This is a Spotlight on the Scriptures: John 13:3-5 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

Heaven’s King stooped low. Jesus—the Son of God, the Lion of Judah, the Lord of Glory—wrapped a towel around his waist and got down on his knees. He washed the dust-covered feet of men who should’ve been washing his. Why? Because he didn’t come to be served—he came to serve (Mark 10:45). And now, that same spirit of servanthood? That same posture of humility? That same call to kneel before the needs of others? The Lord is calling youmeus all to walk in it.
