Speaker 1:

Cotman, Crawford and the Jersey Guy podcast.

Speaker 2:

Hey everybody, Kenny.

Speaker 1:

Cotman, lewis Crawford and I'm Tom Remmage, the Jersey Guy.

Speaker 2:

Hello, hello my peoples. What's going on? Gentlemen, how y'all?

Speaker 3:

doing today? What's going on, how you guys doing on.

Speaker 2:

Nothing, brother. Same old stuff. Different day, decent week, yeah, how was Turkey? And everything?

Speaker 3:

Good, all day was good, Excellent excellent.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you did. We had our Thanksgiving, we did the vegan Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2:

What extra?

Speaker 1:

Suzanne was over. Eric was over.

Speaker 2:

No, we got up on the show. We're over, let's not get into it. Yeah, yeah, that's the next episode Talking about Thanksgiving real quick.

Speaker 3:

I told Fred and also Grant House Unity quote that I would mention them again. The food pantry the food pantry in Brooklyn, New York, Flatbush 2046, Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York. You guys can make donations. Go there, help out. These guys are there. I think it's Tuesdays and Thursdays of every week and, being that this is the time of the year, everybody is struggling. Some people are struggling.

Speaker 3:

So go to any food pantry of course, if you're in that area and donate if you can and help out if you can participate and help them out at the place. Yeah, definitely yes, and their number is also 718-266-9700 and you can donate at grandhouseunitycom. So I wanted to get that in there, real quick.

Speaker 3:

All right, so now I'm excited about this because we were supposed to do it earlier in October but then something come up which I totally understood, with Halloween and everything right around the corner. We have Full Moon Power Normal on the phone with us who are guests, and we have all the ladies along with us Lisa, suzanne and Nicole.

Speaker 2:

Yes, how you guys doing. Thank you for being on.

Speaker 5:

Hi how you doing.

Speaker 2:

Good, good, good, good things.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so check it out. So I was curious. I know you have this thing coming up tomorrow, but before we get into about tomorrow, I was really curious. More of like first thing I wanted to ask is how did you guys get started? Whose idea was it? Was it just something that just happened by accident? You know, I was really curious because you guys are starting to really make a dent on social media and I see you lost me. Everything's gone now, bro. No, I lost it. No, no, I hear you, but keep speaking. So anyway, we had a technical difficulty there, so let's go from there. Ladies, how did this get started? Whose idea was it?

Speaker 5:

So Lisa and another woman, debbie, who is not with the group because she moved actually started Full Moon Power Normal back in 2021. So if Lisa's comfortable, she can jump in here and tell you why it got started.

Speaker 4:

Yes, so we got started because we were, you know, we wanted to like start raising money for some of the local like museums in the area and start. I'm trying to think of how it actually got started. We were going with other groups and we were just saying to ourselves we could do this ourselves, we could raise money for these historic homes, we can do something really good in this area. And we just took that idea and just ran with it and we started promoting ourselves and doing a lot of networking and I made several calls to several museums and email people and I introduced myself and we really got our name out there and people seem to really like us and we started, you know, raising money for a lot of local places and it just really took off and that's awesome, yeah, here we are Nice.

Speaker 5:

The first public event that we did was at the Chance Theatre in Poughkeepsie in Park and that was great. I got into Full Moon because I was looking to get a ticket to go to the Chance, to go to the investigation. Oh, but then I saw that they were looking for a third investigator. So I applied and we all just kind of clicked and I felt right, like it's important to have the right people that you're investigating with, that you're on a team with.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, the chemistry definitely makes a difference.

Speaker 1:

So how did you guys get into like the whole paranormal investigations, like like I guess scene, you know?

Speaker 6:

Like how did you get started?

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 6:

Like when you grow up in areas where you're experiencing paranormal things you know as a kid, as a teenager, and then I started getting involved with mediumship. And it was just kind of like a natural progression from one to the next.

Speaker 3:

Right, that would make sense.

Speaker 6:

You start questioning things and you're like, wow, can we get evidence of this?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, because you know, you see things, you hear things and you're like where did that come from? And then now you guys are that's crazy. Now do you guys mostly do, like I said, like the museums, the public places, or do you help out people with you know, in their private homes, like the extending? We do both, okay.

Speaker 5:

We try to do like a public investigation around once a month, because it really, you know, helps bring to light the history of our area, because there's so much history here.

Speaker 5:

Everything is so old and a lot of these places really need to help. So we like to do that. But we also take on private cases as well and go into homes or businesses where people might be having activity and help them kind of understand it better and see what's going on and you know if additional steps need to be taken then we can go ahead with that. But usually it's just kind of letting the homeowners or business owners know what's going on and understand it better.

Speaker 3:

Right, and we can really go ahead with that whether it's a help them feel comfortable not afraid.

Speaker 6:

Right.

Speaker 4:

And we also like to do stuff, you know, just on our own also, like when we can really do like a deep dive investigation just with the team, and you know we enjoy that a lot. Actually, none, we could just really spend hours doing it on our own.

Speaker 5:

But yeah, we have a group of investigators that we work with in our little para family and we'll do investigator only events once in a while that we can get them all together and really really get into investigating a place.

Speaker 2:

So when you guys get into that, do you go to like, is it a consensus? And we're like all right, we want to go see this place. And you know, I mean I know everything I see on TV and you know I watch all the ghost hunters and ghost adventures and all that other stuff and it seemed like they always ask permission or have to get all kind of permission and what not, before they go anywhere. Is there like a list?

