[00:00:00] Lauren: Hey everyone walk by the shattering ceilings. It's Lauren.
[00:00:03] Megan: And again, and we are here today to talk about something that I think has been coming up a lot lately. I know it's something we've been talking about, and then we've started to notice it being topic on podcasts and different, you know, things that we listen to and tune into. So today we're going to talk about the feeling of being stuck.
[00:00:19] Megan: Contributes
[00:00:20] Lauren: Yeah. The feeling of being stuck. And I guess the other aha, which goes along with it is like moving from doing to being right. So. I guess I don't even remember what I was listening to at this point. It's like two weeks ago, but I know that I got excited and I text Megan. I'm like, I had this aha moment.
[00:00:41] Lauren: She's like, what? And I'm like, cause for a while guys, like transparency here, I've been feeling just like stuck, just like stagnant, you know? And I think that being a. Oh, a one, three manifesto. Being a Gemini. Like I always have ideas swirling in my [00:01:00] head. And I feel like I'm always looking for the answer.
[00:01:04] Lauren: What's the answer. What's like, I love to know what's coming. I love to, don't we all, I guess, right. We all like to know what's coming and what's certain. And all those things. And sometimes I get so wrapped up in that. Like it just consumes me. Right. And we talk about. Well, I think we have talked about like the law of attraction, right?
[00:01:24] Lauren: Like where your, where your focus goes, energy flows. And for whatever reason, I was not correlating how feeling stuck and saying I'm stuck. And I literally would say it like to Megan. Yeah. Right. I would say, but I would say to you, I would say it to mentors. Coaching sessions. I'm like, I just feel stuck. And like, I feel like since I've been saying that for however long, like, obviously I'm manifesting that now, like, or I'm just going to keep, you know, feeling
[00:01:58] Megan: At least that feeling like [00:02:00] reality is you're not stuck, right? You're not living in Groundhog Day where the same thing is happening every single
[00:02:05] Lauren: not
[00:02:06] Megan: But it feels that way. Now you've got that so deeply ingrained in how you are in the world that it's like, Oh, no matter what, I totally get that because I feel that way.
[00:02:16] Megan: I mean, we've talked about this a lot in work right now. I feel so stuck in the position that I'm in and it it makes everything else harder. Because it's like, oh, we're going to be here forever and nothing's going to change and then everything feels more daunting, you know, so we're less likely to make movement in any direction.
[00:02:33] Lauren: and I feel like too, like, it's, it's almost like you're on the constant pursuit of like, how am I going to get unstuck? But really like your brain doesn't really like hear it that way. Your brain just is like, Oh, she's stuck. Okay. We're going to keep being stuck. You know what I mean? And then frequency or the feeling is the highest, like it's the most important thing when it comes to manifestation and just like, oh, What becomes your reality, right?
[00:02:56] Lauren: So for constantly feeling that way, we're going to constantly [00:03:00] reflect that. Like it's going to be reflected back to us, I should say,
[00:03:02] Megan: Absolutely. And I think feeling it on so many different levels, like, so we were just talking about this before we got on, but Lauren, tell me where you're feeling that snugness in your body right now.
[00:03:13] Lauren: Oh my God. My head, my jaw, my shoulders. Like, oh, just basically my upper from my shoulders up. I feel it. Really?
[00:03:21] Megan: Like, I literally feel like there's an elephant sitting on my chest all the time. Mm hmm. Like, there's something physically weighing me down to the ground. So, the reason why I wanted to bring that up is because we're feeling stuck, then movement is the answer to a degree, right?
[00:03:36] Megan: Like anywhere you're feeling stuck, right? We got to get energy flowing on a, on a mental level, on a spiritual level, but also on a physical level. Like, I mean, when we get into that mindset of like, nothing is moving, nothing's going the way that I want to go, like number one, we're attached to some sort of outcome,
[00:03:53] Lauren: Sure. A hundred percent. And that's something that we just really got to detach from.
