Ps Dan expounds from the Word of God wisdom applied
Whatever you want to call it. When the Lord visits somebody, you know, he comes to you on his time frame, and usually in the scriptures, whether it's an angel or something like that, the people hit the deck and it's scary, they're afraid. But that wasn't anything. But the Lord just visited me in something and he said, you know, 50% of Harvest Church members, only 50%, I well, he didn't say only, he said 50%. Well, if I was to blow the rapture today, blow the trumpet, only 50% would go. And I wasn't even thinking about that in my mind about the rapture singing about something else. 50% would go, 50% would stay behind. And I was like, oh Lord, that's really sad. I felt like we, because you know, in my own mind, I put a fair, we put a fair bit of work in teaching about the end times, teaching about the scriptures, what it means to be on fire for God and praying. And only 50%. Oh, this is what it is. Truth is truth. When am I going to argue? I can't argue with the boss. He's the boss. So then I went through about eight or ten of whole, I said, what about this person? What about this family? That one will stay, that one will go. Okay. Um I wanted, I was feeling a bit like a bit discouraged to tell you the truth. 50%? I mean, not even 80%, Lord? So I wanted to make the felt self feel better. So I said, what about this church? One of the largest churches in Albany. How many would stay and go if you would blow the trumpet? And he answered me, he could have ignored me, but he said, well, 22%, 23%. So I thought, okay, well, at least we're doing better than that bunch. Only one one-fifth of that group would go. People tend to, you know, like most Aussies, if you go street witness street witnessing, they most Aussies think they're going to heaven, you know what I mean? They have an elated view of themselves, people, humanity. They think they're here, or they think, you know what I mean? But it's not necessarily the truth. Only God has complete truth. Holy Spirit is a person of truth, right? Correct? The Bible is the truth. Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth. That's why we're always going to Him. So today I'm going to speak. Come on, now, right. Now just raise your hands, by the way. Just put say, Father, bring that. Let's let's get this church up to at least 70%. At least three quarters would go. Come on. Because you that's that means you could be staying behind, Alan. Hopefully not. 50% means half of the people in here today are going to be left behind. You understand what it means? So I know the deception, the way the deceitfulness of the flesh is, yeah, well, it's going to be Johan that's left behind. You know what I mean? No, no, it could be you. So God sees the heart and the fire and the individual passion and the sacrifice of every person. Amen. The giving, the praying. That's what he looks at, ultimately, right? So, you know, when Jesus came to the seven churches in Revelation, he said, I know your works. He didn't say, I know your heart. I know your intention. I know how cute your haircut is. He said, I see your works. That's what he looks at. So we go through this. You know, like uh look, you know, when the uh examiners come when they tick boxes or whatever, they look at different things. See you praying. I see how much you're serving in the local church, I see how much you're giving, I see how much you're witnessing out there, I see how you're loving others sacrificially every day. He looks at all these things, lots and lots of those little boxes, and then it comes up. You're your pass or fail. That's it. It's so simple. Don't have to overcomplicate it. No. That's why you gotta get your head in the Bible, gotta study it, find out what it says. So we're talking about wisdom today. Amen. Somebody say wisdom. Wisdom. I feel like I'm scratching. So blessed with a chicken. Well, my family members gave us a chicken, so I gave that chicken to my granddaughter, and she said, we call it chicken licken. And uh just didn't think, I couldn't think of any appropriate name, so its name is chicken licken. Poppy, chicken lickens doing a lot of scratching out there, so she doesn't know much about chickens. Yeah, it's chicken scratch. He's scratching. Yeah, that's part of who he is, honey. He scratches. I don't know why I'm saying that. What's that gonna do with wisdom? Hallelujah. What the heck's that gonna do with wisdom? So, wisdom is the principal thing. Let's have a look into Proverbs. Where do we where do we go to get wisdom? Well, let's let's first define wisdom, biblical wisdom. What is wisdom, Father? Let's just before we do that, let's back step one more. Father, we commit this time to you. Just close your eyes. Father, thank you for searching my heart, imparting the seed into my soil of my heart. Put your hand on your belly. Say thank you, Lord. That my this soil is good soil, and it receives the seed and produces. Hundredful. In Jesus' name. Amen. Okay, so all of God's word is seed, because the Bible says all of it is God breathed. Breathed, all of it, even the covers are anointed. And um, okay, Proverbs. Proverbs thinking about wisdom. So the Bible says in Proverbs there is a way that seems right to a man. Correct? But what does it end at? How does it end? It's in death, doesn't it? There is a way. Say that with me. Say there is a way that seems right. Seems right to a person. So what's the average philosophy in Australian culture? The average philosophy, the way that seems right to most Aussies is if I'm a relatively good person, right, God's gonna let me to heaven. As