The Seacoast Podcast: Things You Won't Hear On Sunday

44 - Two Therapists on the Current State of Mental Health in Our Country [Mental Health Awareness Month Wrap Up]

Seacoast Church

Is suicide a selfish act?  Are people too busy?  Is mental wellness plummeting or is society's awareness of mental health issues soaring?  What should one consider before committing to a marriage with one who suffers from mental illness?  Why is it  always important to remember that everyone has a unique background and story?

Lyn Harrison and Chip Judd, both licensed therapists with 30+ and 40+ counseling experience respectively, tie up some loose ends by answering some questions that were brought to the surface on the first four episodes of our Mental Health Awareness Month series.

At the top of the episode, Lynne Stroy, Roy Jacques and Joey Svendsen reminisce on the days of buying a meal for under two dollars and talk to their 21-year old co-worker, Gabe Dewalk, about the transparency he's exemplified with his fiance' (now wife), concerning his struggles with anxiety.
