"Forgive me father for I have skinned." - Cancer spelled Kansa.
A movie so terrible I had to take five sitting to finish it including a nap and a work call I didn't even need to be on, a movie so bad it needed narration and constant music, a movie so bad I had to double check it wasn't made by Uwe Boll, a movie so bad the highlight was a closed caption that said "Fabulus pants."
What movie are we talking about? GallowWalkers, for some reason one word, starring Wesley Snipes mid tax evasion jailcell as a cursed gunslinger who's woman is raped, dies in childbirth, and he hunts down and kills the rapists only for them to come back as piss eyed zombies that need to murder and skin their victims and wear their skin else they end up looking like human jerky.
A lot of awful blond wigs, some of the worst dialog in the history of cinema, and all this could have been Chow Yun Fat as a zombie hunter called The Wretched. Alas, we shall lament what could have been.
This? One of the worst movies I have ever seen.
2.5/10
And I am back again. Ladies and gentlemen, you see, I ran a hundred kilometer ultra marathon at the weekend, and today is only Tuesday. So I am still Um Still trying to recover. Um what it means is I'm lounging around the house, not doing much, wearing sweatpants. Uh, because after all, the hundred degrees the hundred kilometres wasn't just a hundred kilometres, it was a hundred kilometres in a hundred degree temperature. So it was a challenge. Um what I'm gonna do now is I'm gonna watch another movie, another zombie movie. Uh, I'm just off the back of our first Barbadian uh zombie movie from Barbados, a movie that came out twice in 2022 and 2026 Stroke 5. It was called Lost in Darkness in 2022, and then it was called After the Silence. Both very lofty titles to what actually was a pretty poor showing of people running around not being able to fight the zombies very well uh until they all end up dead. Uh well that's not true. The three main characters all survived, but they were shit. They couldn't kill a fucking zombie even if they're lived, and it did. Depended on it. So I decided to go hunting. Um you know what it's like when you go dumpster diving in Tubi looking for zombie movies. Um decided against Tubi this time, decided to go dumpster diving instead in Amazon, but Amazon Prime, so free on Amazon Prime, and I've come up with this oddity. Gallo walkers, all one word, gallo walkers, so gallo, as in gallows, as in nooses and hanging and the like. Walkers, gallo walkers, one word, terrible title. It is a 2012 American horror western, uh written and directed by Andrew Goth, clearly not his real name, and it stars well, it stars Wesley Snipes and Patrick Bergen. Um it uh had no official release. Um it was actually made in 2010. Uh had lots of issues, mainly due to the fact that Wesley Snipes ended up going to prison um for tax evasion. Uh and yeah, it wasn't screened for another two years. In fact, it it started production in 2006, so they started making it in 2006. In 2010, Wesley Snipes was in jail, and it wasn't actually out in the US until 2015, nearly eight years later. Um it stars Wesley Snipes as uh as uh as a what's his character called? So Wesley Snipes is a man. One word, A-M-A-N, a man. Uh and Patrick Bergen is Marshall Garza. Um and we've got characters like Cancer, uh Fabulous Angel, Skullbucket, um Diamond Dallas Page is playing Skullbucket, uh, Mistress Kiska Sweno Forty Bold and Slipknot. So what it is is effectively this story where um according to everything a man that's Wesley Snipes uh a cursed man has to face the consequences of his mother's choices as all the people he kills come back comes back from the dead. He enlests enlists the help of a young warrior to help fight the zombies. Um yeah or a cursed gunman snipes whose victims come back from the dead, recruits a young warrior to help fight the zombies. Yeah. That's cut pretty much the description. It gets twelve per cent on rotten tomatoes, it gets which is bad. It gets three point eight per cent on IMDb. Three point eight per cent, which given it's a list star ain't good, and out of that there is only though there are only one hundred and eight reviews. Um although that three point six is uh eight thousand people have given it eight point six. Um trying to read the reviews, go and pick a couple of randoms. Alas, poor Wesley, I knew him well. Uh one out of ten. I think most Wesley Snipes fans will always remember him from things like White Men Can't Jump, Passenger 57, Demolition Man and the Blade Trilogy. It's because of these fun little classics that I choose chose to watch, Gallow Walkers. I did a little research before I sat down and watched it. I saw it that it had a a um uh saw that it had a rating of about three out of ten, but I thought, hey, it's got Wesley