long as I don't murder anybody, uh, commit pedophilia, God will allow me to go to heaven. Would you agree? If you've done straight witness saying, you get to talk to people, you talk to 100, 200, you'll find out that probably about 50% of the people are gonna come, more, maybe 70%, they're gonna come back with this attitude, this philosophy. Well, I'm a good person. So if there is a heaven and hell, yeah, God would let me into heaven. But how are they judging that assessment? On their own from their own judgment, aren't they? Correct. Hallelujah. So that's why we've got to get back into what's the standard here? Proverbs. Let's go into Proverbs. Now, with wisdom, biblical wisdom is different than worldly wisdom. And it's uh biblical wisdom, it's founded, only comes from. Well, let's go, man, where do we start? Such a big topic. I'm like thinking of all these scriptures. Let's go back to Genesis. Go right back to Genesis. Okay, let's just start there. Let's talk about the person of wisdom. Hallelujah. Okay, Genesis chapter 1, verse 1. Genesis chapter 1, verse 2. In the beginning, God, Elohim, created. God is the creator, he likes to create. God likes to create. Yeah. God likes to create. He gets pleasure out of that. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Alright. Now, there is a gap theory out there that some people, we don't know how old the earth is. This is wisdom. Some people say it could be millions of years old. Could be. Some people assume that between Genesis chapter 1, verse 1, and assume, this is a problem with assumption, that and verse 2, that it's it's in linear. In other words, it happened automatically. Not necessarily, there could be a gap there of 10 million years. How do you know? It just says in the beginning, God made. We don't know when God put man on the earth. So why see the thing is sometimes people assume certain things. We don't know how old the earth is. Do we? Definitely not gonna go by carbon dating, but uh some people believe some Christians believe in a literal 6,000-year-old earth. But they can't prove it. And they get very proud. Some people get very proud and arrogant in their views. They think they're right. Some people believe the earth is flat. I wish it was, mate, because flying from England, it would have been much quicker. I'll tell you what. Going around this big ball, you know, flying around it. If it was if it was just flat, it would have been easier. Anyway. Should have come to England with me, then we could have blown that one apart. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Alright? Gap. We don't know how long. Say verse 2. The earth was without form of void. The Hebrew word is tohu bohu. Turn to your neighbors, say tohu. Bohu. It's got nothing to do with smelly feet. Tohu, bohu, okay? You're not telling your neighbor you have smelly feet. Just two words. Hebrew words. Tohu bohu. And it means chaos. Without any structure. Turn to your neighbor, say without structure.
SPEAKER_00Without structure.
SPEAKER_01Chaos.
unknownChaos.
SPEAKER_01Complete chaos. Who's ever been into a house where you can't get through the front door? And you've got to sort of move stuff to meet the person, somebody's yelling at the back of the house. Yeah, I'm through here. And you've got to pull, you know, you're kind of like, man, I'd love to bring in a truck, a bobcat in here and just clean out the house. So this word tohu bohu. Say it again. Tohu bohu. So now you're all Hebrew, man. Lord, look, we've got Hebrews. Surely you'd want to take a whole hundred percent of us, Lord. Huh? I mean, we're all Hebrew specialists now. Tohu bohu. So it's uh it's it's a mess. Now, interesting, you basically can trace all the principles of the kingdom back to Genesis. Okay? We learn that as we keep walking with the Lord. So a lot of Genesis and Revelations, a lot of the principles of the kingdom, you can find the hidden truths in Revel in Genesis. So God creates this mess. And then He starts to, in the Hebrew language, He starts to divide it. He brings structure to the mess. Does that bring that sound like anything about your life? Ring any bells? Huh? Has anybody got any bells this morning? Whose bell's been wrong? Okay, yeah, you came into the life. And then now, God, when you meet Jesus, it starts to bring in boundaries. He says, actually, no, living, that's uh living together is called, I call it fornication, and the wages of sin is death. If you keep doing that, you'll go to hell. So I'm gonna bring in I'm doing this because I love you. Stop it, stop it now. Okay, so that's a structure that comes into your life. Say Tohu Bohu. Now, who is the author of Tohu Bohu? No. Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us the Spirit of God hovered. Now, who can do a good hovering? Okay, look at what you do. Who likes to watch one of those falcons? You know the birds that are hovering over their prey? This is the picture. Hovering. Can you do a hovering? Anyone want to embarrass themselves in front of everybody else? Yeah, I do a pretty good job. I've been thoroughly embarrassed so many times that I'm so hovering. Holy Spirit comes to hover and to bring structure if you'll let him. Why isn't this church full this morning? Because a lot of people don't want to bohu being sorted out. They're quite happy with their tohu bohu. Thank you very much. Leave me alone in my tohu bohu. Amen. Leave me alone. I'm driving around, I'm wrapping my tohu bohu, my $80,000 BM Trouble U. And I've got my two-story house on the beach, but I'm very happy inside this tohu bohu. But leave me alone. I put makeup on it, I put