#109 Rino Betti, Sam's Sandwiches
In a flashback episode, Mark at the Mic visited "Sandwich Czar" Rino Betti for a fun conversation on how Rino and his long time companion and wife June built an iconic Burlingame sandwich shop, named "Sam's," which was in business for 38 years. Rino talks of the origins of the shop, shares his famous sandwich dressing, announces that he was the creator of "Cheese Please" on the corner of Burlingame Ave and Calif. He also remembers with sentiment how his loyal customers came to his aid with a "go fund me" account created by Cathy Baylock and Russ Cohen to help him move from his Calif Dr location to "The Depot" on Howard Ave. A wonderful walk down memory lane.