Speaker 5:

Yeah, so we always have to get permission. A lot of the places that we go to for like, an investigation only or by ourselves, are places that we've done a public event and we just want to get a little further into it, because it's hard to do when you have a public event. You know people who aren't experienced investigators, you know they want to be entertained. You know they don't want to sit here for four hours. You know, doing an EVP session Right, it's not going to be exciting. So we have to kind of balance giving them a good investigation with giving them a good experience. Yes, but when it's just us, we're like we want to go back and kind of dig a little deeper into that.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, and we will sit for four hours and listen, yeah.

Speaker 6:

That's the difference we're not entertaining each other.

Speaker 3:

Right.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, but we are.

Speaker 4:

Well, I guess if you kind of have bucket lists, you know places that we you know, we say, oh, we got to go here, we got to go there. We recently all went to Gettysburg last summer and rented out the haunted orphanage just for ourselves and you know that was fun. Like we will do stuff like that. That's cool.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah. Now, when you do the ones with people will come and they pay to come with you guys and do the ghost hunt. Do you guys do it yourself first? Do you go in the building, do your own investigation first, before and then go back and do it again with all the people that come and participate with you guys.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, We'll usually go like a walk through a preliminary investigation, one to see how to break the groups up and where we can set up, and two to see where the hotspots are, where you know there's activity that we're getting just, you know, with some of our handheld equipment.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, very cool. So so, like um say, um, I'm a person and it is my first time coming, what would, what would I expect? Like, what? Like like, uh, walk me through, like how, how, how, um someone would, if they went to like um the columns museum or they, they would, they go um, would you take a walk through, would they have like special readers and stuff like that.

Speaker 4:

Um, usually we'll have, um, a speaker first that will give us like a history of the home or the area and it depends who the speaker is, where we go and um, and then we'll kind of go through everything with the guests. You know of a different equipment that we'll be using, how it works. We offer the guests a chance to use the equipment. You know. We break people into smaller groups so they're getting a better experience instead of like in a big group and, um, we kind of just go from there.

Speaker 3:

Cool yeah.

Speaker 5:

Public goods are very we try to make them very interactive. Yeah, that's cool, I love that, yeah, it's not just, you know, a group of people watching us investigate. We encourage the guests to like participate, ask questions, like if you have an idea of how to use a piece of equipment, try it, because you know we're learning from from these people as much as they're learning from.

Speaker 1:

Right. So, like um. So what kind of equipment do you guys use? Do you have like um, like audio equipment where you can listen to things like like where, where, like tunes in to hear any you know possible, like you know paranormal activity, like how does that work? Like, what are the? What do you use? Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5:

We have. We come in with a rolling case, is full of equipment.

Speaker 1:

Oh, wow, okay, All right.

Speaker 5:

Susan, what's, what's your?

Speaker 6:

favorite. We use all kinds of equipment but we use really simple things up to more complicated equipment and the simplest. My favorite thing is a little light up cap balls that are just touch sensitive. If something touches them they blink.

Speaker 2:

Oh wow, I've seen those.

Speaker 6:

And they're easy, they're not complicated and we tend to get a lot of response using them and their visual. So you can see them and it's quick. That's actually the simplest thing we use, I think.

Speaker 1:

All right yeah.

Speaker 6:

One of my favorites.

Speaker 1:

Very cool, very, very cool.

Speaker 5:

What's your favorite?

Speaker 4:

Mine is actually. I know a lot of people won't agree with me, but I love the phasma box. It's an app that we use on our computer and I just feel like every time we use it, at every investigation, we always get responses and it always charges the energy in the room Like it definitely gets things going. I think once the spirits think that we can hear what they're saying, they you know it like amps up the energy in the room.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's cool, that's cool, that's such cool stuff.

Speaker 3:

I was at one of the investigations in Mademoiselle with them and that was a lot of fun. They broke us up in groups and everything.

Speaker 2:

We did each floor.

Speaker 3:

everybody did the same floor, you know. They just broke it and then you kind of rotated. It was fun, I had a good time with that and it was really good. And I didn't know how it was going to feel because you know I watch it on. Tv and you see these things. Sometimes you're like that's not happening.

Speaker 1:

I'm not going in Right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's why I'm going in.

Speaker 3:

But when I was there I found myself really more intrigued, more like wanting to find something bigger, you know, hoping we could hear something, you know what's going to happen, kind of thing, and not being more scared, not to say that something could happen. I would have ran out of there anyway, but it was a lot of fun and I appreciate being there with you guys. That was really funny.

Speaker 4:

Oh, thank you. I don't want our guests ever to be feel scared either. So if somebody is feeling uncomfortable or a certain way, we'll take them outside, we'll talk to them. We'll, you know, explain what's going on. You know, I don't. We want to make sure that everybody's good with everything and we never address anything dark or negative. That's not what we're about.

Speaker 2:

Well, if you have somebody guest, if you have somebody with you that you know when you're doing you have people with you. If they're, they have a negative energy. Does that affect the? I guess the readings or stuff that you get yeah, anything that you would hear.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, and we think that like attracts, like. So if you go into a place and you're like, hey, demons, like come out and you're looking for, like the stuff it's going to find you.

