Hey everyone and welcome back to my podcast. If you are new here, my name is Barb and you're listening to Spirits, Witches, and Demons. I'm just popping on. I know it's the second week in a row for this, but I am running late for something, so I need to skidaddle. But I did want to throw something out for you that will at least entertain you for a little bit. Um, because later today the episode is actually going to drop. So I don't want you to be despaired or anything like that. You're or maybe you came here late and you see two and you're like, what the fuck? Um, yeah, so that's the reason. I want to just um say that I'm just gonna pop on right now, kind of give you a little intro so that you don't miss out. You're not like maybe you're one of those that wait right at the drop time and you're like, why isn't it dropping yet? Oh my god, what's happening? Is it coming today? Yeah, yeah, it is. It's coming later. But um this one will be the prefix to the whole show. Uh, I have a friend coming over later, and we're going to do some witchcraft together, and we're going to read cards, and I'm going to put on the recorder and record our time together so you all can be a part of it. Um, I think we'll have some really cool conversations as well. Uh, one of the conversations I wanted to start today with you right now is the history of the number 666. Because in my mind, what I'm trying to do for myself and the people around me is kind of change the narrative as to what exactly pentagram and 666 and witchcraft and evil and what the actual true truth is behind all of it. Do I know it? Hell no. That's why I'm learning with you. That's why we're on this journey together. I don't know shit. I have opinions, of course, we all do, but I don't know the actual truth behind it. That's kind of what dives me deeply into ghost hunting, investigations. I don't like to call it ghost hunting. I'm not hunting anything, but I'm investigating it. Uh and investigating is really a very light term. I'm not a detective, I don't have any credentials, so to speak. Um, but I do enjoy gathering evidence and trying to formulate a story as to what possibly is true. And then I do research and I see if I can make anything that I've found investigating correlate to actual written documents. Does that make sense? Like I I don't just go out and say, oh, the number 666 is the number of the beast because it was written in the Bible and blah blah blah, and then some rock singers su sung about it, so everybody believes it in satanic panic. No, no, guys. Uh I don't. I don't I don't buy into it. Um I never have. I've never been one to say, ooh, stay away from the 666. That's an evil number. Ooh, I can't have that number. Uh the 13th floor is unlucky. Uh I'm not I'm not a superstitious person. Um I don't buy into that shit. If you do, hey, whatever. We all have our things, but I don't. And I think that's the logical scientific side of my brain that is like, huh? How does a number relate directly to Satan? I don't get it. I don't understand it. Please explain it to me. Where did this come from? So I kind of want to dive into that a little bit. I did pull up a little bit of research. Now, did I go and do like um uh what is it called? Um, like I didn't source out peer evaluated journals or whatever, you know, the university kind of shit. I did not go and dive that deep into it, guys. If you want to do that, feel free. I personally do not have the brain with the the mind with the the capacity right now or ever to do that. I like to just look at the information, see if it makes sense to me, and I trust my intuition. 100%, thousand percent, million percent, trust my intuition. If I read something and I'm like, eh, what? I might dive a little deeper and see, does that make sense? Just like AI generated bullshit out there. Okay, this is a tangent, and I'm sorry, but I need to go down this rabbit hole right now with you. I've seen as a pagan witch, I've seen on my local witch forums, some of my local witches say, and I'm sure y'all have seen this too, a true witch, a true witch, does not believe in or entertain generative, I think I'm saying that word right, generative AI. Like chat GPT and AI uh posters and AI material in any form. And I sit there and I look at these comments and I'm like, I'm a true witch, I'm fucking powerful, I I own my shit, and I use chat GPT. I might use chat GPT to write a fucking spell. Why? Because it's AI and it's easy and it is fun. Why do we have to zap the fun out of shit? Okay, I'm not even gonna dive into the um the whatchamacallit, the the footprint of it all. Because yes, we've talked about that before. Yes, there is a footprint, yes, you have to use it with you know that mindset. But here's my thought on that, guys. And