extension, uh uh, long eyelashes under tohu bohu. And I've got $300 shoes. Wrap. That's all a cover up. Turn to your neighbor say it's all a cover up. I dyed my hair this morning. My lord, do we cover up some stuff? You know, if you're starting to get a bit of a bulge. Hey brother, you uh anyway, so you want cover up, so what do we do? Ladies start to get baggy clothes. Correct or not? You didn't know, John. Oh, wake up, come on. So so the so we're living we're living in an earth of cover-up facades. I've got a hat on this morning. You say why? Because I'm cold, but also to cover half of my bowl head at the front. Okay. So, and the back. Thanks, honey. Cover a bowl patch at the back. So it's a cover-up. Feel better, feel a bit more comfortable. The wisdom of God. You know, the wisdom of God is very freeing. When you can look in the mirror and laugh at yourself when you're not so serious, you're not so full of self-importance. Lord, what would happen to this church if I if I left? What's gonna happen to the body of Christ, Lord? Uh, it'll keep going. Everything will keep going. God just chooses to use you, but you know what I mean. He can just keep going. And it's gonna be fine and dandy. Thank you very much. Hallelujah. Okay, well, we didn't get very far, did we? Only got to verse 2. So you guys better, did you bring your uh your sleepers tonight? Because we want to get to at least to Genesis 10. No, we won't, we won't go. So the earth was tohu bohu, uh on the uh and darkness on the face of the deep, and the spirit of God was hovering. Oh, so he's always waiting. Isn't that beautiful? I love Holy Spirit. I have grieved him, vexed him, done a lot of dumb things, and I get older. I realize that I want to be an invitation, I need to invite Holy Spirit as much as possible into my world. See, Christians can have the indwelling spirit. Put your hand on your belly. The Bible says Jesus will never leave me nor forsake me. Correct. Now put your hand on your shoulder. Say, the anointing upon. That is what you don't want to fly away. Because when the Spirit of God flies away, you're left to your own understanding, your own ideas and precepts and struggles. You need both. Say, I need the anointing on the inside, and I also need the anointing on the outside. That's wisdom. That's wisdom. That's somebody that's growing in the things of God. That's somebody that's made a few mistakes and wandered into the spiritual wilderness and realized, man, there's only snakes. You know, when you walk out to the desert, the snakes, such intense heat and such intense cold, and there's a lot of tears out there because the Spirit of God's not with you. You're doing your own thing, like Jonah. Oh Lord, I'm up to my neck in octopus guts. And can you imagine how Jonah smelt? How do you think he smelled? Who's ever had a bath? Uh who's ever smelt dead fish? Somebody left a, you know, what do you call it? Um, we keep uh an eski in our farm. Nice big eskey. I thought, wow, they came camping illegally and left an eskey behind. So, oh beauty. Mummy shot off, maybe they heard me coming. So I thought, well, I'll grab that, throw it in the back of the Ute. I thought, boy, that thing stinks. So I got it home and it still has some dead fish in there. I've been there two or three weeks. Oh, what a smell. Who'd like to have a bath in dead fish guts? So Jonah, I know we read this and we think Jonah had, you know, he just had some fresh, he had a fresh shower down there and the belly of the fish. No, he stumped to high heaven and he'd had a belly full after, literally had a belly full after three days. Now, wisdom will say, this is why wisdom, we're going to go into Proverbs in a minute. Wisdom is calling out to everybody this morning, come to church, hear the word of God, to a church that's preaching the word. Wisdom's always calling out. It never stops calling. Every the Bible says in Romans, every pagan, every unbeliever is without excuse because the heavens, the stars, the wind, the sunrise in the morning, the sunset at night is declaring the manifold wisdom of God to the atheist, to the agnostic, to the Buddhist, to everyone. That's why they're without excuse. The sun comes up in the morning when they stand before God and say, Well, I've never heard the gospel message. Do you remember those sunstets? Do you remember those sunrises? Do you remember when you looked out? I was there. How do you think that ball of fire just appeared from nowhere? Did you ever question? Did you ever question when you looked at a baby that was being born? Did you ever wonder where the intrinsic knowledge for that every cell of that baby, the hands and the feet and the eyelashes to start to form from nothing? Did you ever question that? So wisdom's always speaking. It's whether people have ears for him or whether they close their heart. Right now, wisdom is speaking in this room. Just because you're Christian doesn't mean that you're going to be wise. Jesus said, Matthew 7, there's people that come to church, hear the word, the fools, moros, and there's people that hear it, and there's people that hear it and do it. The wise ones are the ones that apply. Amen. Correct? Jesus said, This is the wise person. They hear about the gift of tongues and they get they search the scriptures and they go, Lord, this is for me. I can clearly see it. Surrender themselves totally. That's a wise person. Immediately submitting to the word of God. That's a wise person. What's a fool? What does a fool do? Argue with God, like the Pharisees. Yes? You don't see, Lord, they don't seem that convinced. Oh man, it's hard work down