The Conversing Nurse podcast
Making Money Moves with Farah Laurent
This week, I had the pleasure of catching up with a returning guest, the OG Nursepreneur, Farah Laurent. Since our last conversation over two years ago, she has been achieving remarkable success. Not only does Farah hold six board certifications, but she has also earned a doctorate in nursing.
One exciting development is that Farah hosted her first nursing conference titled “Nurses Making Money Moves.” By the time this episode airs, the conference will have already taken place and, I’m sure, been a huge success. Good news for future fans—Farah plans to make this conference an annual gathering. And that title sounds familiar, it is also the name of her new book.
It feels like Farah is everywhere, doing everything. Whether you catch her on LinkedIn Live or listen to her podcast, The Nursing Dose with Farah, her energy is undeniable. She is truly dedicated to helping nurses elevate their careers.
In the five-minute snippet: DJ Farah is setting fire to the dance floor.

[00:00] Michelle: This week, I had the pleasure of catching up with a returning guest, the OG nursepreneur, Farah Laurent.
[00:08] Since our last conversation over two years ago, she has been achieving remarkable success.
[00:14] Not only does Farah hold six board certifications, but she has also earned a doctorate in nursing. One exciting development is that Farah hosted her first nursing conference titled Nurses Making Money Moves.
[00:28] By the time this episode airs, the conference will have already taken place and I'm sure been a huge success.
[00:36] But good news for future fans. Farah plans to make this conference an annual gathering.
[00:43] And if that title sounds familiar, it's also the name of her new book.
[00:48] It feels like Farah is everywhere, doing everything.
[00:52] Whether you catch her on LinkedIn live or listen to her podcast, The Nursing Dose with Farah, her energy is undeniable.
[01:01] She is truly dedicated to helping nurses elevate their careers.
[01:07] In the five minute snippet:
[01:09] DJ Farah is setting fire to the dance floor.
[01:29] Well, hello, Farah. Welcome back to the podcast.
[01:35] Farah: Thank you so much, Michelle, for having me. Again, such a pleasure and honor to be back on the show.
[01:42] Michelle: Well, I have just loved having you the first time and I know this time will be no different.
[01:48] You're amazing and I've been watching what you've been doing over the last.
[01:53] Gosh, we last met May 31st. I was looking 2023, so.
[01:59] Farah: Oh my goodness.
[02:00] Michelle: I know, right? You were episode 45 and you were the first person to introduce me to the word nursepreneur.
[02:10] Farah: Oh, yes, yes, yes, I remember that.
[02:13] Michelle: Yeah, never heard it before.
[02:16] So I want to know what's been going on in your life since we last talked because you have a new title, I see. Dr. Farah Laurent. And then you have something coming up in just a couple of days here.
[02:31] So today's March 3rd and you can tell us what's coming up in a couple of days.
[02:36] So let's just start with what have you been doing since we last spoke almost two years ago.
[02:43] Farah: Oh my goodness, so much has happened.
[02:47] So actually, just personally, my kids are now 8 and 4, so I have an 8 year old boy, 4 year old girl. And then we moved. Actually we, we left the east coast.
[03:00] We were in the New York area and New Jersey, but we left and just moved to Tampa, Florida just recently.
[03:07] And then you mentioned that I got my doctorate, so yes, I got my doctorate In January of 2024,
[03:14] my doctorate in organizational leadership.
[03:18] I also held some very different leadership roles. I was in academia as the director of a nursing program. Then I got laid off due to basically advocating for myself and making sure that I tried to cultivate a healthy work environment.
[03:36] But, you know, everything happens for a reason. So I was laid off from that position and then went into an associate dean position and shortly after, same thing, got laid off from that position.
[03:49] So, you know, I always joke about it and say that, you know, maybe this is God pushing me more and more towards entrepreneurship and really creating an impact in a different way.
[04:03] So right now I'm actually doing a part time role as a contractor, doing some work in the education realm. But, you know, since last we spoke, really been focusing on the business as a nurse career coach, you know, taking on more clients, helping them really land their dream job,
[04:24] but particularly focusing in on my clientele of the new graduate nurses. I do work with all nurses, but that's truly the population that I work mostly with is the new graduate nurse and the nursing students.