[00:03:57] Megan: we got to detach from the outcome. But [00:04:00] we also got to move because you're going to stay stuck unless you make like movement in one direction, right? Whether that's being an activity with your business or you know for me, it's this job So either I change my perspective on my job, right? I try to change the reality of my job within Within the framework of what it is, right?
[00:04:22] Megan: Or I find another job,
[00:04:25] Lauren: Mm
[00:04:25] Megan: right? Start taking steps in the direction of getting something new. Like that, those are options. But sitting here thinking like, Oh, I hate this circumstance. I feel stuck in this circumstance. It's not going to change the circumstance.
[00:04:37] Lauren: No, no, you're just going to feel it more and more. And again, you're focusing on that. So of course, that's going to be like the forefront of your mind, right? And then your, your brain is going to say, okay, let me confirm all the ways that you are stuck right now so that you feel like you're right. Right?
[00:04:53] Lauren: Cause that's what your brain does. It's like confirming what you believe, right? So that was like one thought. So since [00:05:00] then, I've definitely been better with. The thought of feeling stuck and that feeling of being stuck. However, my mind is still swirling and swirling. Like, I just feel like I'm very heady right now.
[00:05:13] Lauren: And I've been very heady for some time. And then I listened to finally guys, me and Meg have been friends since like 2020. And she's probably been telling me about Emma Dunwoody for God, isn't it amazing? We've been friends for like four years. That's so crazy.
[00:05:30] Megan: I know.
[00:05:32] Lauren: Side note, but Emma Dunwoody is someone that she has talked about for a long time.
[00:05:36] Lauren: She loves her human design podcast. And for whatever reason, I don't even think Megan, like she didn't even send me anything, but I was getting ready for the day and I was like, let me go check out this podcast. And I put on like the first episode I see. It was Jim Fortin, who now I'm obsessed and he, and like, and in the podcast, cause you didn't listen to it yet.
[00:05:57] Lauren: Right, Meg?
[00:05:58] Megan: No, I have listened to hers with [00:06:00] him. I
[00:06:00] Lauren: Oh, you have.
[00:06:01] Megan: Yes.
[00:06:02] Lauren: Okay. So she talks about how like that podcast that she listened to on another podcast from Jim Fortin, like that was a big game changer for her. So I listened to this podcast and listen again, goes back to, we are told things that we don't Probably a thousand times, but like different ways.
[00:06:22] Lauren: Right. We have heard this theory about if you want to create real change, you have to shift your identity and you have to look at like, what is my identity? What am I attached to? Like what Megan just said? Like, what am I like committing to being right? Like who I, who I am. Right. And then we have to like shift the identity to who we want to become.
[00:06:42] Lauren: Right. And he, and he talks about how a lot of coaches, a lot of, I mean, I hear this all the time, like in business, right? You got to do more to be more, to have more, to give more. You hear that all the time. You got to do, do, do. And that's a very masculine energy, right? And you need [00:07:00] both. You need masculine and feminine, but most of my life I've been stuck in this.
[00:07:04] Lauren: I got to do more to get more, right. To have whatever to be more. Right. It's I've always been that way more, more, more, right. Even in like, you know, Megan's called me up before on like, morning routine or like spiritual practices, right? Like Lauren, you don't need to do all the things every day. Right.
[00:07:22] Megan: Like a three hour
[00:07:23] Lauren: bring in more or spirituality. Right. Like, yeah. So I've cut back on that. Thank God. But anyway, like. He was just really talking about, like, you have to be first. And so going back to that stuckness, like, obviously my identity in a sense right now is like, oh, I'm stuck. I am right. I am whatever.
[00:07:42] Lauren: That's an identity, right? So that's what I keep playing over and over in my head instead of saying something like. Well, now I am, you know, I am an abundant being with infinite opportunity like that is now what I'm saying. Like literally the other night I was having a hard time falling asleep and I'm like, [00:08:00] I am someone who sleeps well every night I sleep well every night and I sleep through the night.