here sometimes. Yeah, no. You went through it all. It's hard work. That's okay. I'm in a little conversation with the Lord right now. When you reject any verse, any scripture in God's word, and say, oh, that's not for me, you're rejecting Him. Wisdom says, Lord, I don't fully understand this verse, but uh I know it's you, so I accept it. Give me more understanding. Help me understand this uh verse, whatever, because it just doesn't mean much to me right now. It's very confusing. So that's that's the way that's the right way to approach Jesus when humility. Amen. Oh I don't understand tithing that God's asking me. He owns the whole earth, he owns the cattle on a thousand hills. And then he's asking me for the first fruits. That's mean. Come on, Lord. Uh then a wise, a person with some intelligence is gonna say the next question, actually, God, do you need this uh hundred dollars out of the thousand dollars? Do you actually need it? Um actually you don't really need it. So why would you ask me to give it? Maybe it's a faith test, maybe it's an obedience test. Huh? Could be. Could it be? Could be Hallelujah. No, we're talking about why so why. Is hell full? Because people reject count, they reject the word of God, they reject Jesus, they reject the counsel of God's word. That's why hell is full. You wonder why. Well, it's because they don't have any time for truth, they're busy with other things. So the earth was tohu vohu. Holy Spirit said, and then God starts to. Now we're not going to read all this for the sake of time. Verse 3, God said, Let there be light. So there's a separation. Okay? Everything's a mess. Now we're going to separate the light, say light, and we're going to separate the night and the day. There's going to be a big light bulb for day. What's that called? What's the big light bulb called? It's not LED, it's the sun. And there's a little light bulb through the night. Moon. We're going to separate those two. We're going to call that day. We're going to call that night. And then God starts to separate things. He separates the waters from the earth. Separates the wisdom of God. In his people, the Bible says in the last days, he's going to separate the tares and the wheat. He's God's okay with separating. In this church. The Bible says he's a consuming fire. Fire separates those that love him. People that love him are always called to the right. If you hear a voice calling you to the left in the middle of the night, you wake up and see this angel and it's calling you to the left. I personally would pray in the Holy Ghost. Go for a worship. Because God never calls people to the left. Well, the people on the left are his enemies. The goats. People that are accepted by him are called to the right. So he comes, God's a separator. Turn to your neighbor and say, God has no problem separating people. Now you might, but he doesn't. Some people don't like that. They think he's very judgmental. But that's that's who God is. And we see the pattern here in Genesis. Who's got a heart for wisdom today? Who's hungry to learn more? You're in the position you're in because you know everything you know, sister. Therefore, you're in the position you're in. Me too. Wisdom suggests I could actually learn something if I open my heart today. Maybe I could learn something. Maybe I don't know everything. Right? Amen. Hallelujah. Okay, so God starts to separate all this. Now we just wanted to go back to so the found the founder, founding person of all wisdom is the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit. Okay. So let's just let's go back now to Proverbs. Proverbs. Oh, I'm gonna find it. Where is it? After Psalms? How many chapters? 31? Who's memorized uh Proverbs 31 woman? Put your hand up, ladies, if you'd like to be a Proverbs 31 Woman. Amazing woman, hey? Okay, Proverbs, let's just start. Let's just let's just go through some, okay? There's nothing like God's word, just reading it as it is. Amen. Let's find out what his wisdom looks like. So Proverbs chapter 1 tells us here, the Proverbs of Solomon. You know, the sad thing about Solomon is that we can learn wisdom from Solomon. Amen. Solomon! What was he known for? And wealth. He was the wealthiest guy on the planet. Gold became so cheap and nasty. I mean, can you imagine making toilet seats out of silver? Gold became so abundant in Jerusalem. It was like, oh yeah, so what? You visit somebody's house, Jimmy, see all the plates, they're all gold. It's just no big deal. He became because God blessed them so much, alright? Because of the wisdom of Solomon. People would fly in or try, you know, come to see Solomon from the nations of the earth to listen to his wisdom. So he was very wealthy. But at the end of his days, there's a couple of instructions that he failed to do. He failed in wisdom. Even though he wrote most of the book of Proverbs. Isn't it interesting that you can appear, you can even try and bring instruction to others? You've been a teacher. You've been a teacher to others, and yet you yourself, me included, we can fail in the very wisdom and counsel we brought to others. We did by not applying it. Isn't that interesting? What did Solomon do? What was his big downfall? Why do we have Ecclesiastes? Okay, I want somebody to read two verses from Ecclesiastes. Let's just get the general gist of Ecclesiastes quickly. Who's listening today? This is like being in school this morning. It's quite interesting. This is how I teach in school, like in high school. Probably not so much because I don't know. Who's in Ecclesiastes? Quickly, steak. Okay, read us two verses just quickly.