[04:38] And so far I've helped over a hundred nurses land their dream position,
[04:43] which I'm pretty proud of.
[04:45] Michelle: Yeah, yeah, you should be. That's amazing.
[04:48] Farah: Yeah. And then literally In December of 2024,
[04:54] I was on a webinar and this person that I follow, Rachel Rogers, is, she's a millionaire. She was talking about her conference and she was talking about the importance of building trust with your community,
[05:06] your audience. And I've always wanted to host a conference, but I always thought, oh, I don't know if I can do it type thing. However, that day I decided that I was going to follow my gut feeling and from the idea that I had December 6, it took me six days to execute on deciding to throw my own conference called Nurses Making Money Moves Conference,
[05:31] being held in Tampa, and literally sold my first ticket six days after the idea.
[05:37] Michelle: Wow. So that is so cool.
[05:42] Farah: And in December when like all the holidays and everything were happening, right.
[05:49] Michelle: And sometimes we say we can't do anything during this time because it's so busy and nobody wants to do anything during the holidays. And man, you just blew that right out of the water and proved everybody wrong.
[06:02] Farah: Yeah. And it's funny that I was following this one particular nurse that I looked up to in business and I messaged her on LinkedIn and I said, hey, you know, what do you think about this idea of me hosting my own conference type thing?
[06:18] And she was like, oh, she's like, I would never do that. I've been doing these types of things for years. She's like, plus, it's the holidays. She's like, well, I don't want to burst your bubble or like rain on your parade, but I would never do it.
[06:32] It would take at least a year or more to plan and market.
[06:37] And I got off the phone and I was like, you know what? I'm just gonna do my typical me and just do what I do best and just, you know, pursue what it is that I wanna do.
[06:49] And I literally. I think that gave me even more fuel to my fire. And literally within, I think, two weeks, I had all the speakers booked and the venue booked.
[07:01] Michelle: Oh, my God. That's just so you. You're like on the call going, yeah, that's why you're you and I'm me, because I need to move a little quicker than that.
[07:13] I'm not gonna wait around.
[07:15] Yeah, that's fantastic. I love it.
[07:19] Wow. Okay, so that is coming up March 8th. So tell me, I know that the tickets are already sold for that, but is this something that you can see doing again?
[07:33] Farah: Yes, absolutely. My vision for this conference is to actually have this as an annual conference and also many other events, smaller events that will stem from it. So this all came about because I wrote a book called Nurses Making Money Moves: A Nurse's Guide to Starting a Business, which is a workbook that I have on my website.
[07:57] And a lot of nurses kept coming up to me and asking me, like, hey, how did you start your nurse career coaching business? Do you need to be certified? How did you start your business?
[08:07] How are you doing this while still working? You know? So then I decided I want to build this conference with the vision that it's not just for nurses, right? So I want other industries to be involved.
[08:23] So I've invited marketing experts, sales experts.
[08:27] You know, I have a professor from the University of Tampa who is the chair of the entrepreneurship program, who'll be a speaker, also a personal stylist, because I really believe in personal brand and visibility.
[08:41] So she's coming from Toronto to talk about the importance of personal style. Most of the time, when you see conferences, it's a conference for, let's say, nursing students only or nurse practitioners only, or nurse leaders.
[08:55] So for me, I want to break all those kind of silos, bring all nurses together, and bring other industries like I mentioned, marketing, sales to come together. And this is a women's empowerment conference.
[09:10] I specifically chose March for Women's History Month. And it happened to fall on International Women's Day, which is very important to me because, you know, historically, as we know, women have gone through a lot of adversity.
[09:25] And I really think that financial literacy is important, especially for nurses and women in general. So this is kind of the vision that I want to create and have,
[09:38] have a conference every year, you know, to follow up on this.
[09:42] Michelle: Yeah, that's so cool. And it's so needed, I think, especially right now as so many nurses are navigating away from the bedside, out of hospitals into entrepreneurship.