Snipes in it. It can't be that bad. How wrong I was. 1% 1 out of 10. Oh dear, next one. 1 out of 10. Don't even bother. I decided to give this flick a shot based on the decent looking trailer. The trailer looks like it's got the entire fucking storyline in it. And Wesley Snipes. This isn't the first time I've been fooled by a trailer. I'm sure it isn't the last. That being said, this is the attempt, this is my attempt at not letting anyone else get fooled by the decent trailer and the fact that Wesley Snipes is in it. The story is absolute garbage. The cast is terrible, the dialogue is corny, the only saving grace for this movie, of course it's in cleavage. If Wesley Snipes wasn't in the movie, I'd assume this was an F grade movie. Not that it exists, by the way. Because Snipes is in it, it's actually an E-grade movie. In a nutshell, I've no idea how this movie got greenlit and pray that nobody else waste their time on this steaming pile of crap. That's a shame, because I'm about to waste my time on this steaming pile of crap. Because this is the Undead Symphony with me, Darren Smith. This is episode 369, which I'm watching this pile of crap that is Wesley Snipes' 20 potentially twelve Gallow Walkers.
SPEAKER_00Hey, this is Lou Diamond Phillips, and I play Jack La Rocha in Route 666, and you're listening to the Undead Symphony.
SPEAKER_01Ugh, so yes, that's that's that's how I feel about Gallow Walkers. Apparently this movie started as a uh in 2005 as a movie called The Wretched with Chow Young Fat um set to star as a zombie hunter relic. Now I would have actually watched The Wretched uh style in Chow Young Fat. Is that a thing? I'm just gonna Google that now. Uh The Wretched Chow Young Fat. Uh Chow Young Fat Chow Young, yeah, it was originally Chow Young Fat was supposed to be in The Wretched. Um a zombie Western where he was a bounty hunter called Relic, but he dropped it out and we got this piece of shit. It was filmed in Namibia, which is why we actually have Popper Desert, it's not in the US. That's why we also have lots of actors who don't look as if they are uh American actors. Um it coincided with Wesley Snipes in inverted commas, and I'm doing the finger quotes tax problems. Um the backer, Gary Smith, had ensured there was a completion bond as backup, but declared we are happy that he continues to turn up on set each day. If his indictment creates this amount of press, it does show that he was a star. Um which is true, he was a star and he did get a lot of press for going to prison for a tax evasion. However, in a 2014 interview with Empire, Snipes called the movie an absolute disaster. Scott Foy of Dread Central scores it one out of five stars, and wrote if you've seen the trailer of Gallow Walkers, then not only have you seen pretty much the best parts, you've actually seen a more lucid version of the film than the film itself. This is actually genuinely true, and the m and the trailer is still a bag of fucking cats. Scott Weinberg of FearNet wrote, it would take a team of veteran film critics working around the clock to catalogue all the things that are wrong with this outrageously goofy movie. Gallow Walkers is funnier by accident than anything Adam Sandler has done on purpose. Burn. Um it starts with Wes Wesley Snipes, Wes, as I call him, narrating the trouble with the damned is they never stay put. Uh we have a lot of music, and you know what I say about music is when you cut aren't the movie shit, they give you music that's trying to make you uh emote and feel the emotional uh ties, uh feel an emotional tie with that particular scene, and it's either sad or angry or tense or exciting. Uh so we end up with music. I'm feeling these two things. I'm feeling these two things. One, we've got narration, which suggests that the movie doesn't hold up without being explained what is going on, and the music is constant, which is a really bad omen. We're at a goat farm stroke slaughterhouse, and somebody, a child, is pouring buckets of blood down a well. Lovely. It is a child with a very bad, straggly blonde, Mad Max style wig, and a lot of the people in this movie have those wigs. The wig department was working overtime and which should be fired because all of them have these really, really bad blonde wigs. Wes wides up with the body on the back of his horse. He then knocks the body off the horse and chops it off. Um this is a slaughterhouse. Um we will learn later that the child is um the bastard child of his dead girlfriend, and that the woman looking after the child and living at the slaughterhouse is a widow who took him in as a child and made him also work at the um at the slaughterhouse. We then get a flashback to uh the body when the body was alive, and it was a character called Red, one of five pieces of shit, who are raping a woman. This is Wesley Snipes his woman, and uh the leader, Cancer, spelled K-A-N-S-A, Cancer, is trying to force his son to be a man, be a man and rape this woman, be one of the five rapists. Next, um, we see a guy who is standing on the trail tracks. Um, there is a tree nearby covered in crows. Uh I think they're actually CGI crows, but I don't know, they could just be puppets, given how bad this movie is. Rather than a train coming along the tracks from the distance, a Chinese rail worker pumps one of those like, you know, Looney Tunes pump trucks, uh, with three uh gunmen on it. The three gunmen are all wearing like cardinal red uh outfits. That's the out their robes look like cardinals, and they've got the the hats that sort of look very um uh Spanish Inquisition, but these are gunmen, the leader of which has his lips sewn closed. These are holy gunslingers. More constant music. So apparently uh the the holy gunslingers are zombies. You can tell those zombies because they've got piss yellow eyes. The guy who works for them, the one who is standing on the train tracks, uh, who basically says, Um I was with Red, and then he got him, and now you know I I don't know where the boss is, but we're gonna go and get him talking about talking about uh Wesley Snipes' gunslinger. Um and the zombies are have the lead zombie anyway has his lips sewn together, and we soon see later that he sows sewed them together himself. Uh Wes is hiding behind the crow tree, and with the constant music, Wes then stips steps out, and he out gunslings the three holy gunslinger and the guy, shooting all four of them before ripping the head of the leader. The leader with the guy with the lips sewn together, uh ripping his head off in one go. Anyway. So it's gonna be confusing, and I did write this as I was watching it. So just to give you a heads up Wesley Snipes uh was the bastard child of a whore who was taken in by these um uh by these priests, these these nuns, uh the sisters of um Santa Cristo, I think it is. Um he then ended up you know uh being left by the mother, uh actually effectively being orphaned by her. Uh he then goes uh and is found as a teen by this widow, the one who owns the um uh owns the uh slaughterhouse where he works. She has a daughter, and it's his daughter the daughter that he loves, and the two of them grow up together, and she is the woman that was raped. The two of them loved each other. Uh Wes and the mother at one point head to town to sell the skins that they have from the slaughterhouse. When they are gone, the uh five guys led by cancer arrive and rape her. When they arrive back, um they find her raped, and she is pregnant with the child of one of the five. This is the straggly blonde-haired child living at the slaughterhouse with the old woman. Uh which Wes cannot see as his own child, uh, because it's not. Uh she dies in childbirth, the mother, uh, and he seeks revenge. So he heads out one day, five years ago, uh finds the rapists have all been captured by the military. Uh he heads into the fort, and in their cells, he shoots them all to death. Other than the son of Cancer, who, due to what he's done, felt so bad that he hung himself in his cell. So the son died before Wesley could arrive. Now, Wesley then is uh he is also shot and is gonna die. He goes to find he tries to rides into the desert. Now, this is like the crazy Namibian desert, and not the actual deserts in the US. He ends up doing a nice roly-poly down um a uh sand dune, only to be found by his mother, who begs the demons to bring her son back. And the demons say, Yeah, I'll bring your son back, but you are gonna die, you're gonna sacrifice yourself, and uh anyone that he kills will come back alive and haunt him, which is basically what happens, and Kent Cancer and his group, including his whore, uh, and the guy with the slip stitched together, and red, and this guy called Sk Skullhelmet, I want to say. Um, and all these others, all these other zombies who have been murdered by or killed by Wesley Snipes, have come back to be a gang of rampaging intelligent zombie cowboys. Did you get all of that? So we then meet Angel. Now, Angel's one of these random characters. There are a lot of random characters in this movie. She is a whore, and she is one of uh, I don't know, a dozen prisoners that are going to be sent to the gallows in a nearby town. The town is actually the town run by Patrick Bergen, his character, Sheriff Garza, which is um an interesting choice of name and an interesting actor. Patrick Bergen, uh probably second only to Wesley Snipes in this movie, and Ryan Smith, Riley Smith, sorry, Wiley Smith, um who uh plays a character called Fabulous. Um all the characters have got stupid fucking names, as we said. Uh Wiley Smith, I kind of have seen him if he's kind of got a particular look about him, he's been in a lot of things, like vampire diaries and things like that. Anyway, Angel is a whore, and she is one of the people being sent with Fabulous to the gallows. Um basically the a stagecoach is gonna arrive that's gonna take them, uh co co uh coach is gonna arrive uh to take them to the gallows, but before that can happen, someone shoots all the sh the sheriff and all of his deputies, and it is Wes standing a very long way away on the top of a mountain, who at one point Riley Smith holds his chains apart and from I don't know 300 yards away, Wes Wesley snipes with a pistol, shoots the chain between his cuffs. Indeed. And then he lets the others get taken, including Angel. Uh he saves Fabulous, who is a gunslinger because he needs him to help him on a job. The other prisoners arrive at this lynching town, which is a lynching town where Patrick Bergen of Sheriff Gaza, a former sinner himself, is on a bit of a hanging kick. He's he's basically just got a 24-7 hanging thing going on. But the thing is that this religious town where everyone has got these stupid blonde wigs, doesn't realise that the bunch of murdering zombie assholes have turned up, um, including Cancer, who is now got no skin. He has no skin, and he kind of looks like he came out of that body exhibit. You know that body exhibit where you basically have got all the t the sinew and all the tendons and stuff on the outside and no skin. He looks like he's from the body exhibit. Uh, and his prostitute is there, and she is a two-bladed, murdering zombie punk, hair-cutted asshole. Constant tent's music as the skinless guy puts someone else's hair and skin on, puts on some clothes, heads out, and then shoots Bergen and his four deputies, then another five more, as his gang then arrive on horseback, including the guy with a giant bucket head and loads of sack wearers. Now, they're all sack wearers or bucket heads because they're dead and their skin is therefore dying, so therefore they have to keep replenishing it. I mean, what the actual fuck? It is all too bad, it is all too much. And at this point, I was really glad that the adverts on Amazon were turned on, because at least every 15 minutes I got the chance of some degree of entertainment. More constant dark orchestral music. And we are half hour in at this point. So Wesley Anders Anderson, Wesley, Wesley Anderson Wesley Snipes Wesley Snipes is this gunslinger trying on a revenge kick, trying to kill over and over again the people who His girlfriend, um, and uh they are trying to s at the same time s uh to bring back Cancer's son who is dead and believes that West that Wes Snipes didn't bring him back for a reason. We have now brooding music. As Fabulus asks Wes, why am I here? He then backs him onto a trapdoor and is falls into a maze of uh wooden tunnels that are below the um slaughterhouse complex and this these tunnels have zombies in. It's a convoluted maze test where Fabulus has to shoot and kill fighting zombies and killing them all because he can't because well, this is the stupid thing. Wes Snipe says he can't kill them because they keep coming back from the dead. However, for the rest of the movie, and clearly since the beginning of the movie when he chopped Red's head off, all you need to do is really fucking chop them up and rip their heads off and they don't come back. So what I don't know why he's like, I need you to go and kill the other zombies. The highlight of the entire movie, other than the ending and the ad breaks, uh, was this that at this point when Fabulous is fighting all these zombies, shooting them in this maze underneath the slaughterhouse, the subtitles or closed captions said Fabulous Pants and Fabulous Pants is the best part of this movie. Fabulous pants is the best part of this movie, is the best part of this movie. So fabulous pants is the best part of this movie. I then, after laughing at Fabulous Pants, uh took a pause for two hours. Well, I had some food, did a bit of work, uh, I looked up at looked at signing up for some uh movie festivals for Dradel of the Dead, but then returned to a scene that said, still, because I'd frozen it, fabulous pants. I did question multiple times if this was a spaghetti western, but having read back since it's actually made in Namibia by idiots. Um not that it's it would have been skewed, it actually would have been an excuse if that English wasn't their second language, much like the spaghetti westerns, where you know the original Django and all of those, you know, for a few dollars more and things like that, where only the the lead few characters were English or American and the rest of them were not. So that whole you know Clint Eastwood Ellie Wallach kind of thing. Um that's an excuse because that means that everybody else could be Italian speaking English phonetically because they couldn't even speak English, whereas here it's there's no fucking excuse. We have suspenseful music, we have intense music, we have constant music, um, as fabulous and his dodgy blonde wig come out of the test maze. So the test was that well, Wes Slipe snipes needs him to help him kill the undead. Because if he shoots them, they just come back. But I would explain to Wes that but for the rest of the movie, you're chopping their heads off when they're not coming back. So, to recap, he is the bastard son of a whore who was saved by the sisters of Santiago, who taught them who taught her the way of the undead. He is put in an orphanage and thrown out when he's a man, taken in by the slaughterhouse owner, a widow. This is the slaughterhouse they live in. Uh the widow has a daughter, he falls in love with a daughter, uh the he the daughter is then raped by the villains and made pregnant with the straggly haired child from the start, a child of rape. Um I did at one point think that maybe Fabulous was this kid, um, but no, they're both there at the same time. So Wes is now hunting the five, uh Red of Rich was one of them and has now been beheaded, so there's only four left. Uh, and then there was the one who had his lips sewn together, he was one of the five too, so he is also dead. Um, and well, well, Wes killed them all at the beginning five years ago in the cell. So that kind of means that the five people who raped his girlfriend were Red, who's dead, uh lips sewn together guy, who's also dead, Cancer, obviously, Cancer's son, um, who hung himself and is currently a mummified corpse, and the whore. So the whore, did she take part in it? I don't know. Back at the gallows, um yeah, back at the gallows. There is some really, really dodgy dubbing, by the way. I mean that again that made me feel like this was Italian and dub because there's this whole dialogue between one of the gallows convicts, the priest, and another convict, and neither of them are actually talking in the scene, they just overdubbed it. Um, and in and at the moment we have a gallows scene now where people are all being hung by cancer when Angel is sobbing heavily, but she's not sobbing on the screen, she's just there, and they've overdubbed her with really intense sobbing, which again very, very bad dubbing. So, skinless freak is cancer, the leader of the rapist, and his son. Um well he hung himself, so didn't get to come back as a zombie, but he doesn't know that. Everyone in the town is bleached blonde with straggly hair, religious nutjobs. I can't want to say they're Mennonites, but that's probably wrong. Um we got so many bad blonde wigs. Really. Um everybody has them, uh including Fabulous and the and the child. Wes is long wig has a long wig as well. Everyone's got a long wig. It's a terrible wig. It's a terrible wig movie. I'm gonna write that down as well. Terrible wig movie akin to a table. The dialogue is atrocious as Wes and Fabulous come back to the farm. Wes says, You eat and sleep now. And Fabulous says, Well, how long have I got? And Wes replies to eat? To sleep or to live? I mean, I thought it was a pretty basic question, how long have I got to eat and sleep, but it turned in turned into a fucking n existential ponderance. And I still had 40 minutes to go and I had no idea where this bag of arse was going. Then I was actually thankful at this point that I had a work call to break it up. And it was a work call I didn't actually need to be on, I was only optional, and it went on for 40 minutes, and I just sat there and and and listened on Teams. So Fabulous and the kid are playing slingshot. The kid is a girl apparently, um, and they're using this slingshot uh to fire stones at a cow skull. Now, uh there's only one reason they would do this stupid scene, it's because the slingshot's gonna come into some sort of use later. And now we have brooding orchestral music at the grave of the kid's mother who died in childbirth. Lots of Wes narration. We have some really, really terrible, bad, handheld, shaky filming. From the grave to him. Uh we then have another flashback, more shitty narration to more shitty music. Back in town, uh the boss, Cancer, and his butcher, who he calls Butcher, are skinning the religious types. Uh so this is where we learn that the undid decay and that under there they wear the hoods because their skin decays, and butch like butcher likes to skin fresh humans and put the skin over his face, whilst the others uh just don't do that and they just end up rotting like jerky underneath their sack cloths. The one in the helmet, helmet head, skillet head, uh skull helmet, whatever it's called, skull bucket, um brings the priest over. Um Angel is who was with Angel earlier in the uh prisoner transport. Cancer says, and I shit you not, right? I this is what Cancer says Forgive me, father, for I have skinned. Really? Yes, that is one of the things for I have skinned. He wants to know the location of the sisters of the s of Santa Cristo. Why? Because he wants to bring his son back from the dead, and he believes that they can do that. The guy from the whale tracks, who was actually one of the guards from the prison that they were in five years ago, arrives with the head of the guy with his mouth sewn up. Uh it's still wiggling about because it's still it's done how it's wiggling. It's the head and it's got the top of the spinal column, and the spinal column is flapping around like it's a snake. Like it wouldn't do. So he's clearly dead, and it's like, Wes, Wes, why do you need someone else to help you kill the zombies when you can clearly just shoot four of them simultaneously and rip their heads off? To which Cancer says, Ah, the gunslinger is back. You never forget the man who kills you the first time. And Jesus wept, this is bad. And so the imaginative imaginatively named Skullbucket and his sack cloth heads are sent to go and kill the gunman. And kill everyone that's with him, which includes uh the the uh the woman, um whose name I never learned, the kid, and fabulous. So the old woman is drunk as a skunk, and the bad guys arrive to tense music as Wes starts blowing off their heads. Genuinely blows two people's heads off with his rifle. Uh he then his horse then gets shot after he rides directly towards them, and whilst they're shooting at him with bullets, he's using a whip on them. Fabulous kills quite a few of them too, but somehow these guys were allowed to dig holes in the farm and then cover those holes with dusty tarpaulin so you you couldn't see them until they jump out. At what point did that happen? These guys were walking around the whole time. Skullbucket bursts into the killing shed where uh the woman and the child and uh and Anthabulus are. He basically sends the woman flying and she is now knocked out. Two of his metal-headed, metal helmeted guys die really quickly. One of them somehow jumped, managed to sneak up to the rafters before jumping down on them. I don't know how he managed to get up to the rafters. Skullbucket chases the little girl uh who hits him in the head with a hammer. Now, the interesting thing about Skullbucket is much like Ned Kelly, the Australian criminal, um, he's wearing this giant bucket on his head, and he's only got this narrow view. That's basically this letterbox view. No peripheral vision at all. What a terrible design for headwear. Uh Bucket Head with his spikes runs into uh Fab uh fabulous. I called him Fabulous. Fabulous. Um so he's gonna bleed to death. Um, but then he ends up fighting Wes hand to hand before um he ends up they both fall through the floor into the maze below uh where he keeps the zombies, but there were no zombies there. He then runs through the court through a uh door that's really weird shaped, and you wonder why. Buckethead puts his head through it, and a guillotine comes down. We then have this ridiculously over-dramatic scene where Skillet Head, Sons' helmet, runs directly at Wes. He's walking away, not paying attention at what's happening behind him. Even though he's just killed about 20 people, he's not paying attention to his surroundings and is walking away slowly. Um as this uh bucket head is running at him with like a dagger in his hand, which is part of the the old helmet, uh, which must have taken the brunt of the um the guillotine, um the kid runs after him, and just before the guy can get to Wes, the kid hits him on the back of the head with a slingshot and he falls to the ground dead. The kid then gives Fabulous uh one of the spike the spike that uh the that skillet had had in his hand, and then Wes shoots Fabulous dead. We get flyover shots of a desert, um scorpions, uh it's clearly not an American desert, and we now know that it's in Namibia. Fabulous is now a zombie, which is basically fabulous, but he's dead and he's got piss yellow eyes. He's like, Why did you shoot me? To which Wes says, Well, you would have just bled to death. Now you're immortal. Fabulous draws uh on Wes, but both his guns have been emptied, and Wes then shows him this by dropping all the bullets in slow motion to the ground, and I would have said at this point, Oh come on, man, I've got to pick those up now, I need them. To which Wes then says, A man might take the news of his death badly. He then laughs and heads off on his horse. As he does, um, we get the next bit of the story, because after being killed, uh the gang in the cells, um we saw that let this is where Wes, after killing them all, is shot in the back, and then by the guy who you know it ends up working for cancer. Um the guy from the trail track train tracks. Um, in an overly shit scene, Wes rides across the desert, falls off the desert, rolls down the sand dune. We see scorpions, um, we see his witch mother making a pact with the devil, sacrificing herself so he comes back from the dead. So now the bad guys are at the entrance to the Sancrit Santa Cristo Mountains where the shrine of the sisters is. They use dynamite to blow a hole in it to get in. Uh they get they're just like they can't use dynamite, they're just rolling down the fucking hill with all these rocks. And Cancer thinks that he can bring his son back from the dead, and and then his son can wear the whore's skin, angel's skin. But then Wes turns up, he kills uh the zombie whore, who basically says, guns or knives. And Wes says, Well, guns, which means it would be more of a a gun slinging contest between he and her, and then as they're he's preparing for a gunfight, she throws a knife at him, which he dodges out the way of and then blows her head off. After blowing her head off, he then tuts, because she cheated. I mean burn, you're tutted at in your own death. And now on the top of the mountain, we have a really, really awful helicopter shot um of Wes as the sun is rested uh up against an altar. Uh the butcher then arrives uh whilst Wes is imagining Angel to be his dead ex-lover. Uh, and uh Wes then shoots the butcher through the forehead. There's lots of shooting through the forehead, and then Cancer arrives and from distance shoots Wes's gun out of his hand, so now he's unarmed. Uh, although he's right-handed. Um, and then as he's about to kill, he says, I need to know where my why my your you didn't bring my son back. I mean, he could have just said, Well, he'd hung himself because he's a coward. That's kind of all that he knows he wants to know. Um, Wes doesn't tell him though, and then Fabulus turns up with a Winchester carbine and another gun, a left-handed gun this time, which is contra contrived because, well, and I don't know why, I don't know why. Wes is wearing his like right-handed uh holster, right? This is where his gun was. And and Fabulus gives him this other holster that's left-handed, he goes, I hope you can fight shoot as well with your left. And he's like, Well, why doesn't he just put the gun in his right holster? And then draw with his right, which is clearly his preferred hand. Oh. Anyway, so the two of them are gonna uh have a gunfight. Uh Wes and Aman is his name is, or A-man, and uh and Cancer, misspelled cancer. We have somber orchestral music. He tells his tells him that his son took his own life. Uh, they have a gun shot gunfight, and Wes shoots uh Cancer straight through the forehead before then ripping his head off again with the dangling um spinal column coming from the bottom of it. Angel then cozies up to Fabulous and asks, because she did, or he cosied up to her when we first met them right at the beginning when they were prisoners, waiting for the uh the the carriage to take them to the gallows. Um, because she he she kind of asks him what kind of man he is, and she does the same thing here. Now they're gonna go their own way, and Wes is gonna go his own way, and Fab F Fabulous asks, I d says, I don't know how to be I don't know how to be dead. And then Wes says and this is the last line of the movie, well no one told you how to live. Jesus fucking Christ. That was the end and genuinely this movie is this movie was so bad that I actually needed to look up that maybe Uve Ball had made it. But it's got awful writing, some of the worst dialogue I've ever seen in my life, some of the worst shot choices I've ever seen in cinema. Um a terrible nonsensical plot. I mean I've just made more sense of it to so just so I can explain it to you. I don't want you being confused. And it the only thing it didn't have was these uh Uve Ball levels of sexual violence against women and depravity, even though there is a rape scene, you don't really see it as a rape scene. Um this is just an example of how and it's a sad example and t of that of just how far Wesley Snipes fell during that period where he was having tax issues. So this movie, um Gallo Walkers originally started being made as The Wretched with Charion Fat in 2006, they started making it in 2008 in Namibia with Wesley Snipes, uh, and then it took six years to come out properly, never got a cinematic release. Thank god it would have lost money. Um yeah, it's awful. This is awful, this is actually less entertaining than the Barbadan uh After the Silence that I watched yesterday. Uh so therefore, because this is actually worse, I'm gonna give it a worse score. So, uh Gallow Walkers, all one word, oh god, all one word. Uh with Wesley Snipes from 2012, stroke 2013, although they started it in 2008, I'm gonna give you two point five out of ten.
