Grand Salami Time
Grand Salami Time is a fresh, fan-driven baseball analytics blog and media platform that brings sharp insights, unique storytelling, and a distinctly Seattle voice to the world of MLB coverage. Originally launched as Late Night in Seattle by Robby Gross and Adam Jacobson, the project began as a local sports podcast and blog focused on the Mariners and Seattle sports culture.
Now rebranded as Grand Salami Time, the platform has expanded its reach to feature league-wide baseball analysis—combining data-driven commentary with personality, humor, and a healthy dose of Pacific Northwest flair. Whether it’s spotlighting underrated stars like Randy Arozarena, breaking down Statcast trends, or playfully calling out fan takes, Grand Salami Time is where baseball gets smart and fun at the same time.

Current Events:
Browning might lead the Bengals to the playoffs? Not the first time he's lead a team to the playoffs. To recap, since taking over for the injured Joe Burrow, in 6 games Browning has 1,712 yds (285/game); 8tds/6ints (1.5:1 ratio, not phenomenal but not back breaking); 3 rushing TDs and a 70% completion pct.
What's Kraken? Kraken beat the reigning Stanley Cup champions at the Winter Classic. Big shoutout to my brother John for getting my mom and me tickets. Kraken had 3 goals but the real star of the show was Joey Daccord. He made several incredible saves and was solid all game long. Fans routinely chanted "JO-EY JO-EY JO-EY". He posted 35 saves and the Kraken are now 7-0-2 in their past 9 games. What a time to be alive!
Seahawks lost another winnable game, this time against the Steelers. They need Green Bay to lose hosting Chicago (who just secured the 1st overall draft pick next year) and Tampa Bay to lose at Carolina (who just secured Chicago the 1st overal draft pick because they traded that pick to CHI for DJ Moore). ESPN gives this scenario a 27% chance of happening.