Speaker 3:

Right, Well, you know it's funny. That's a good question, Because when I watch some of these shows, you haven't noticed how some of them want to. Just they try to piss off what's going on there Right. Why would you?

Speaker 2:

do that.

Speaker 3:

You know, like if they had to figure out and understand what's going on. Don't upset it. You have no idea what it is you're messing with in the first place.

Speaker 2:

Yeah Well, I mean well, how true is what Lewis is saying. Like you never know what's in there, and again watching on TV, do you know? Would you know before? I guess we'll say whatever response you may get from the spirits, you know, if it's a bad or a good spirit, like you know what I'm saying. Like, I guess for me, because, like I'm nervous, I'm scared to go to one of these things, you know, to go to a hunt. I'm like yo, I was going to come back, just going to follow me home, I don't know, it's like my cologne I'm taking me, you know, I'm like, that's always like been the fear you know. So that then, is that a true fear? I guess we'll say I mean saying not, not that people being scared is in a true feeling. I just meant, you know, is it a true thing that the spirits will follow you home, depending on where you are, like all that kind of stuff?

Speaker 5:

They can. But things like you know demons and like truly evil spirits are pretty rare. More often you know it's a deceased person and if you were an a hole in life, you're going to be an a hole in death.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So if you got like a grumpy grandfather, that yes, you're going to be. You know my long you're bastard, yeah Well you know.

Speaker 3:

let me ask you that question has there ever been an investigation where you guys were, you know, unsettled because of where it was and not by your doing, but just what, the what was going on, the you know?

Speaker 1:

like you just built a house, or location.

Speaker 5:

Susan, you want to yeah?

Speaker 6:

We had. We had this one investigation and we were kind of unnerved. It was kind of an an angry energy. We kind of figured out who was attached, you know, who was trying to communicate with, not attached, who was trying to communicate with and they had not had a good experience with each other in life. So this energy seemed to be trying to really scare this person. And when we were investigating we had a sulfur smell and we were like it really got our attention to the point. We were like what is going on? But then as we continued through the investigation, you knew it was something that was just trying to scare this person. It wasn't, you know, anything harmful. It was just like Nicole said, if you're in, if that's the way you are in life, that's the way he was coming across then as well.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 4:

But that got our attention and I would say that was the one time that all of us kind of were like oh wow, you know it was the only time we experienced that, because he was saying we got in over our heads a little bit too much, but thankfully it wasn't what we thought it was.

Speaker 2:

Now, was that a private home, or was that like one of the museums or something?

Speaker 5:

That was a private home and it kept saying, and it kept saying big. It said literally big, scary demons.

Speaker 3:

Oh, that's nice.

Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, and that's when we went well, we're like well, if you're saying you probably aren't it.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

You see, that's why I say I'm like, yeah, maybe it's time to go, like I'll just watch from outside. You know I'll monitor the. You know whatever sounds I hear coming in, I got this over here.

Speaker 5:

So I have a question I think, at the end of it the homeowner. He felt a lot more comfortable knowing exactly who it was he was dealing with, because he was at the point where he thought, like hell, howls were chasing him.

Speaker 2:

Wow.

Speaker 5:

And this spirit was really affecting him.

Speaker 1:

So here's a question I have. So I mean, are there different types of spirits? Are there? Are there ones like that are sentient, like that will try to communicate with you? Are there ones that are kind of like a movie on, like repeat? I hear there's that residual, like residual, so, or is there other types that maybe I'm aware of? I'm always curious about learning, because about this stuff you know.

Speaker 5:

So, to complicate things even further, you can have the spirit that is intelligent, and then you can also have residual energy from that same spirit in the play.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you got both.

Speaker 5:

You know, like on a tape record it's playing over and over and over again and it won't interact with you. But then, you know, in the next room you can have the spirit of, you know, John Smith or whoever talking to you and communicating, responding with the equipment.

Speaker 3:

Okay, gotcha.

Speaker 6:

So yes, because places can store the energy right. So if a physical building is what's keeping that repeat going, it's the energy from within the space that is creating that residual repeat. But the energy of the actual spirit in the next room could be communicating with you, because it's no longer the energy of the space, it's the energy of the spirit.

Speaker 3:

Gotcha.

Speaker 4:

Actually where we're going tomorrow. I just with one of the employees. They just told me that they constantly see this gentleman Walk from this point a to point b. It's always the same path and I was explaining to her that's probably residual because that was a path he took every day and he's just repeating.

Speaker 3:

Right, like on a loop right.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, a loop so now with the interest to see if we get any actual EVPs or other kind of activity from that same spirit.

Speaker 2:

So on that residual spirit, you wouldn't get any. There wouldn't be any intelligent conversation. Well, I don't think I'm just interaction, it would just be that.

Speaker 3:

Is it just be that continuum?

Speaker 2:

Yeah it wouldn't even be a spirit, right? It's just. The visit is just.

Speaker 5:

Okay, we were at the Edmondson's house in New Windsor and we put a rem pod at the top of the stairs and and it wasn't, you know, responding to any questions, but every once in a while it was going off right. We come to find out that that actually used to be a door, right where we had said it. That's not a door anymore, but the energy kept traveling that same path.

Speaker 3:

Regardless of what was in.

