From the Ballroom to the Clinic: The Journey of Danny Shapiro
Sep 22, 2022

On this episode of Badass Clinicians, Natty sat down with Dr. Danny Shapiro. Dr. Danny is the founder of Project Physical Therapy located in Brooklyn, New York. While on the podcast, Natty and Danny discuss what it means to be successful clinicians. They recognize how important it is to be conscious of how you are treating fellow clinicians, your employees, and the students they work with that come to learn with them. Dr. Danny also has his own manual therapy technique called Myo (muscle) Melt, which he combines with movement to find success for his patients. Danny was also a ballroom dancer for years before becoming a physical therapist. Seeing dancers become injured is actually what inspired him to become a physical therapist, as he felt dancers did not have resources available to them to explain and help with their injuries.
