Luke 2:41-52
This week's events were not political. They were not fueled by motives of political propaganda. It was fueled by evil and pure demonic. We can articulate that it was because of politics, but let's be real, it wasn't. It was because the gospel was preached, and if you say it was political, you need to examine your own heart because you have missed it. I'm not big on public figures, and you all know this. But there is no doubt in my heart and in my mind that he was shot for speaking the truth of the Gospel. This isn't a gun control problem, it's not a gender nor race problem. This is the church needs to find Jesus problem.
1. This morning, I first want to challenge the elders: Find Jesus. Find Jesus in all that you do, in each decision you make; find Jesus in it. Before you say yes or no, make sure first and foremost that Jesus is the top priority of that message.
