The Lunchbox - And a Coolada Cocktail-A-Do-Ya
Irrfan Khan and Nimrat Kaur make us wish that happenstance and chance encounters were a regular occurrence. Ila's marriage is loveless and going nowhere. Saajan is a widower who quietly continues to morn the loss of his wife while he teeters on the edge of retirement. Everyday Ila preps a lunchbox for her husband which is picked up by the lunchbox delivery system. it is mistakenly delivered to Saajan who is blown away by the quality of the dishes. Notes are soon exchanged with the lunchbox acting as courier. The audience witnesses the blossoming of an unusual romance between two people who are both desperately in need of love for two wildly different reasons.
While it is a heartwarming story, by the end of it, you'll need a cocktail. Don't worry, I've got you covered.
