Speaker 4

And right now I'm in the Milk and Honey series. As you know, milk and Honey there's nothing derogative about it, it's actually what God told Moses to tell them. And, concerning the land of Canaan, where it was going, it's a land full of what? Milk and honey. Amen, milk and honey, and preparation for you and I to be able to understand how to move forward in the things of God and to get past those hurdles.

Speaker 4

We're dealing with the time of the Olympics now. You know USA is winning almost everything around here. You know getting golds and bronze, and amen. And you know, and which is a blessing, which is a blessing? But, as you know, it takes a teamwork and, of course, you can win a medal by yourself, but it took a whole lot of people to get you there. Amen.

Speaker 4

It took a whole lot of people to help develop you to be where you are even today, from as mamas and grandmamas, to supervisors, managers, to your partner, to your friends, to the negative people, to the people who walked out of your life, lied on you. All that really helped you to build you to being who God wants you to be. If you didn't have the negatives in your life, you wouldn't appreciate the positives. If you didn't have the rainy days, come on, baby, you wouldn't appreciate the positives. If you didn't have the rainy days, come on, baby, you wouldn't appreciate the flowers that grew up the following day. So you got to have some times of struggle, some times of pain, so you can be able to see the move of God, bring you out of those things, heal your body and do all the things that God is able to do. If you don't put trust in man, if you don't put trust in man, that you don't put trust in the flesh, you don't put trust in a carnal lifestyle, but you're able to give God all the proper glory that he deserves, amen.

Speaker 4

So everything is like a whole mixture. It's like a salad. You got all that good stuff in there tomatoes and eggs and come on in spinach and mixed. You know you got all that mixed up there together. Then people do variety or do various variables. We put on whatever sauce we want to put on there. You know some people like blue cheese, some people can't stand blue cheese, some people like ranch. You know it's. You know it's a mixture of stuff. To bring an eloquent taste through all the stirring, it's got to be stirred up. What's a similar word to that? It's like the potter and the clay Potter knows what he you trying to pull and push and tear, tear some stuff away to get you to be that, that, that beautiful face, uh, in in the long term.

Speaker 4

So so I think a lot of us are there right now. A lot, I think a lot of us are uh questioning, or maybe second guessing, uh, what it is, uh, that God is doing in our life, you know. And then when you're comfortable let me say this real quickly when you're comfortable and being stationary is sometimes when you miss a lot of the invitational things that God want to do in your life. I'm learning now you got to move on God, no matter who is with you or who's backing you or who's hand clapping, who's going to hand clap or don't hand clap. You got to move when God's telling you to move, and I'm not talking about jumping from church to church. No, I'm talking about in your heart. You know your passion and things you're passionate about concerning the things of the kingdom. But then in that neighbor, you got to make sure that you're mature. You got to make sure that you're mature. You got to make sure that you're truly born again. You got to make sure you're full of the Holy Ghost, because a lot of people want to run but they don't get a message.

Speaker 4

It's a lot of people want to do a lot of things but they're not delivered. Come on, hear me now I'm going to say that again. We won't want to get so involved with doing stuff that we haven't conquered those demons and those vices. That's constantly going to hinder us in the long term. Why is that so important, pastor?

Speaker 4

Because when you're pouring into people, when you're ministering to people and you're really trying to bring people out of that jail or out of that place of bondage, you've got to make sure that there's no bondage in you. Come on, man. You got to make sure there's no vice in you. And we could be and we and sometimes people can be manipulative. We could be so used to in bondage that we but we manipulate ourselves to believe that we can truly bring somebody else out without it affecting us. But we're affecting them and we got to be careful about that. The goal, neighbor, is that we're working together for the things of the kingdom, iron sharp as iron right, but we've got to be able to listen to the lessons it's given us from people that are iron. You know we've got to stop really getting information from plastic people Come on neighbor from synthetic people.

Speaker 4

It's got to be people who are truly iron builders. You know that it will last, that the word will last in our life. So let me take you there. Go with me to the book of Joshua, chapter three, if you will. Joshua chapter three, and we'll spend some time here.

Speaker 4

In Joshua, chapter three, look what it says in verse number nine. Verse number nine. The Bible said it this way "'And Joshua said unto the children of Israel "'Come hither and hear the words of the Lord, your God' "'And Joshua said "'Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you "'and that he will, without fault, drive out from before you the Canaanites and the Hittites it's recorded and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Gergesites and the Amorites and the Jebusites. Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passes over before you, into Jordan, you into Jordan. Now, therefore, take your twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, out of every tribe of man, and it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of your feet, of the priests that bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above and they shall stand among a heap.