Speaker 5:

It's right, mm-hmm, cuz it doesn't know. It's not a door anymore. That's just the path that it always took.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's so cool. See, I love this stuff. Yeah, yeah, no, I did it Listen.

Speaker 2:

I watched all of them and I saw you guys at the Paranormal um Expo that you had the. You were with the ghost brothers with ghost hunters. I was like, there, that's awesome.

Speaker 1:

How was?

Speaker 2:

that. That's like the who's who Sorry, say again.

Speaker 5:

That's a pretty cool. I thought they have you know a lot of the celebrities come out and that's cool. And hanging out at the other side of fun.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that was way cool because this and I so like one of my favorites on on um ghost hunters is um guns Alvis. I think he's like, I just he's like so cool. And then a second he hears something he's like and he's like he's just like tunes in and he's looking into the darkness. I like he's the coolest I'd like to.

Speaker 3:

I watched that show for years, dog you know.

Speaker 2:

What's that, who's that? And then he'll do everything in his power, like he's like wait, do it again. And then it's just hilarious. I think he's the coolest one man.

Speaker 6:

He's a great finger up in the air right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

You guys can see my finger up to that. Oh, what's that? Yeah.

Speaker 4:

He's great he's actually a really nice guy like he will take time and sit and talk to you. He's super nice.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. They are nice. Yeah, and the ghost brothers. If nobody's watched that ghost brothers, they're hilarious.

Speaker 6:

Oh, they're hysterical.

Speaker 2:

Oh, my god yeah. And I think that's what probably makes it like in for you guys, these guys, you know All you ladies you sound, you know just fun loving, you know, so that then when you go anywhere it's probably even hard for the spirits to be mean right off the bat. You know what.

Speaker 3:

I mean these people too nice.

Speaker 2:

Yeah they're doing it here. What, yeah, that's we?

Speaker 6:

say that we say like a lot of times, because we're going in and Everyone is happy and laughing and having fun and we enjoy it, that we tend to get those kind of responses. We also find, like, because we're we think it's because we're all women and we're all moms we tend to get a lot of female energy and children, mm-hmm a lot of kids.

Speaker 4:

That's interesting. Yeah, that's interesting. People just feel comfortable with us because we are moms, whether they're women. I think it's just like motherly. I know they're like, they want to like I don't know. They're more willing to talk to us. We're not threatening.

Speaker 5:

I want to be described as motherly on a podcast.

Speaker 1:

So what is so, what is the most I Guess the word would be intense thing you saw are like the most, like highly unusual Thing that that you guys experienced in your, in your time of paranormal investigations.

Speaker 6:

Oh, maybe Lisa with the growl.

Speaker 4:

That was pretty intense I mean I, yeah, I had something growl in my ear at the Shanley Hotel. Wow, that was very unnerving for me, to the point where I decided not to sleep there that night.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 4:

I felt like I was being targeted. Wow and um, yeah, that is wild I was mostly unnerving, I would say. And then, um, just the wildest thing I've ever seen was I saw a woman walk through a theater. I just literally saw her for a brief second and she was gone.

Speaker 1:

I see a full operation, right. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5:

Well, that's intense, um, unusual. We've had had some interesting stuff, um, but one of the things that stands out to me is, um, I was with some people at the Hinsdale house and we had an SLS camera on, and have you ever seen an SLS camera? What that does.

Speaker 2:

Yep, I have.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, we're little stick figures.

Speaker 3:

Yep, yes, I love that thing.

Speaker 5:

This stick figure appears and we asked them to verify. You know, like, oh, can you like wave an arm, and and it waves its arm and then it starts making a obscene male gesture.

Speaker 2:

No way.

Speaker 3:

So we got a curve for a ghost.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, it did that for a few minutes and I'm like there's nothing else that could like make the SLS.

Speaker 1:

You know, do that, so you got you, got like you got like a, like a J in silent Bob, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5:

Like you're not mapping out a chair or a lamp or you know something, because nothing is making that gesture.

Speaker 1:

Right, that is funny, that is, that is great, and where was this house?

Speaker 3:

Was it a house, you said?

Speaker 5:

This was the Hinsdale house.

Speaker 3:

And where's that?

Speaker 5:

It's, it's. Where is it Over towards? Like Buffalo.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay, yeah, so we're upstate, yeah, yeah, upstate Okay.

Speaker 3:

So you guys travel pretty, you guys are willing to travel to these locations and do these investigations. It sounds like.

Speaker 4:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 3:

That's awesome.

Speaker 1:

So have you ever? I'm sorry.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so let them finish.

Speaker 1:

Okay, all right.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, all right, so go ahead. Yeah, so you guys enjoy that. Then I'm assuming, is it okay, all of you make it, some can't. You know how does that work for you guys?

Speaker 4:

I think it's just whoever can make it. Sometimes we're invited somewhere, so maybe one or two of us go, but you know, like Betteysburg, we made a conscious effort to do it together and we're talking about doing that again because, you know, but some of like our other team member, lisa. She does a lot of things on her own with her family because her whole family's into it, and Susan and I have traveled separately together. It depends. Okay, if we can all go, we all go.

Speaker 5:

If not, then you know, yeah, we all have, you know, lives and work and commitments, but that's why it's nice that we have four of us.

Speaker 3:

So, you know, usually a majority of us can go to something and that's gotta be interesting, and you guys from the night there too, which is which is really brave enough, and not that I mean yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, not me.