SPEAKER_00Just a time to burn, a time sorry, a time to be born, a time to die. Time to plant and a time to be.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you're reading good verses. Keep reading. Go on then, keep reading.
SPEAKER_00Time to kill and a time to heal. A time to break down and a time to build up. A time to weep and a time to lie. A time to mourn and a time to dance. Time to pass away. A time to gather, a time to embrace, a time to refrain from embracing. A time to gain and a time to lose, a time to kiss, and a time to throw away, a time to tear, and a time to burn, a time to keep silent, and a time to speak, a time to love, and a time to hate, a time of war and a time of peace.
SPEAKER_01Amen. So Murray read some good parts of Ecclesiastes. But if you read the general the general counsel of Ecclesiastes is all life is a waste of time. All life, I wish I'd never been born. Right? Because he goes through all this. Let me just verse 15. I have seen everything in my days of vanity. Vanity, he calls it. Everything. He comes to a conclusion in the end of his life, does our Solomon, that really life itself is a waste of space. That's his call, if you summarize Ecclesiastes. Why is that? Because he failed to walk in the truth of God's word. He, the Bible, God's already said, do not marry women from other religions. They will bring in their idols and they will cause you to fail and stumble. You'll want to please them. And you'll bring in the idol. And I can't bless that, Solomon. I can't bless idolatry. I can't bless you worshiping false idols. Well, how many wives did he have? 700 plus 300. That's a thousand women he had to please. Man, imagine that, Jimmy. You'd be working your butt off, man, trying to keep all these thousand women happy. Wow. A thousand, say a thousand women. And you know what? Were they all Jews? No. He went for some Egyptian women. He went for some women from Philistia. He went for some women from different places. And guess what they brought with them? Their charms, their ashtra's, their idols, and eventually when their cuddles wore off, hey, do you mind putting Ashtra just there in the corner of our palaces? Come on. My father, it's just my father's God. So eventually he compromised. And that's why we have Ecclesiastes. Say wisdom cries out. The question is, are you listening? Are you what are you hearing today? Wisdom cries out. God's word is full of wisdom. Amen. Hallelujah. It's full of wisdom. So Solomon was the author of wisdom. I mean, think about this. There's little examples we have. Okay, two women. Two women living together in this house, sharing a house. One of them, one of the babies, dies. Both got two young babies looking the same age, born at the same time. And one of these women is a real nasty so-and-so. Nasty. The babies look similar. So in other words, one hasn't got blue eyes and red hair. They both look similar. And the one that lost her baby says, Hey, your baby died last night. And the real mother's going, No, he didn't. He's here. Yes, he did. There's your dead baby. So they begin to fight. Say fight. So then they go into Solomon to the king to get counsel. I mean, there's a real scrap going on. And what does Solomon do? I mean, just this is why Pauline Hansen, you know, people like God exalts the humble but resists the proud. That's why if this these leaders stay in this country, they'll bring it down. They'll bring it down just to nothing, because they don't know how to manage a country and they're happy with destroying it. But it just takes one person to say, no, global warm global warming is a facade, and we cut all those taxes and we let Australian businesses prosper again. Just takes one person like that that's full of wisdom. And guess what? Guess what will happen to Australia? We're nose diving right now, one trillion dollars in debt, and it'll keep going like that until the council changes. What will pull it out? So your airplane, when it's nose diving, I've driven an airplane for about five minutes. When it's no, it starts to scream, and it's going faster and faster to the earth. It can be pulled out if it doesn't, if there's enough space between Earth, it can be pulled out of that that that dive, can't it? Until catastrophe comes. So wisdom's crying out 24-7. Let's have a look then at Proverbs. Let's go and have a look at uh Proverbs. Well, let's go back to Proverbs. So the very guy that was talking about wisdom, eventually, he what? Come on now, who's awake here today? What happened to Solomon, the very author of the book of Proverbs? He stopped applying it. Right? Correct? And what happened? What was his ending? Misery. Come on now, say misery. Because he didn't hearken to God's word, he didn't put it into practice. He was a fool. He was like Matthew 7, fool. He only heard and he heard and he heard. He's an intellectual Christian. And then great was its destruction at the end. Okay, great was its destruction. Okay, Proverbs chapter 1. So we're going to pick up on some Proverbs, how important it is in our life. Proverbs chapter 1, verse 2, to know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding, to receive the instruction of wisdom. Hallelujah. Justice, judgment, and equity. So justice is part of God's wisdom. Justice, judgment, and equity. To give wisdom to the simple, to the young man, knowledge and discretion. Raise your hand if you're a young person in here. Say there's no excuse. Young people can be full of wisdom and knowledge, just like Daniel was, if they have a heart to learn God's ways. Amen. Verse 5 says, A wise person will inhere and increase learning. One of the characteristics of a wise person, they never stop learning. Come on now. They're not these kind of people that think they know it all, they're the opposite. A wise person never stops learning. So for you know, it could be any area of life. It could be in eating healthy, it could be in financial stewardship, it could be in