Speaker 4

And it came to pass when the people were moved from their tents to pass over Jordan and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people and as they that bear the ark were, come unto Jordan and the feet of the priests that bear the ark were dipped in the brim of the water. For Jordan overflowed all his banks all the time of harvest that the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon and heaped very far from the city Adam that is beside Zareton, and those that came down toward the sea of the plain. Even the salt sea fell and were cut off and the people passed over right against Jericho and the priest. That better ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground until all the people were passed clean over Jordan. May the church say amen.

Speaker 1

Amen.

Speaker 4

Amen. The interesting thing, I think or we would say the backdrop theme for this would be sometimes you will never see a miracle until you move. Amen.

Speaker 4

Sometimes you will never see a miracle until you move Amen. You'll never experience the miracle of God until you take a step of faith in God. You'll never see the miracle until you move. The thing that God was constantly trying to get the children of Israel to understand is that their potential lies totally in God's power. The things that God wanted to present to them or give to them, that was freely created or freely developed and he wanted to give those things to them, was going to be by sure faith, and the thing that God definitely didn't want to do is do all of the moving of the people and pushing the people out of the way. God wanted to leave some folk in the land and let them know that he was God. He wanted to show them that I was going to do the fighting for you. All you had to do was show up. All you had to do was show up. All you had to do was show up.

Speaker 4

I'm amazed at how so little of faith when I'm talking to people of faith, how that it becomes a struggle to believe God, to do things that God already said that we can do, to do things that God already said that we can do. It's amazing to try to convince a people of faith and I'm just saying in my everyday life. It's amazing to try to convince a people of faith in the word that they say they read and the word that they say they believe. Yet they're constantly doubting what you're saying out of your mouth and doubting the God they say they serve. It's amazing to me and for miracles to happen, to think about miracles. A lot of times miracles are given because of a lack of faith. In many cases, when we look at miracles, there's two sides of that coin. When we look at miracles, there's two sides of that coin. Sometimes miracles come or they are an extension of an example of faith that will bring about a confirmation to help you, just a push of faith to let you know he's there with you, because we've been probably praying or we've been trying to trust God for something, and God knows that if he don't do something for that individual, they're going to lose it, they're going to give up, they're going to quit, they're going to be miserable. So, therefore, God will move heaven and earth. Come on, neighbor. He will allow certain things to happen out of its timing, to be a blessing, or rather to push people further than where their faith truly is to help them know that God is real. Amen, and that's one of the things that God was trying to do with Israel, and many of you listening tonight you may be in that place.

Speaker 4

I always call it the valley of decision. Or we say the valley of battle and you want God to do some things for you. Or, in so many cases, people say I want to have better faith, I want to be more, I want to go after God better, I want my prayer life to be better, I want to have a stronger relationship with God. All those are really adequate sayings when it comes to for a believer to really want to move further in the things of God. The only problem with that is that a lot of times people are waiting on God, but God is actually waiting on us. Amen, Every place in the Bible.

Speaker 4

When you look at the extension of faith, matter of fact, there's a place in Scripture it's not in my notes when one man his son, was demon possessed. He was being torn and tossed and thrown in the fire. The devil was trying to drown the boy. He's doing all that to him and the father was saying I brought my son to your disciples and they couldn't cast the devil out. And then Jesus basically told him you know you're wicked and perverse or you're faithless generation. You know, faithless generation, bring the boy to me. You know, and the thing about it that the father said, Lord, if you can do anything, heal my son. And Jesus turned around and told the man you know, it's not that if I can do anything, but if you can believe. You know, if you can believe.

Speaker 4

So, a lot of the demonic depression, a lot of the demonic activity, a lot of the demonic strongholds, a lot of the things that hinder us in our life, it's not necessarily, it's not that God don't want to heal. It's a lot of times that we don't want to let go, we don't want to surrender, we don't want to forgive, we don't want to give God the right or the availability to come in and do what God wants to do. And therefore we're, we're left standing wrestling with these demons and fighting with people and and going back and forth with this, these headaches, when it's a lot of the stuff that we may have got us up into is because our own decision making. It's our own decisions. But but then here's the thing when, when, when we go through that we, we blame people when we blame God.

Speaker 4

And all the time God said I never told you to do that, I never told you to come on y'all, Y'all figure out where I'm going. Y'all go with me tonight. I didn't tell you to go and hook up with you know, I didn't tell you to go and buy that. I didn't tell you to lend them that money.

Speaker 3