Speaker 4:

We're actually. We're actually waiting for tomorrow, because tomorrow we're all staying over like it's been fun. That is right.

Speaker 3:

You are, and that's great, and I'm looking forward to seeing what what you guys have after that. I'm sure you're going to put it on social media and all that, and I'm I just can't wait to see that that's going to be pretty cool.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, tom had a question. What do you got Talking about this?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5:

It just the energy just hits you when you walk in.

Speaker 3:

Really. So what, what, what's? What is it about that house? I'm sorry, Tom, I'm good.

Speaker 2:

What is it?

Speaker 3:

about that house, the history of that house that is making you guys go there to do this, in particular investigation.

Speaker 6:

Just a beautiful home. It's a beautiful old home, one of the older homes in the village of Montgomery, and the family was very affluent and had a lot of money and a lot of power and it shows in the home and now it's a bed and breakfast. So and there's been reports of things there for as long as I can remember it's had different owners, but it's always been something that in the community people are like oh, that place has activity, that place is wanted.

Speaker 4:

So the original house was built in 1789. Actually, wow, yeah, it's an old home.

Speaker 6:

All restored. It's absolutely beautiful.

Speaker 5:

And it has connections to one of our favorite places to investigate. The families were closely linked to the patch at house in Montgomery and we've got some like off the charts activity there. We've been back four times. We go back a lot.

Speaker 3:

That's great.

Speaker 6:

So we're hoping there's like a transfer of almost like a familiarity with us. I'm looking forward to that to see if they're aware of who we are before we get there because of the connection we've had at the other house down the street.

Speaker 3:

Oh, that's that. That would be interesting for sure. Yeah, no doubt.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, just leave the car running, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So you know, there's some things that I'm sure when it comes to this, there's some things that people maybe like a factor, fiction kind of deal, like what, what is like fact and what is fiction? Like you guys see, like a book stack that's six feet high, like in Ghostbusters, or or like you get like I hear stories of people and you know I've heard like of like furniture being rearranged. To come to a room and the furniture is different to stuff like that happened.

Speaker 2:

Is that really?

Speaker 1:

or is that like kind of like an exaggeration? Yeah, like kind of like, you know, just Hollywood type kind of stuff.

Speaker 5:

No, stuff like that happens. I don't know about, like you know, furniture being on the ceiling, like because I've never had to say it doesn't happen to someone, but we've had doors slammed, doors open. Things move on their own.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, wow. I think when you experience it, then you go, then you know it's real, yeah, and then they doubt it. I think they doubt it until they see it for themselves and then like, holy, that is real.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah Of course.

Speaker 5:

And we have been a believer of a full shadow apparition, like blocking out a doorway.

Speaker 1:

That's scary, do you think? Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5:

Oh solid that we thought it was a real person and stopped filming to go open the door.

Speaker 2:

Whoa.

Speaker 4:

That's scary, that was weird, that was weird.

Speaker 3:

We're so mad.

Speaker 4:

We stopped filming. Never again, yeah, yeah so now we know right.

Speaker 3:

It's a learning experience right.

Speaker 3:

You figure it out as you go, and I'm sure you guys are doing this for a while now, Is it your? Are you guys looking to get where these other groups are on TV and everything being on the Travel Channel and SyFy Channel, and you know you're doing the investigation? Is that something you guys are aspiring to do, Hoping that might happen? Or you just like we are with the podcast? We're kind of like, hey, listen, if it happens, good for us, but I still enjoy doing it and I'm glad we're doing it when we do it regardless.

Speaker 5:

That exactly, I think. If you go to this with the goal of getting on TV, you're doing it for the wrong reason.

Speaker 1:

Right, yeah, I agree.

Speaker 5:

Because everything you do is going to try to be like entertaining and, you know, to further yourself. And we, just we, like the connections we make with the people we work, with the spirits we work with, with each other.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, we have fun when we go out. Even when we're, we have fun, we enjoy ourselves, we love what we love doing it, and I think it comes across when you come to one of our events, because as much as the people are enjoying it, so are we.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, absolutely, and I agree with that because I was there with one of them and they totally do. Yeah, they have a great time doing it and that's the best way to do it. I mean, otherwise, if you're doing it and you don't enjoy it, it's pointless, right? Yeah, it's just not going to work.

Speaker 6:

It comes across. It comes across, it's at home.

Speaker 3:

Exactly I remember the spirit too, yeah, right.

Speaker 5:

You're going to a place just like bless you. You're just barraging them with questions. They're not going to want to talk to you. Would you want to talk to somebody who's coming into your house like that?

Speaker 1:

Not really. Who are you? What are you doing? Get the hell out. Yeah, what's your name? Yeah, I don't want to talk to this guy.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, you're having time and laughing and joking, like that's something that you know people and you know spirits want to be a part of. They want to. They want to laugh too.

Speaker 1:

Right, okay, that's a good way of looking at it. I didn't think about it that way. Just because they were in a different realm or dimension, you know.

Speaker 3:

whatever's going on there, I'm sure they want to be comfortable as well. Yeah, you know.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, we had one event we did at the Light Club Curiosity Shop and we were going back and forth with the spirits telling dad jokes and you know they'd light up the equipment if they liked it.