family relationships, but you never stop growing. You never stop learning. The moment you stop learning, you stagnate. Relationship skills. As a street evangelist, I've got to keep learning. I'm always learning, watching, learning, asking questions because there's so many people yet I haven't met. With all their personal stories. So I have to. The only way I'm gonna learn, how am I gonna learn? Be out there. That's if I want to increase my capacity and my fruitfulness in that area. I'm not gonna increase by standing at home, am I? How are you gonna increase your finances in the kingdom? Work? The Bible says a lazy hand produces. A lazy person is always subject to the Proverbs. Wisdom says a lazy person is always subject to what? A worker. It's just the principle. Come on, I say a lazy person. You don't look at me like, hey, say a lazy person will always be working for a diligent hand, somebody that's diligent. That's just a principle of wisdom. Proverbs. Do you believe Proverbs? Yeah. Hallelujah. Okay. A wise man will increase in hear learning. A man of understanding will get wise counsel. Hallelujah! The multi-billionaire in Adelaide. I remember being there to listen to him. He's gone to be with the uh we don't have to Christian. Christian businessman, billionaire. One guy, he's got you could buy all of his books for $2,000. One foolish Christian says, oh, walks away from the book table. How could he, he's a billionaire? This is a fool speaking. He's a multi, he's a billionaire. How could he charge $2,000 for his books? And another guy says, like I talked to another businessman, he said, that $2,000. If I learn one thing from him, multi-billion, not many billionaires. Any billionaires in here today? So if I learn one thing from him and it increases my productivity in my business by $100,000, the two every year, $2,000 is nothing. Different attitude. In Detroit, North America. You know what I'm saying? And so this guy who sets up all the whole, you know, the mass production of cars, the first one to have all the line of things, the line, what do you call them? Uh construction um assembly lines. First time in America. And so this thing breaks down. The assembly, the assembly uh production of all these Model T Fords, pumping them out, you know, are cheap, very cheap. First cars people could actually buy. And so the whole thing, production plant, closes down. And so they're like trying to fix it. Why is it not working? So they they they say, well, they've got to ring the man who who designed this system. Got to find out where he is. They ring him up, he said, yeah. He said, Can you come and fix it? He said, Well, how much you're gonna pay me? $100,000. I'll come for a hundred thousand dollars if you want. Oh, hundred thousand dollars. Well, actually, no, I think he went he went and fixed it and he put a bill in for a hundred thousand dollars. And they're like, Well, how could you charge? It was ten minutes to fix the assembly. How could you charge us a hundred thousand dollars? He said, because I knew exactly where to go, and that's why it took me ten minutes. You've been fiddling at this for two hours, whatever it was, couldn't get the problem. So you're paying. This is wisdom. See, wisdom the wisdom of God is different. That's why Jesus said, narrow is the path that leads to heaven. Wide is the way, easy is the way that leads to hell. Easy, just don't do anything. Don't you never say, Don't do anything. You'll go to hell. Because faith without works is dead. Just don't pray, don't fast, don't witness, don't do nothing, and guess what? You'll drift where? You'll drift to hell. Correct? No, some of you don't believe that. Say, wide is the way, Jesus said, wide is the way that leads to destruction. So a wise person is hungry for God's word. Amen. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Okay, let's have a look here. Proverbs chapter 1. Oh, we're just gonna pick out some things here, talking about wisdom. Um, my son, verse 15, my son, my daughter, do not walk in the way with fools. Keep your foot from their path, for their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed blood. Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird, but they that lie in wait for their own blood, they lurk secretly for their own lives. So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain. Interesting. Greed, greed. So is the ways of everybody that's greedy for gain. Christians, there are many Christians with covetous hearts. They love money like Judas more than God. And how can they tell? How can you tell? Because they're tight, they don't give to God's work. They love money. And the Bible says here, you know, when I look at people sometimes and I see, and I when I first landed in the UK, it's become very atheistic and agnostic. And the first impression of all these white people walking around is sadness and they're miserable. Man, it's a miserable place. And that is one of the one of the reasons is because of that verse. What does it say? Greed, the spirit of greed. What does it do? What does it say? Read it. It actually chokes who's ever cut I cut down a vine recently in our property because the vine was wrapping around a tree and it was choking it. Greed will eventually choke the very life of the individual itself without them realizing it. That's what the vine was doing. Because it's so slow, it creeps. So how that's why Jesus said, He said, Beware of the spirit of covetousness. Beware of it. Watch it, doesn't trap you, didn't he? Did Jesus say that? Okay. Hallelujah. Man, who's enjoying Proverbs so far? We've only just got down to verse 20. The wisdom cries out outside. It calls, it cries. Jesus alluded to the birds. He said, Look, if you're worrying about who's going to provide for you, what you're going to buy, well, I've got enough money for food. How am I going to pay for some new ties for the car? Lord. What did he allude it to? The principle in Matthew chapter 