The Undead Symphony
Episode 276: Forgive Us All (2025)
Despite Richard Roxburgh, Lily Sullivan and Callan Mulvany, the beautiful New Zealand landscape and, at times, very Lord of the Rings, music, this was annoying… slow, obvious and ultimately unoriginal and disappointing…
I have seen all the elements of this movie before in one form or another. An antipodean western, I guessed how people died, we have no real explanation why Mulvaney was such a dick. It was just pretty, but slow and dull.
We had a child infected, then had to wait for half the movie for a glimpse of another. Then we get a handful at the end. The practical effects were good, what there was of them. But I have seen more zombies on a London bus after a night out.
Shame as I was looking forward to it and had been for ages. 4/10