Speaker 2:

Did they know Kenny? Yeah, right, they had to know me. Yeah, I'm the dad joke guy, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Well, now that you told me that, like some of them are like per, like you got pervert spirits now I just think anything's possible.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, they said right. They said if you're an ass in life, or you're pervert.

Speaker 1:

That's what you're going to be an excellent. Yeah, you don't change who you are when you become a spirit.

Speaker 2:

It's true, it's crazy. That is the funniest. Now, you said that you were just saying about the. You saw the one lady walking in the theater with the naked eye. Do you see more when you record or do you see more when? Well, in your guys investigations, do you see more when you record or do you see more stuff with the naked eye?

Speaker 4:

I would. For me, it's probably the naked eye, because I think I'm seeing them like in my mind's eye.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 4:

You know, and I'm just catching a glimpse of them out of the corner of my eye, I see.

Speaker 6:

Lisa can connect through, like she does, mediumship.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay.

Speaker 6:

So when you can do that, I think sometimes you're just more open to seeing it with your naked eye.

Speaker 2:

Roger that.

Speaker 6:

Because you're in tune to it and you're willing to see it.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 5:

Right, yeah, Lisa and Susan are both, you know, safe and medium. Lisa is definitely coming into her skills in practicing some spirit art, which was spot on at the Ritz Theater. Susan does mediumships. She's taken classes. I like to focus on the equipment, but I have seen things usually very, very late when I'm tired. Coming home from an event at 5am I saw a hat man shadow thing. I'm just like I'm too tired for this.

Speaker 2:

See, you're never too tired, never too tired.

Speaker 3:

She was off the clock by then. Yeah, right, she was off the clock. Yeah, okay, you know, and it's hard when you're seeing something.

Speaker 4:

it's quick, so like it's not, like you have time to like, get your phone out and take a picture. It's just fleeting and it's like did I just see that, or am I? You know what I mean. Right it helps if somebody else saw it or if a piece of equipment went off or somebody said, oh my gosh, I just got a cold breeze that rushed by me two seconds ago, like that kind of verifies it, you know, like more than one person experiencing it.

Speaker 4:

Okay, Now when you say what I think I saw, you know okay, I got it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that makes sense. So now, when you guys see something on the SLS, do you see a mist, a shadow, a light or anything where, where you see it on the SLS?

Speaker 5:

Usually not Okay. I haven't seen that be the case. So obviously it's just the SLS, but we do try to confirm.

Speaker 5:

You know, like I said, with asking it to move like a certain body part or like what's this way to get some confirmation, and then we'll also set up other equipment and see if it can interact, you know, with that and give us, you know, layers to the activity, rather than just, oh, this one thing happened, it's gonna be like, well, this came on the SLS, and then the cat ball went off and then, you know, susan sends a male presence.

Speaker 2:

That is crazy. Yeah, that's wild, because I I mean, like you said, I see this stuff on TV, you know, and for me the funniest is is Ghost Adventures with the dude Zach, because he gets so crazy. I'm like, bro, calm down, like guys, I'm feeling, I'm like, oh, take a pill, bro.

Speaker 2:

It's like you know, yeah, I'm like, come on, man, every time yeah, you know, but like, but he had one that was, you know, like he had one that was really to me, that freaked the hell out of me, and they were on this place called Doll Island.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I saw that one yeah that was creepy.

Speaker 2:

And because it was so creepy, I think that was the one time, you know, other than like the earlier shows that they were doing that he was actually scared, you know, and and I they had a lot of activity there Like they were hearing the sound, they were getting a lot of recordings, a lot of shadow figures walking by and stuff, you know. So that I mean I think that's why I'm so interested, could I see it? I know, when I was a kid, you know, everybody always said they see things and they hear whatever. You know, I believe my work, my building is haunted because I see people that have passed the way that work for us, and I swear man, I see them walking. Or I smell the cigarette or the cologne, right, Smell is a huge thing.

Speaker 3:

Is that another thing? That's a good question. Smell has got to be a big thing that you guys get when you're doing these investigations.

Speaker 1:

They said they smelled sulfur.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, a lot of people do associate paranormal activity. I mean, like all of a sudden you'll just smell cigars, or rose water At the Goshen, have you ever?

Speaker 3:

smelled ganja. Did that ever happen at all? Well, that happened when you were walking in from outside. Yeah, yeah, somebody was participating with the group.

Speaker 6:

That's it that would be somebody else.

Speaker 5:

Smell that moved around the room. Yeah, we were all sitting in the basement and it started by the door and then it moved over. It moved kind of around the circle and everybody was smelling it at different times. They're like oh, it's gone now. Oh, that's because it's over here.

Speaker 2:

Whoa.

Speaker 4:

Oh yeah, that's true, it's a musical in Goshen, yeah.

Speaker 6:

Wow, and it was like a perfume smell, wasn't it?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, we were in a basement.

Speaker 1:

Perfume, I mean, I've had phantom smells in places before where I don't know where the smell came from. It's just so random I've had it a few times.

Speaker 3:

Everything's like they say, perfume or coffee. If I had it with coffee and it would be there wouldn't be no way that you could. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3:

That's what makes it like wait a minute, how am I smelling coffee right now? Right, not even anywhere near anything that would do that. You know, I got a silly question and this might be weird, because for an investigation, usually you're looking for a human response or someone who's passed, obviously. But what about animals? Something like that. Does that have ever freaky? Something like that with an animal, or a dog or a cat or something like that?