[09:56] And the other thing that I like is that you're adding that financial part of it, and especially for new nurses. I wish that this could get into nursing curriculum where there's a financial piece.
[10:16] Right.
[10:17] We just don't get that. We don't get that money piece. And it's just so essential, especially if you want to go out and be an entrepreneur, a nurse preneur.
[10:30] So I'm really glad that you're providing that and that you're having all those different specialists there. That's really, really cool.
[10:38] Farah: Yeah. And that's. I'm actually excited that you mentioned the curriculum piece because that's something I'm actually working on currently.
[10:47] Michelle: Yes.
[10:47] Farah: Is trying to see, you know, universities out there who are more progressive and who would want to partner with me to create a, you know, a nurse entrepreneur course. I mean, really more in partnership that I would create the course and kind of host it at their university.
[11:07] So I'm in talks with one particular university now, just like in early stages. But this is really my other vision is to get this into universities, like you said, nursing schools, to talk about the opportunities that nurses have in the business realm and even just business basics.
[11:28] Right. So even if you're going to an interview, a lot of nurses don't know how to self promote. They don't know how to market themselves and how to communicate with confidence.
[11:38] And these are all things that we can learn as nurses as early as, like you said in, you know, early nursing programs and even in doctoral programs. I feel like it needs to be a little bit more heavily structured where it's a more emphasis on business and like, like finance and things like that.
[11:59] So, you know, that's another piece that I'm working on from the curriculum aspect. And then of course, like the value proposition of this conference. I always say that I'm going to be conferencing my way.
[12:12] Right. Like most conferences,
[12:15] you know, can be a little bit dry and boring, you know, but I'm really going to be mixing fun and education together, because I'm all about, you know, my education background.
[12:27] I'm all about making learning fun. So, you know, I even have a DJ that's going to be present all day.
[12:35] Michelle: I saw that. I was like, this is going to be unlike any conference that I for sure have ever been to.
[12:43] Farah: Yeah.
[12:43] Michelle: And what a way to mix it up and really attract people, because I think more nurses would go to conferences. But like you said, man, they are. Some of them are so dry.
[12:55] And I know for a fact that nurses end up skipping a lot of the content and going out and seeing the town, because it's usually at a different site than they're at.
[13:07] Right?
[13:08] Farah: Yeah.
[13:08] Michelle: And, yeah, I got on the website for that, and I thought, oh, my gosh, they're gonna have food and they're gonna have a DJ. And it's got an energy, Farah, and it's your energy.
[13:21] You have this energy inside of you that is just, like, busting to get out, and you want to share it with everybody,
[13:31] and that's going to be phenomenal. Are you going to have somebody taking video of this?
[13:39] Farah: Yes.
[13:40] Michelle: Okay, good.
[13:41] Farah: I have a video. A video team and photographers. And actually, I love that you mentioned the energy piece, because, honestly, I think that's kind of become part of my brand of what I'm known for, is my energy, especially when people meet me in person,
[13:59] because I'm all about that positive energy. Right. And the big energy, because we need to, like, stop playing small and, like, just be more of ourselves and, like, celebrate and be enthusiastic.
[14:12] And I think it also really came about when I was an educator, because we need to engage our audiences. Right. And I think that's what some conferences, a little bit, have lost, like, how to engage the audience and then just have relevant content that the audience actually really wants to listen to.
[14:30] So that's kind of what I've really tried to curate with this conference and making it fun. And then I also have two special surprise, like, performances.
[14:40] I actually. Maybe I won't give it away, but you guys can see the clips when the clips come out.
[14:47] Michelle: Yeah.
[14:48] Farah: You know, I chose Tampa, obviously, because we just moved here, and it's a really vibrant city, and a lot of people have never visited Tampa. So I think it's a good way
[14:57] To bring people here. And the other thing is, like, I'm trying to also get connected and network within Tampa because it's a big hub now for businesses and tech and different things.
[15:09] So I'm excited for the future conferences to be held here and potentially even maybe move it to a different city here and there. So, super excited and I can't wait for you guys to see.
