
I will never agree with any logic that this kind of behaviour is ok.
As women, we are wired to yearn to feel desired.
We are created to be revered physically, spiritually and intellectually.
It is our birthright to be tapped into our sensuality. Our eroticism, our aliveness.
Our level of attractiveness is not dependent on size or beauty standards..
It is our birthright to feel like AND be treated like a 10.

Is it better to hopeful, optimistic and positive or is it a sig of delusion?
I was speaking into this with a client of mine today, she asked me whether she was stupid for believing in someone close to her. This person has made wrong choices many, many times before in their life and my client was wondering if she was mad, believing in her again?
I love this topic!
My response? The strongest of humans are wildly optimistic. The open their hearts to hope, and in doing so open their hearts. hurt, to failure. Only the strongest of humans are capable of this. The rest choose the safety of resignation to their circumstances, in case they hope for more and get hurt along the way

However this slow, sticky time of year is a vital part in our reflection process.
This episode is about witnessing all that you have navigated in 2023, and not just the epic achievements that you are instantly proud of, but the achievements that you’ve overlooked.
Maybe you’re just grateful you survived the year. Maybe you’re proud of the way you navigated painful times ? Maybe you’re proud you survived FOUR dark nights of the soul this year? Like me 😂
Reflection is a vital part of integrating all we have learnt. It also amplifies our gratitude, our self trust and our willingness to believe we can.

An I'm here to tell you that wanting external validation is not always a bad thing!
But we must remember when we CHOOSE to live differently to the societal norms, we choose to become less relatable, and then loneliness an occur.

Being the mother of two neurospicy humans, who are now 10 and 12 has been the catalyst for my own spiritual journey.
Here's a few things that I have learnt along the way.
Drop the shame.
I was personally holding so much shame around my parenting style, how my child was behaving and how i was being judged by others.
Turn off the outside noise
I remember being told to visualise a cone of around me and my child in a public situation and allowing all of my focus to be on them, not the opinions of anyone else. But what my child needed from me in that moment. Game changing to remember that I was there to guide my child, not please the audience.
Advocate
Noone knows your child like you do. So advocate for what you know. This is why its imperative to be in touch with your own inner knowing. Its so hard to stand in your power and argue with the school principal, whom your child may have just called a lil btch. But you really do know best!
Believe in your child.
Believe in that baby of yours, our children enter this world with all they need to complete their mission here on earth. Its our job to gently lead them, but we need to stop interfering so much! More love, more nudges, less demands and less "moulding"