6. Take no thought. Don't be worried about these things, but consider the lilies of the field. We got lilies on our property. Well, what would be what about the bottle brush? Let's bring it down. Who's got a bottle brush in their back garden? Consider the bottle brush. Consider the the creepers or whatever you've got in your garden. Wisdom. Wisdom. I like being around wise people. The Bible says in Proverbs, a wise person likes to be around wise people. A fiz wise people don't like to be around fools. Don't like it. When you perceive, now we're gonna have time probably to go into these scriptures, but the Bible talks about a wise person. When they perceive stupidity in the mouth or the lips of a fool, they leave and they depart. And I've seen this many times amongst leaders, amongst Christian leaders. Just because somebody's a pastor doesn't mean that they're wise. They talk flesh. They talk sickness, disease, they talk problems, they talk fear. A wise person will depart. They will close their heart and depart from that mess. The Bible's wisdom. Evil company corrupts. What does corrupt mean? What does it mean to be corrupted? Corrupted. Corrupt. Judges, policemen. What if we got a corrupt copper in Albany? What does that mean? Some drug dealer probably offered him 30 grand just to you mate some cash here, just stay quiet. Let me just let the car roll on. Pretend you never saw anything. Here's 30 for you. We have corrupt coppers. Hopefully, not many, hopefully none here. But the enticement for greed, the love of money is such a temptation for some people that they'll do it. And now they're corrupt. What's a corrupt copper worth? Once they've been found out, what are they worth to the police department? Because one corrupt copper, if they leave that one corrupt copper, and that's what's happened, if they do it, you know what he does? He'll contaminate somebody else that's weak. And eventually there's a whole bunch of them in there. That's improvement. That's what corruption does. So that's why the Bible says you're going to depart from evil. Amen. Okay, let's keep reading. Thank you for wisdom, Lord. So many facets of wisdom, isn't there? So many different facets. It says here, verse 22, we're just on Proverbs chapter 1, verse 22. How long, you stupid people, will you love stupidity? For scorners delight in their scorning and mocking. And fools hate knowledge. You know, fools don't want to learn. Fools think they know it all. Say fools think they know it all. Say fools, say it again. Say fools. I remember, you know, years ago there was this uh ministry in Mount Barker, and he he was running this particular healing program. It's a it was you know it was run around the world, and one of the problems with this healing program is that there was a spirit of pride attached to it. So, in other words, people that got involved with this particular healing program they became so puffed up, arrogant, that they thought that was the only way to get healed. And he ran that program, and unfortunately, he came under that spirit of that particular leader. I'm not going to say who it is, but I've just seen the fruits of this thing over the years. And he came under that, and the whole pastor and the whole church basically came under a lot of condemnation because if you didn't get healed this particular way, or if you didn't follow these particular principles, you were condemned, you came under condemnation. And he wrecked basically, you know, kind of wrecked the church a little bit. Lack of wisdom. If you just read, come on now, say if I just read, if I just read Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, if I just have an open heart, come on now, say open heart, I would see how the master heals. One day he's how's he healing? Spitting. One day he's healing through the command of faith. Another day he's healing by sending them to the priest. Come under the law, go meditate on the law. How else did the master heal? Anoint he in Luke it says he anointed some. He even used anointing oil. Jesus. But this, unfortunately, this is what happens with people. They get sometimes we get we get proud. We get locked into a particular formula. And it's it's not necessarily the truth we're standing on, it's the other aspects of truth we're leaving out. That's why the hyper-grace message will cause many to go to hell because they're not walking in holiness. The Bible says the pure in heart shall see God. And so some of them have taken grace, as it says in Jude in the last times, they've pushed it to an extreme nonsense. They've left out all the other scriptures they leave out that they don't want to focus on. If they just focus on the teachings in red, go back to what Jesus has said, it would balance them out, but they refuse to do that. So they want to be deceived. They want to be deceived. Okay? Because if people reject the counsel, I mean if you reject the words in red, there's not much hope for you, brother. No hope for you. You've just rejected the counsel of God. What are you gonna do? Who else are you gonna go to? Come on now. If you don't like God's word and his counsel, where are you gonna go? What Buddha? What's he gonna give you? Him? Krishna. You're done. Everywhere you go, there's deception there waiting for you. Because if you reject the counsel of God's word. Hallelujah. Well, I don't like it, Lord. I don't like how you say that. That's tough. We gotta get out, gotta get over it, haven't we? Amen. Okay, let's let's flick over. What about Proverbs chapter 2? My son. Wave your hand here if you're one of his daughters, one of his sons. Is that you? Okay. Three of you. My son, if you if you receive my words and treasure my commands within you, treasure. How much do you treasure? Lord, I'm looking, I'm judging myself lately because I've gotten a little bit distracted with other things. How much do you really treasure God's word? What's the first thing you go for in the morning? Coffee, social