Happy Friday and Happy National Poetry Month. National Poetry Month turns 30. Woo! Woo! Join me in celebrating poets and the poetry we enjoy. I hope you're inspired to write a poem or two. Please visit poets.org to view the festivities and learn how to get involved. I invite you to listen to my National Poetry Month poem. I've added the link in the show notes. Thank you. And happy good Friday, also known as Holy Friday. I like to commemorate the day and celebrating Jesus Christ's sacrifice and for dying on a cross for my sins. It is a time of reflection, reverence, and solitude. My own little ritual. I'm mindful of the day and will take PTO, but I'm no longer working for an employer. Black women are the largest unemployed group. Don't forget us in your prayers and thoughts. But I'm grateful to be released from being stuck at a 9 to 5 and not being able to use my gifts and talents like today. Be careful, God will answer your prayers in unusual and calamitous ways. I've also added my Good Friday and Easter poems in the show notes. Sorry, I'm protesting the bunny. The Easter bunny is an urban myth from Germany. Although I wouldn't mind eating a chocolate bunny or Cadbury egg. Mmm, yummy, yummy. I'd like to leave you with a scripture. 1 Peter 2.24. He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. Thank you for listening to this bonus clip. Please subscribe and indulge in the episodes you've missed. Have a blessed day and a good weekend. I forgot to wish you a happy spring. May your allergies be as far as the West as from the East. I hope to catch you next week. Grace and peace.