[15:20] And there's going to be a virtual live stream option that I just confirmed. So if anyone's interested, you could still get a live stream virtual option and be part of the, you know, part of the excitement and, and part of the conference.
[15:38] And I do have only a couple tickets left, but, I mean, by the time you air this, I don't know, it'll probably be done.
[15:44] Michelle: Yeah, yeah, it will. But that's why I wanted to know for sure, like, is this going to be something that you're planning on doing, you know, annually,
[15:52] and, and like, you confirmed, like, yes, you would like to do that. And I love how you, your audience nurses, and you know their personality.
[16:04] You know, that they have energy that they like to explore, that they're adventurous, that they're fun. Right. We nurses love to have fun. And you can't just put us in a box in a dry conference room and, and have somebody just talk to us and not have any interaction.
[16:23] We don't do well with that. So I love that you really have tailored your conference to your audience and knowing your audience,
[16:34] you talked about having a virtual live event. And I want to talk about your LinkedIn lives because I've enjoyed those and I,
[16:42] I really want to get, I want to get brave, Farah. Like, I am really bad behind the camera.
[16:50] Just doing, like, my Instagram stories and stuff. It's like, oh, my God, relax, Michelle. You're so, like, stiff. And so what. What is the key? What advice would you give to someone that's kind of, you know, being behind the camera is not their,
[17:08] you know, not their forte. Like, how would you advise them to kind of break out of that mold a little bit?
[17:15] Farah: Yeah, so that's a great question because,
[17:18] you know, just quickly going back to the theme of the conference. The theme of the conference is network visibility and impact.
[17:27] And a big of a big part of what we're going to talk about. All the speakers is going to. We're going to weave in personal branding and visibility into, you know, the whole conference content because I think it's extremely important for nurses or non nurses, basically, whoever you are out there,
[17:46] you have a message, you have a purpose, and you want to make an impact. Right? So if you want to make an impact, you have to be visible. And whether that's being visible,
[17:58] audio form, video form,
[18:01] networking, in person, writing articles. I always talk about if you want to build a brand, you literally have to be everywhere so that people know about you,
[18:11] so that they can follow you and perhaps help you with further that impact, right? So in the beginning, obviously video is hard for a lot of people because you're always, you know, thinking, how do I look?
[18:25] You know, are people gonna, you know, like what I say, you kind of get into your feelings and like, you know, the fear of what people will think. I think the more you do it and the more you practice, you realize that people probably really don't care that much and they're really rooting for you.
[18:43] And when you get behind your purpose and your message and your why, you realize that it's actually greater than just you, right? And you're like, I'm doing this not for me, but, but for my audience, right?
[18:57] And then it starts getting easier. Yes, you're gonna mess up here and there. I mean, I mess up all the time or I forget things, but it's fine because that's part of that, like, authenticity.
[19:08] And a lot of people that actually ask me about my,
[19:14] my podcast,
[19:16] I tell them that I don't, I don't edit my podcast. So typically I'll just run it live. And then what I do is I take the recording and I'll put it on Spotify, you know, and some people might think that's annoying or whatever, but some people love it because it's just the raw,
[19:31] authentic content. And I think these days people just want realness and they just,
[19:37] you know, this is why I think people are obsessed with like, reality shows and things like that. But really the biggest tips, I would say is have good lighting,
[19:45] have a good microphone so people can really hear the audio well and hear your message and then just have fun with it, I would say. And then you don't have to look made up all the time.
[19:57] But you know, once in a while, if you want to put on some makeup, do your hair, you usually feel more confident right when you're like made up. So that's kind of my tips.
[20:08] And then people will say, well, like, do you have like pre-written questions that you send your guests? And I'm like, no, no, no, no. We just have a conversation and that and pretty much that's it.
[20:20] Michelle: Oh my God, I love it. You're, as you were talking, I was like, man, she's giving me inspiration.
[20:26] Like I might Just do this. Maybe I'll do it with you.
[20:30] Farah: Oh, yes, definitely.
