The most honest launches don’t start on a stage—they start in a closet with a heartbeat and a yes. We’re opening the door to The Girlfriend Edit, a warm-up season where we test, tinker, and tell the truth about faith, family, calling, and leadership without the gloss. After stepping away from podcasting and shedding old gear, we’re rebuilding from the ground up—with you. That means real moments, quick-start energy, and a lot of “me too” along the way as we ask what God is doing right now and how we can follow with courage.

Across this short pre-launch, we share why letting go can be holy, how pruning makes room for the present assignment, and what it looks like to lead at home and in ministry without losing your voice. We talk about listening for the Holy Spirit’s nudge, acting before everything is perfect, and trusting that unpolished beginnings can carry surprising power. If you’ve missed the inner circle feel—a small table where honest questions live—pull up a chair. We’re reconnecting with friends from past coaching and teaching seasons and inviting fresh voices to the conversation so the future show reflects real needs, not just our outline.

You’ll hear laughter, quiet confession, and the reminder that God is still writing the story, even when the setting is a makeshift studio and the plan is still forming. We’re asking for your help to shape the coming launch: colors, music, and the topics you want most—calling, leadership, Scripture rhythms, seasons of change, and the courage to begin again. Hit follow, share your ideas, and walk with us as we build a mission-minded podcast that serves the moments you’re living right now. If this resonates, subscribe, leave a review, and tell a friend who needs a nudge to start where they are.

SPEAKER_00:

Hey girl, I'm Christy Trahan. And before the full Born for This podcast launches, we're doing something special, something a little more personal. It's called Born for This, the girlfriend edit. Think of it like our preseason before the big game, our warm-up, the catch up, the behind the scenes. It's me and you talking about what God is doing right now. You know, I'm a quick start. I when I get an idea, when I feel inspired of the Holy Spirit, I'm like, yes, let's go. This is the real life stuff. The faith and family, the calling, the leadership, the beautiful things in between, the things we've had to let go of, the things that God is doing now. And listen, this isn't polished or perfect, girl. I am in my closet. Yes. I for real. Like literally. I don't know if you can hear my clothes. I am in my closet because I didn't think I was coming back to podcasting. It'd been a long time since I'd done it. I got rid of my mic and all my other things. So this isn't polished. This coffee table conversation meets, you know, God's still working on me. So maybe we'll laugh. We might cry. We're definitely going to have some of those, oh my goodness, me too, kind of moments. And as we get ready to launch the Born for This Living on Mission in Every Season podcast, I'm going to ask you to help me shape it because it's for you. It's from me for you. I miss you guys in Inner Circle. I miss those ladies that have taken preach girl over the last five years. And I wanted to do something where we could get back together. We could catch up. We could be there for each other. Encouragement and leadership and the word of God. So I got a favor, if you wouldn't mind, just hit follow and come with me. Because before the big launch, I need your help. I need, I need you to help me pick out some colors and some music. And we're gonna, I'm gonna ask you about topics and those kinds of things. We've got a few real unfiltered chats to have first, girl. A lot of stuff has changed in my life. So welcome to the Born for This girlfriend edit, where we remember that God is still. He's such a good God. He is still writing our story. And you, my girl, you were born for this.