again, I'm not filling up my bandwidth with all this knowledge. I literally just look at something. If it makes sense to me in my intuitive nature, then it makes sense to me. Does it make me right? Hell no. Half the time? No, nope, and I'm willing to say that and I'm willing to learn, okay? But what I've seen kind of equates in my brain to cars. Like historic, since the birth of cars, uh, motor vehicles, if you will, um, since they came out on the market, they've used gasoline or diesel, and they use oil, and they their emissions are that was the word I was looking for. Their emissions are substantial, they cause environmental impact, all these things, right? But do we stop using cars? Has the car industry suffered? Not really. The price of gas has gone through the roof, oil has gone through the roof. Have we stopped driving? Eh, we might have limited it. We may have uh um made sure that our weekly chore list is done in an order that we utilize our vehicle most efficiently. Um, yeah, okay, so we may think about things a little bit more. We may want to be more economical about it, but do we stop using it because of its environmental impact? The answer is for the masses, for those that are highly sensitive or and not sensitive in a Karen situation, okay? I'm not saying that, but sensitive in they truly, truly care, and that is their thing, and they truly want to do more for the environment and whatever, they may switch to an electric vehicle, they may, you know, want to participate in um education and all kinds of resources to help people understand. Great, great. We need all these people in the world. We need people who utilize the product, we need people who understand the product, and we need people who want to do better by the product. So that was a long tangent to say that's how I think of AI. AI is here to stay. AI, I will use, oh, I just hit the mic, sorry. I will use AI in the ways I see fit. Do I overuse it? Do I use it to help me on a daily task? Or if I have a question, or maybe I want to see how a photo would look. I'm a chunky girl. I kind of wanted to see the other day how it looked not so chunky. Um, so I used AI. Man, it was motivational, I have to say. So I kept that photo. Um, I'm not going to use it to do harmful things, okay? So I'm not going to abuse the feature. So when I see these things by local witches who say a true witch would not use generative AI, I'm like, fuck you. Who are you to dictate what a true witch is? Just like who is anyone to dictate what 666 is? Is it a number of the beast? Or is it an angel number? Or is it none of the above? What is it? So I want to dive into that a little bit more. That's the topic I'm hoping to have a discussion with my friend over because we're both witches, we both have really strong opinions one way or another. Do we agree all the time? No, no, and that's the beautiful thing of a friendship like that is that we can have an open discussion. She can have strong opinions one way, I can have strong opinions the other, and we can still be friends and talk about it. What do you call that? Adulthood? Not being a bitch, you know? Um, so I love that. And I love that she's willing to have conversations with the mic on. Okay, so we're going to do that. I'm going to uh close this off here. I'm going to leave that as a little tickle for you. And hopefully we'll have a conversation and we'll get it. If you don't see another drop today, I'm sorry. It either went really long and I couldn't get it uploaded, or or we just couldn't have that conversation because of one thing or another. And I will, oh my god, I keep hitting the mic. And I will actually do the conversation with you myself at another time and post it for the next week. But all in all, I wanted to come on. I wanted to start the conversation with you. I did want to leave you hanging because I love you guys. I really do. I really, really, really, really do. And right now it is 9 42 a.m. I am drinking my first cup of coffee because my puppies let me sleep in this morning. I love them too. And now I got to go get ready and leave for the day. I have to go get a pedicure. Yes, I love getting my feet all pretty, and it's been months, okay? They do not look pretty. Um, and then I am going to a birthday party for a 75-year-old. Because 75 is the new 50. And 50, which is me, is the new 30. Let's let's let's yeah. We're we're gonna say that because my back feels like it's 80, but my mind feels like it's 20. So 80 plus 20 is 100 divided oh shit, I'm still 50. Damn, that didn't work. Fuck. Okay, anyway. I'm gonna go now, guys. I've taken up enough of my own time. But I that conversation, we will have that. We will have that 666. We'll talk about it because I have deep, deep, deep opinions and thoughts about 666.