[20:32] Michelle: Wouldn't that be awesome?
[20:34] Farah: Yeah, because you, like, I feel like it's easier. Like, when I first started my videos, it felt really awkward because I wasn't talking to anybody, and it was just like talking to a camera.
[20:46] But if you want to go live and you have guests, I feel like it's easier to interview guests because you just vibe off of each other and you don't feel like you're just talking to yourself.
[20:56] And then don't worry about views, because early on, like, I had zero views. But even though you have zero views, you might think, like, nobody's watching or paying attention to your videos or content, but really they are.
[21:09] They may just not be actively commenting or, you know, saying things, but people are. People are paying attention.
[21:18] Michelle: Love it. Absolutely love it. Like you said, like, yeah, your energy is something amazing. And if I could just have, like, a tenth of that, it would just be. It would be great
[21:29] Farah. Well, you mentioned your podcast, and it is The Nursing Dose with Farah. So what's been going on with your podcast? Talk about that.
[21:39] Farah: So I basically was interviewing a lot of people in the last several months. But when I decided to do this event, with this conference being the magnitude that it is and not really having much help, because I decided to do this pretty quickly in less than three months, I had to do a lot of heavy lifting with,
[21:59] like, marketing, you know, sales and planning and all that.
[22:03] So I decided to, like, put that on pause a little bit and really focus on this conference. But really, the. The whole intent of The Nursing Dose with Farah is to really amplify the voices of other nurses, and then also to interview non nursing guests that are experts in their field,
[22:23] such as business,
[22:25] personal branding, that type of stuff, because I want nurses to expand their mindset, really. And I think another thing that I've been really kind of really, I guess, pondering a lot about is this idea that I think nurses, and this is true for myself,
[22:47] sometimes we get lost a little bit in our identity, in our career as a nurse,
[22:53] and it's very hard to separate the two because of, like, the work that we do.
[23:00] So I think that's something else that I want to also explore on the podcast is like, explore what nurses are doing outside of nursing and really explore their other passions and things like that, because we need to really teach the next generation of nurses.
[23:17] It can't just all be about the career, because I know on LinkedIn I post a lot about career things, but, you know, it's okay to really show some other aspects of yourself and explain, explore other things because you can, it's easy to get lost in your career.
[23:31] And then we get into like, issues with, you know, self care issues and all that other stuff. And even, even for Women's History Month. Right. Like a lot of us are moms.
[23:42] Some of our, some of us are not. But it's easy to get lost in motherhood and also, you know, in having a partner or whatever. So really getting back to who we are, I think is important.
[23:55] Michelle: I love that you're going down that road, Farah.
[23:59] I think that's so important. And I will say for me, and you know, my listeners know that I've talked about this a lot that very connected with the nurse identity and it was very difficult to retire and then go, oh, if I'm not a nurse, what am I?
[24:16] Who am I? Right.
[24:18] And had to explore that. But I found that I do have so many other interests and I think for nurses to start out that way, you know, being more well rounded like nursing is, it's, it's something that I do.
[24:34] It's not like who I am is, is so healthy. And I love that you're doing that. And I have also, at the request of some of my guests and some of my listeners, they said, you know, why don't you step outside your box because you seem pretty comfortable interviewing nurses.
[24:51] So, so why don't you interview some other folks? And I have done that and it's been just fantastic. I, I've loved it and so, so I love that you're doing that and I, I love your podcast and yeah, your future is really bright.
[25:09] And I, I know that we're, we're short on time, but anything else coming up that, that you want to talk about?
[25:16] Farah: Yeah, so I'm actually working on a second book again, just me self publishing it myself. I don't know if it'll be ready in time for the conference, but I'm trying. I'm going to be writing a book on personal branding for, specifically for nurses because in the work that I've done with the nurse career coaching,
[25:38] I realized that nurses, a lot of nurses don't understand personal branding and they may not understand the value of personal branding. And for me, I feel like personal branding,
[25:53] the lack of understanding of personal branding and also the lack of understanding networking and being visible really hurt me in my career in terms of professional advancement. I felt like I could have advanced a lot further if I really understood personal branding.