media, news? What treasures are other treasures that are coming before truth? Only you know. Really? Do you really treasure his word? And that's what God's this is how God speaks to me. Like, so I'm just talking to you how he talks to me. Do you really treasure my word, son? And what about this, this, and this? Allowing other things to come in that are more important than my word. Really? You say you treasure my word? No, I'm not talking, I'm just talking generally, generalization. Hallelujah. Really? How hard it must be to Jesus to say to into his own people, there are fools in my house, like in Matthew 7, and there are wise people. The foolish person comes to hear the word, the wise person hears it and applies it. How difficult that must be. You know, if you're a parent and you love your kids, and to but to acknowledge they're a fool. Do you think that's easy? Not easy as a parent. But truth is truth. They've chosen foolish ways, right? So hallelujah. Okay. Verse 2 says, so that your you incline your ear to wisdom and apply your heart to understanding. There is an application process of applying our heart, and it's a lifestyle. It is a lifestyle. I believe, like for me, a lot of things happen in prayer. Maybe that's why only 50% of this church will go into rapture should Jesus calls it, because only about 50% are committed to like corporate prayer. I don't know, it could be a reason, but in prayer, there's a lot of things happening. Prayer, you're demonstrating to God that number one, his kingdom's first. Prayer, you're demonstrating that you you're not going to do it in your own strength, because you're coming to him. I need you, Lord. Through your action. You're not just saying it, you've got fruits. You've got action. Faith has action. So when you when you're a person of prayer, you're telling God through your fruits of your labor, through your demonstration, that you he's wisdom is more important than your wisdom. His wisdom that, by the way, he can give it to you any given moment. He can give you the keys. Amen. Don't go here, don't go there. He can keep you from death. Don't go down that street today. Thank you, Jesus. We've seen I've seen a couple of young people dead and killed over the years, and it's always sad, especially when they have a call of God on their life. Young people. It always comes back down to they didn't hear they didn't hearken to wisdom. God was trying to get their attention. God was trying to get them to come back to you know to serving in the local church. They drifted and they got around the wrong people. And two of them, you know, were found with with with with uh in alleyways, knifed. One we went to Bible college with. Oh man, could this guy was so gifted? Just the gift of talk, you know, he but he just had the gift of the guy, would have made a brilliant preacher. But he just chose the wrong decisions, and the devil, the devil loves that. And a lot of it has to do with made, you know, when we when we're given keys, there's a master key. When we go into the jail, into the prison system, there's a mask master key that will go through many doors. There's a there's other keys that will only go into certain doors. So a master key is a very important key because it gets you through into most a lot of the prison. Master key. So one of the master keys for every Christian is to Matthew 6.33. Say Matthew. That's it. It's a master key. If you fail to do this, don't forget about asking God to bless you and bless your family and bless your because you're failing. You're failing the first requirement of the principles of the kingdom, which is seek ye first. Seek ye, not last, not when it not if it's inconvenient, not before you want to take two jobs and bring in more money. But you can have a car accident and you're dead tomorrow because you're trying to chase more money. What's it gonna profit you? You're dead, you're finished. It's far better to get God's wisdom. Come on now, say it's far better. It's far better to get the God's wisdom. Any day of the week. Hallelujah. Seek ye first. So, my son, if you receive my words and treasure my commands within you, so that you incline your eager wisdom, apply your heart to understand. Yes, if you cry out for discernment, Lord, give me discernment, I pray, Father. Lift up your voice for understanding. If you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord. Wow. Hallelujah. Amen. What is the fear of the Lord? We've got to cry out for it, haven't we? For the Lord give, verse 6 says, The Lord gives wisdom. I believe God gave me a wife. I believe it was the wisdom of God that hid Karen for me. Has there been sometimes difficulties in a marriage? Yeah, like any marriage, I had to work through things, but the wisdom of God has a person for you. Holy Spirit. Yeah, talking to, I think it was Pastor's son, I can't remember now. I think it was in Cum uh Vietnam. And uh praying for that, you know, young people want a partner, especially young girls. In Indonesia in a few weeks, they'll love, oh mate, all the lights of these young people, you know, the girls' faces light up when you talk about because they they're probably about 70% girls compared to about 20 to 30 percent young men, so they want a partner, so their face lights up when you talk about who desires who desires a godly man here, and they start giggling. Because they'd love a man that's a heart after God, they'd love that. So you've got to wait, you've got to wait for the right one. It's better not to get married and marry the wrong one than marry, oh my Lord, what pain and suffering people have Christians when they marry the wrong one because they're impatient, they let their flesh and the devil gets in there. He's very careful, very cunning as the devil, very crafty. That's why you need the discernment of the Holy Spirit. Show me the hearts of people, Lord, even in this church. People, we've had I've had all kinds of people come to me. Pastor.