Speaker 5:

Yeah, if we get animals a lot. There's a ghost cat at the Shanley that some people see. Personally, I was doing an Estes method in the bedroom of a private home and I swear to God, it looked to me like a cat, like a black cat came out from under the bed, hmm, and he didn't have a cat. But we find out after because I left the room and I'm like, hey, this was a little freaky. He's like well, that's where my dog who passed Used to. She used to hide under the bed and then we got an EVP of the dog barking. She has a specific little woof.

Speaker 6:

What.

Speaker 3:

That's awesome.

Speaker 6:

He was like oh my God, that's my dog. Yep, like it blew his mind. He was like there was no denying. He's like, that is my dog.

Speaker 2:

Holy shitscubub.

Speaker 6:

And we were in one room and Nicole was in another, so she had no idea what was going on on the outside, the other side of the wall. When she came out, she's like I don't know, we saw this thing. We're all like oh.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 6:

She's like that's my dog. She's like oh my God.

Speaker 3:

That's great, that's awesome. You know that actually.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I think we've been to another place. She were, I think I saw a cat or something and people there were like, oh yeah, people see the cat all the time. It's a ghost cat. And I'm like, oh okay, yeah, but that's wild.

Speaker 2:

I've seen that I would have. I never would have thought about pets. Come on, go hard on her. They're going to communicate.

Speaker 3:

It happened with me when my dog Bella passed away and one of the bedrooms upstairs. Whenever she came in, when she would walk in the room, she opened the door and the door always creaked. So it was like the next day I was in that room doing something and the door opened.

Speaker 2:

It was a secret.

Speaker 3:

again there was nothing behind it and I'm like, of course I started crying. Yeah, you did, you know like a baby, but it was awesome because I was like, oh okay, good, that just makes me feel better, knowing that she's letting me know, she's all right, right, right Everything is good, you know yeah.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, they're still around, absolutely.

Speaker 5:

Yeah and that because you'll get that like maybe animals can sense when you're feeling down or upset or not feeling well, and so I think a lot of times if you're going to get activity, it'll be them just kind of comforting you, being like hey, I know that you're still not feeling 100%, I'm here for you.

Speaker 1:

Right, yeah, that's who it's going to be. You know what Today, I heard my dog bark. Really, my dog's been deceased for a year and a half and serious, I heard my dog bark.

Speaker 3:

That's awesome man yeah, I see, that's cool.

Speaker 6:

When you experience it, you can't deny it, right.

Speaker 2:

No, you can't yeah exactly.

Speaker 6:

You can't deny it Unless you gaslight yourself, Like I'm just crazy.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but that's another story, bro. That's something else.

Speaker 3:

You know, but like no, you can't deny it. Of course there's nobody else around to see what I just saw. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Well, see, I never deny it, I didn't get it.

Speaker 2:

Like I don't deny it. I just feel for me personally, because of my background, my upbringing, that if I go anywhere, that then it just feels that it needs to come home with me.

Speaker 6:

You know what I'm saying. So I found it. There's this side, there's this side of it, right? So do you not think that your loved one's energy are with you all the time?

Speaker 2:

anyway, no, no, I'm cool with my loved ones. You're alone all the time. No, no, no. My loved ones is the ones that I don't know. That I'm like yo listen, bro, you need to stay over there, you know? Don't come home with me.

Speaker 3:

You know there's not enough room in the house.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's what it is because, like I still, so on my birthday.

Speaker 2:

So my grandmother used to always call me on my birthday and you know, sing happy birthday to me in broken English, spanish stuff and I still hear it Like I'll be asleep and you know, on my birthday and I'll hear her singing happy birthday to me. So, like I said, I'm cool with that. It's the dude that you just saw you sitting in front of the, in front of the door, that you go to open the door and there's nobody there but that black figure. I'm like no.

Speaker 5:

You have to tell him to stay there. You put your mouth to his ear. You know you do your protections, whatever you believe in, whether it's, you know, prayer or rosaries, got you.

Speaker 2:

OK.

Speaker 3:

Right.

Speaker 5:

Age.

Speaker 3:

Post out the Jewish star. You know what I mean?

Speaker 6:

Yeah, well, like I said, I firmly say you're not coming with me, you have to stay here. I'm going home alone.

Speaker 3:

Right.

Speaker 6:

You're not invited. You're not invited. Yeah, and they're going to feed off that fear, right?

Speaker 3:

I mean, I would assume that if you don't take a stand and you know, push back a little bit, in that sense they're going to. If they feel that fear that probably that's what they're attracted to.

Speaker 5:

Yep Right, yeah, they. They can no consent to weakness. So to say Like so, if you're not feeling well, if you're running down, if you're really scared.

Speaker 3:

Right.

Speaker 5:

You have to have a good idea to go investigating, because that leaves you open to you know more negative or kind of mean spirit to mess with you, Right?

Speaker 6:

Like a lower level of the energy. Yeah, ok.