[26:10] So this is why I want to write this book. Not only for business owners who are interested in business. Right. But even for professional growth, the importance of understanding what a personal brand is.
[26:23] So that's kind of the next project. And then obviously, as I mentioned, really finding a couple universities that are interested in having a nurse entrepreneurship course.
[26:37] That's, that's the next big thing. Because I think it's really needed, like you said, there's a lot of nurse practitioners that want to own, open up their own practices or do service based businesses or, or have a product or idea and they're not sure where to start.
[26:51] So I kind of want to just do a series of courses, but really start with business basics. And really, for anyone listening, if you are interested in starting a business, you don't necessarily need like advanced degrees, you don't need an NBA, you don't need a certification.
[27:07] Look at a lot of these entrepreneurs out there who are millionaires. A lot of it is just having the idea, having the guts to go for it and having the consistency to stick with it and, you know, execute and you will fail multiple times.
[27:22] But there's different paths to entrepreneurship and business. But I just want nurses to know that you do have the option, at least having a side hustle to have some income.
[27:32] Because as we can see, you know, even now in the state of,
[27:37] you know, our, our country, and not just here in the U.S. but really globally, there's a lot of layoffs happening and you need to have a, a certain skill set that you're continuing to stack so that in, if in any moment you're able to pivot and actually do something and provide,
[27:57] you know, a service or something for someone so that you can actually have an income and really have multiple streams of income. So don't think just in terms of now or the present or, oh, I'm a nurse,
[28:11] you know, think about different opportunities that are out there for you and that you can share your knowledge and experiences because it can help other people. So that's really, I would say, the biggest thing and then I would say more speaking engagements internationally.
[28:27] That's something else that I'm working on.
[28:29] Michelle: Yeah,
[28:30] very, very cool. You got a lot of things going on. You're juggling all kinds of things, but if anybody can do it, it's you, Farah. Like I said, you have the energy of the sun burning inside of you.
[28:45] And those are fantastic endeavors. And you're right, like our jobs are never, you know, guaranteed, right? We always have to have something in our back pocket to call on.
[28:59] And I just think it's great that you're providing all of those services.
[29:03] Where can we find you, Farah?
[29:05] Farah: So my, you know, my website is nursefarah.com. I'm going to be revamping it soon after the conference and everything. So you'll find some photos and videos there. And I also did a brand photo shoot, so hopefully those pictures will be up there soon.
[29:21] And really, you know, my other thing I wanted to throw in is that nurses need to understand the value of investing in themselves, whether it's professionally or in business, because a lot of nurses are hesitant to spend the money.
[29:36] So really, look at this year, investing in yourself, whether it's going to get a photo shoot or whatever it is to help you invest. So, yes, you can find me on NurseFarah.com
[29:48] you can find me on LinkedIn. That's typically where I hang out. Or just Google me and you'll find me there. And then you can get my book, Nurses Making Money Moves, on my website, nursefarah.com as well.
[30:02] Michelle: Sweet. I have all those links that I will put in the show notes for everybody.
[30:07] And I really appreciate you coming on again today, Farah, to share everything that you're doing for the nursing community, the business community,
[30:16] and just really all of us. So thank you so much.
[30:20] Farah: Yes, thank you so much. And like I said, anytime you want to go live with me or on video, let's make it happen. Let's do it.
[30:30] Michelle: I gotta. I gotta get brave, girl. I gotta get brave. If anybody can inspire me, it's you.
[30:36] Farah: Yes. Honestly, it's like, who cares? Just do it right. Just make it happen. And that's really my motto for this year is just execute right. Just take action.
[30:47] Like, who cares? Let's just do it right. Let's have fun with it. So, yeah, whenever you're ready. And thank you for all that you do with podcasting and highlighting other nurses and other professionals.
[30:58] It's always a pleasure speaking with you. So thank you again for. For the opportunity and highlighting everything that I'm doing. So thank you.
[31:07] Michelle: Oh, thank you for that, Farah. I appreciate it. So do you have time for the five minute snippet?
