On this episode of the Studio Basin podcast, Wahluke School District Superintendent Andy Harlow joined Senior Reporter Cheryl Schweizer to talk about some of the challenges the district has faced and some of the things its administration and staff have done to meet them. Harlow is a veteran of more than 20 years in the district, and talked about how he came to Mattawa and the rewards of teaching in the district.
Wahluke district patrons will decide the fate of a capital levy in the November general election, and Harlow talked about what’s in the levy request and the rationale behind it.
Next, Sports Reporter Ian Bivona and Managing Editor Rob Miller go over some of the achievements made by local teams over the previous week, including Moses Lake football, Royal football, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague volleyball and Soap Lake volleyball.
