Making Visible: Preventing and responding to violence, abuse and neglect
Supporting social workers, psychologists and other healthcare professionals to prevent and respond to family and domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and neglect. You will hear directly from professionals working in the sector, talking about: cases and experiences in the field, ways to support clients and how to manage on a personal level. In this series all the consumer stories have been deidentified, fictionalised and are amalgams from several consumers, not direct experiences. This podcast includes material that some listeners may find distressing. There are descriptions of violence, abuse, and neglect within each episode. These are preceded by a content warning, so listeners can skip those sections. We encourage all listeners to practice self-care while listening to the podcast and to get support if you need it. •1800RESPECT 1800 737 732 •Full Stop Australia 1800 385 578 •Lifeline 131114 •NSW Health mental health line 1800 011 511.