[31:12] Farah: Yeah, let's do it quickly. Let's go.
[31:14] Michelle: Okay. All right. Remember how much fun we had last time.
[31:57] Convince me to live in Tampa, Florida.
[32:01] Farah: So Tampa is amazing.
[32:03] Literally. The weather right now is in the 70s and 80s all week. We took the kids out to the pool yesterday. So great weather, great food and.
[32:15] Yeah, I mean, what else do you want? It's a good quality of life. There's always stuff to do outside.
[32:20] Michelle: Sounds amazing. Okay, this is a Finish the sentence. If I weren't a nurse, I'd be________
[32:26] Farah: Ooh, this is a fun one. So if I weren't a nurse,
[32:30] I think I would be in the music industry. Like, I probably would love to be a DJ.
[32:37] Michelle: Wow! Maybe you could try your hand at your conference.
[32:40] Farah: Or like a dance choreographer. I love dancing. And also photography. I love art. Yeah.
[32:48] Michelle: Love it. Awesome. Okay. Would you rather bungee jump off a cliff or give a commencement speech to a packed stadium?
[32:58] Farah: Oh, commencement speech to a pac stadium. Bring that on any day. Yes.
[33:05] Michelle: I felt like you were gonna say that. Very cool. Okay, here's a Finish this sentence. When I don't have the answer, I_______
[33:13] Farah: I figure it out. Everything is figureoutable. So typically, love that YouTube University or Google it. Yep.
[33:24] Michelle: Okay, finish this sentence. Something that frustrates me every time is_______
[33:30] Farah: Huh, that's an interesting one. I mean, one thing that I will say, I'm in Florida now. Florida drivers, some of them drive me nuts. I feel like they can't drive.
[33:39] So that's one. And then number two, something that frustrates me is just like negative people. Negative people that keep saying, like making excuses or saying they can't do this or they can't do that.
[33:54] So I try to stay away from those type of people because they could be very draining in energy.
[34:02] Yeah. So that's what I'll say. Be very careful who you surround yourself with. Yeah. And stay positive and surround yourself with people who are grateful.
[34:13] Michelle: Great advice. Okay, last question. Think back to 2024. Did you win or did you learn?
[34:22] Farah: Oh, my goodness. I would say both.
[34:25] But there was a lot of wins. There was a lot of big wins. And one of those big wins was graduating.
[34:31] I had my Betsy Johnson shoes on, sparkly shoes.
[34:35] And I was running around.
[34:39] Literally, I brought my camera up and videotaped myself when they were doing the hooding,
[34:47] and the one was like, I've never seen that before. I love it. And I was just, like, running around all happy be. And my family.
[34:55] Michelle: Yes, we should.
[34:56] Farah: Yeah. My family had come down from Canada, and then my kids obviously saw that it was important for me for. For them to see, you know, mom, you know, being able to work, raise kids, go to school, all that stuff.
[35:09] Yeah. So, yeah, that was.
[35:11] Michelle: Wow. Lots of winning and lots of learning and.
[35:15] And lots of sharing. Thank you for sharing yourself with us today, Farah. I just appreciate you and everything that you're doing. Again, congratulations.
[35:25] Farah: Thank you so much. I'm all about having fun, so we definitely have to. I have to have you on my podcast live stream.
[35:34] Michelle: Love it.
[35:35] Farah: Love it. We're definitely going to do that. You can't back out of it.
[35:39] Michelle: Okay. And I'm going to put you in touch with someone that I just interviewed, Joseph Harrison. He's the CEO of Avail Health, and he helps nurse practitioners set up their businesses, their private practices.
[35:53] And so we talked about business acumen, and I think you guys would get along really well. So I'll introduce you.
[36:01] Farah: Awesome. Thank you again.
[36:03] And hopefully everybody has a wonderful day and continue to listen to Michelle. She has amazing guests, and she's an amazing podcaster. So thank you for the opportunity.
[36:14] Michelle: Thank you, Farah. Best of luck in all. You do.
[36:17] Farah: All right. Thank you.
