BONUS Episode 36: Nicaragua Trip Recap feat. Kami Reeves
SURPRISE! Welcome to our special bonus episodes of The Now Life. Back in March our church (Desert Springs Community Church) sent a team of 10 adults led by Pastor Jamie Engram to serve with our missionaries Wade + Shannon Cooperrider in Nicaragua. They led a VBS, shared testimonies and sermons, handed out flyers, swam in a volcano lake, and even sang a special music song in Spanish. Most importantly, they got to see God work in some amazing ways as they and the team at La Paz Centro worked together to share the gospel with their community. All told, they had 120 kids on the last day of VBS that heard the gospel and have heard of six that made professions of faith. Shawn wanted to take some time to talk with a few of their team members to hear about their experience and how they saw God work.
Something exciting to mention is that Shawn will be leading another team to Nicaragua in September 2024! There will be an info meeting at DSCC on May 5th at 12:30pm in Room 211. You can email caryn@dscchurch.com with any questions.
