Grief (Part 2): True Stories of Heartache w/ Keenan Shriver and Pastor Lisa Surratt
For "Grief Part 3," host Joey Svendsen sits with our founding Pastor Greg Surratt to hear about his current season of grief, having unexpectedly lost his little brother, Chris, earlier this year. Pastor Greg discusses how his faith has been affected by this storm, but that he still has peace in the midst of his grief. The two talk about “redemptive grieving,” and why Pastor Greg is comfortable with saying that he is currently “not okay.”
At the top of the episode Ciarrah Lindsay, Abbie Love, and Joey reflect on the founding pastor's authenticity and assess the notion common in churches—young people can only relate to young leaders.