Speaker 3:

I get it, I get it Right. So I got a quick one more question. Can I hold this for you? Yeah, I'm assuming you guys always try to debunk first before you like jump on to the. You know, oh, that just happened. Wait a minute, we've got to make sure that this is, you know, actually happening and all that stuff. Right For your own, obviously, because you know there's a part of you that obviously wants it to be real. But you got to say, wait a minute, we got to count this out, we got to count that out.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, always, you know, I always say you like, you'll see us like jumping up and down, like knocking on walls, like we look like idiots because we're trying to like recreate a sound Right.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that makes sense, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Listen, I don't think you look like idiots, because I want to make sure that that's what it is too. You know, I would want to make sure that it's not that one of us bumped into something Right. Like you know, we just walked on this, you know, floorboard here in a creek, you know? Oh yeah, I want to know. You know, and I wish that it was easier to get full conversations or just better conversations. You know from the spirits that then you could have, like know who they are. You know not so much as like one word, or you know two or three words, like you know what I'm saying, like just my name is blah, blah, blah. I'm like what you know. That would be nice.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, yeah.

Speaker 5:

You know our friends Ron and Lordess, they do static on which is kind of along the same lines like a spirit box where it sweeps through frequencies, but theirs is just static and they've had like very, very long phrases and whole conversations come out of that because it's not getting cut off by the radio sweeps. So people pick up with new things every day. That's, you know, furthering the field.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's awesome, and I've seen that one used on one of the shows too, so that is pretty good yeah.

Speaker 3:

I like that.

Speaker 2:

And you know real quick.

Speaker 3:

Before me, lisa actually did a reading for my wife, right, I went to, I actually bought that for my wife. I, you know, I went through Gen, who we know, right, right, oh okay.

Speaker 3:

So and her brother came through, right, I mean, he told me that, right, and that was huge and she was like so happy when that happened, right, it was just, you know, like, and I didn't think anything would happen, honestly, but it was great and it was at a Jen's old place, lisa, was she when you? She was still working over there with the therapy bar on 211.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, she was in the bar.

Speaker 3:

Yes, yeah, yeah, so that was cool, so that was really interesting and that was, I'd say, I love stuff like that. I really do believe there's something after this. You know what I don't know, right.

Speaker 2:

I'm hoping I'm going to the right place. Oh, listen, bro, we'll find out. Yeah, yeah, you're that guy, bro. You're the guy who left my lawn kid. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

You're sitting on somebody on your porch.

Speaker 2:

Get out of here, Listen you guys were awesome, yes, so now tell us everything that you have coming up, tell us about your events and whatnot.

Speaker 5:

This weekend we'll be at the Borland House in Montgomery for haunted sleepover. In February we have a Valentine's event at Miss Fanny's Victorian Party House in Wappenjure. March 23rd we have a haunted doll experience at the Shanley Hotel, where we're bringing a bunch of haunted dolls.

Speaker 1:

That's cool. Wow, that would be cool. Yeah, that's going to be a good one, and you can spend the night with the haunted dolls, I might stay across the street.

Speaker 3:

And have the tickets gone on sale for that yet? No, oh, yes, yes, do you have?

Speaker 5:

some room left and investigation only tickets as well.

Speaker 3:

I'm going to have to think about that. Yeah, this guy, yeah, that'd be cool.

Speaker 5:

That's one yes.

Speaker 2:

Say it again it does what.

Speaker 5:

April 20th, just finalized. Today we will be back at the columns museum with a special Celebrity guest. Brian can know he was on, was it collector? He's on paranormal caught on camera.

Speaker 2:

Yes, that's great. Yes, I know him. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's awesome man, that is awesome.

Speaker 4:

He'll investigate with us and do a short lecture meeting. Great, um, he's very hands-on, he's he very knowledgeable with equipment and things like that, so he's happy to work with people and teach you know so and we're thinking a small group.

Speaker 6:

We're thinking a small amount of people right, so yeah yeah, to work with him. It won't be like a huge crowd that you can't, you know, interact right, yeah, that makes sense 20 people.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, we're not gonna let let a lot come in right, that is awesome.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that is awesome. So thank you, ladies, for being here again with us. I appreciate it. You, we're gonna have to have you guys on again, cuz I you know, now this is like a million more questions.

Speaker 6:

You're gonna have to come Well.

Speaker 2:

I'll sit outside and wait. I'm on it. I'm gonna check the horse.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, we'll check it out. We're definitely gonna do it yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm gonna get in my car and the dog's gonna be in the backseat.

Speaker 1:

That's gonna be like my name's Charles.

Speaker 3:

Oh my god.

Speaker 2:

No, I think the Twilight Zone doll. Yeah, I'll be out of the car running past my car like Awesome. But again, thank you, ladies.

Speaker 3:

Thank you so much. Yeah, I appreciate you guys coming on with us. I know you're so.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 3:

It'll be available so you can listen to it then. So yes. Well, this is a good one yeah that was always are you know?

Speaker 1:

I yeah.

Speaker 3:

And I knew it would be with them because, you know, like they did, they all laid back.

Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 3:

They're just a good group and yeah, they're cool and I'm glad we got them on and we got to do this. I'm happy for them because they're really doing a lot of you know it's that. You know they get bigger and bigger and it's you know.

Speaker 2:

I said people go and have good experiences, is it's all?

Speaker 1:

good.

Speaker 2:

That's why you gotta watch. That thing is so, it's, it's, it's, it's the dot stick figures on and on the screen. Yeah and then you ever seen it, tom have you ever seen it? Yeah, cuz.

Speaker 3:

Like I said then I don't think he watches as much as he's gonna know, yeah, see that show ghosts, that you go, yeah, but yeah.

Speaker 2:
