Prayer:
Lord, please help us to connect with your heart through the Holy Spirit. Father, help us to build up our faith by praying and listening to the promptings of your voice. Show us how to stay in community with other believers and avoid drifting away from prayer and community. May your agenda be our priority and take advantage of meeting with you constantly. Thank you for leading our lives in relationship with you daily in prayer. In Christ Jesus' name, Amen.

This scripture reminds us to build ourselves up in our most holy faith. Pray consistently to develop your prayer life with the Lord. 

1. The Context of Contrast: Before this verse, Jude describes chaotic, divisive "scoffers" who do not heed the Holy Spirit's promptings. But Jude draws a sharp line. He tells the Church to act differently (to be set apart) from the culture around them. A call to identify, addressing them as "beloved" or (dear friends), reminds them that they are deeply loved by God and secure in him. This gives the believer a firm foundation to build from.

2. Building Yourself Up: To build yourself up in your most holy faith, you must be active, shared construction: this phase is plural. It talks about the community of believers building each other up in faith, the word of God, positive affirmations, and encouraging spiritual accountability. A continual spiritual practice of growth and discernment. 

3. Praying in the Holy Spirit: Praying in the holy spirit doesn't mean physical movement, posture, or theatrical display; rather, it is a drawing of God's Spirit with our inner spirit. It simply means to pray under the leading voice and power of God. Aligning with God's will for your life. It stands in contrast to selfish endeavors or prayers. When we pray to God, we are yielding our thoughts and desires to him.

 When we pray in the Holy Spirit, we are trusting entirely in God to align our request with his heart. Especially when you are too weak or tired to know what to say. Jude 1:20 teaches us the importance of the guidance of the Holy Spirit and that he is our best defense against confusion, toxic influences, and spiritual drift. Rather than spending idle time being a faultfinder, allow Christ to strengthen your faith in prayer and relationship with God the Father. Christians are instructed to focus inward and upward, glorifying God's name in truth and yielding to his guidance to lift others in most holy faith (Go Serve, global).
