Culture is obsessed with end-times fiction — zombies, collapse, survival bunkers — because people sense something is wrong. Paul says it plainly: apart from Christ we are spiritually dead, animated by sin and steered by a hostile power. But the gospel crashes in like resurrection light: “But God…” — He makes the dead alive, seats us with Christ, and gifts us for a mission. This sermon unmasks the real apocalypse (sin), exposes the fake cure of comfort and conformity, and points you to the only real rescue: grace that wakes you, gifts you, and sends you. You were not made to be a passive corpse; you were made to be usable in God’s story.