[00:08:05] Lauren: Like I, and I'm repeating this to myself as I, and I finally fell asleep and I was like, right, like I had a good night's sleep, which is so crazy. Hal. Again, like Danielle, I'm sure, you know, if I told her this, she'd be like, you know, bang your head against the wall. Cause how many times has she talked about identity and the, and you need to become who you want to be or act as if that kind of thing.
[00:08:26] Lauren: Right. And it finally clicked for me. It was finally like, Oh, wow. Yeah. Totally get that. Now I really have to shift. Yeah. What I'm saying, what I'm thinking, right? It's that internal dialogue that we have a lot that we're not maybe communicating, but we're having it all the time.
[00:08:44] Megan: So I have a lot of thoughts swarming right now. Number one.
[00:08:47] Lauren: Yeah.
[00:08:48] Megan: Stick with me here, okay? We're gonna go a little woo woo. Their words are spells, right? Which you speak into the world you create. So we can, like, people imbue [00:09:00] things all the time, right? You're writing it down. You're giving it a protection or a whatever, what we write, what we say, what we think is the world that we are creating, right?
[00:09:09] Megan: Like it is the magic. So really thinking about that as like, when you find yourself in a loop, like, is this, is this a world that I want to create, right? Because that's what we are doing. Word is creation, right? Like that's how everything starts. Maybe somebody has an idea, but that's not where the creation starts.
[00:09:26] Megan: It's where, it's where they put it out into the world.
[00:09:30] Lauren: Right,
[00:09:31] Megan: The idea is the egg, but like the actual putting it into being is how we speak and the action that we take around it. So really, really getting intentional with that. And I'm fucking speaking to myself here because I say stuff all the time that I'm just like, afterwards, I'm like, Really?
[00:09:47] Megan: Like, why did we choose, choose those words in that conversation to share with that person to then put into their energy to then, you know, like, and
[00:09:54] Lauren: easy to do and it's easy not to do like that's the reality, right? Like we've heard this a [00:10:00] thousand times like choose your words carefully, right. They have meaning, they have energy, like they impact other people, right.
[00:10:08] Megan: And ourselves. Thanks.
[00:10:09] Lauren: and ourselves. Yeah. But we're not, Always careful. I would say we're probably not usually careful, right?
[00:10:15] Lauren: About what we're saying, what we're thinking. And it takes, though, it takes slowing down. It takes recognizing, too, what these patterns are that you
[00:10:24] Megan: Which has makes us have to break a lot of conditioning, honestly. Cause like, I don't know about you, but like, I'm somebody that I feel like I will jump into a conversation really quickly, or I give a response really quickly because for whatever reason, there's like this underlying need to move fast, right?
[00:10:38] Megan: Like, I don't want you to wait for the answer. I need to have the answer right away. So then I say things before I fully thought them through. And sometimes afterwards I'm like, I would have done that differently if I would have fucking got quiet for 30 seconds, you know, instead of feeling that pressure to answer.
[00:10:53] Megan: So like, breaking through, we talk about conditioning a lot here, but like, we are all conditioned in one way or another, right? If you had a parent [00:11:00] that hated spiders, you probably hate spiders, right? Because you grew
[00:11:04] Lauren: talks about that too. It's like an identity, right? That you, that you're, it's just ingrained in you because of, you know, it could be from your political party to your religion, to your view on money,
[00:11:14] Megan: Right, what foods you like and don't like,
[00:11:18] Lauren: all of that. But like, is it, is it really true or is this an identity that you adopted?
[00:11:23] Lauren: And I think, again, there's the lesson is take a look at what things you identify with it. And are those things that you intentionally chose or did you pick that up somewhere, right? Or did you hear that and it rubbed off on you? Or did you like, whatever it may be. And so like getting really intentional about your thoughts, your identities, all the things, right?
