Last week, I told you that 2026 was the year of the mission statement. Today, I'm going to show you exactly how to find yours using your astrology chart because the answer is already there. You don't need to make something up.
You don't need to guess. Your chart has already mapped it all out for you. What you're here to do and how you are meant to do it in your business. So, I'm going to show you the two points in your chart that make your mission crystal clear. Welcome back. I'm Sophia Pallas. Let's dive in.
So, quick recap as to why this matters. Last week, we talked about Saturn and Neptune in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, Jupiter moving into Leo. All of these transits are demanding mission clarity from you in 2026.
But I don't want you to write a mission statement just because you know the astrology says it's a good idea. I want you to understand what problem this actually solves in your business because this isn't like a corporate exercise. This is something much more practical than that and it can be used in a business of any size.
Here's what I see all the time with the entrepreneurs that I work with. They have a dozen ideas, a dozen skills, a dozen things that they could do. And because they don't have a clear sense of what they're actually here to do, their deeper purpose, their mission, they can't figure out which ones to commit to. So they say yes to opportunities that pull them off track. Not because those opportunities are necessarily bad, but because they don't have a filter for what's aligned and what's not, for what's getting them where they want to go, then they lose momentum because they're building, but they're not quite sure what they're building towards or what they're building in service of. So when a big decision comes up, a new collaboration, a pivot, a rebrand, they agonize over it because they don't have anything to anchor it to.
This is where you're going to be different. You are going to be able to figure this out for yourself after listening or watching this episode. And I want to draw an important distinction here before we move on. A mission statement is not the same as a positioning statement. Your positioning is about who you serve, what you offer, and how you are different. That is also important for your messaging, for your marketing, all of that good stuff. But that's a different conversation.
Today, we are talking about something bigger than that. The why underneath everything. It's your northstar. It's what keeps you grounded when the market shifts, when trends change, when someone else's business model looks tempting. and possibly you've already tried to write one before and haven't gotten very far. And that's why I'm going to show you how to do it really simply and easily today.
So, the two points in your chart that I believe reveal your mission are your midheaven or MC as it's also known and your Mars. Now, your midheaven or your MC is that highest point in your chart. I do have other another episode on the midheaven that you can check out if you want a bit more information.
The midheaven is the highest point in the chart. It shows you what you're here to be known for. It shows you your public reputation, your professional life. It shows you the answer to the question, what am I here to contribute to the world? Your Mars shows how you take action. It's your drive, your energy, your motivation, your implementation style. It's how you execute and how you make things happen. So when you put these these two things together, your MC tells you what you're here to do and your Mars tells you how you're here to do it. And when you understand both of those placements in your astrology chart in a business context, your mission statement practically writes itself.
Now, this is not to take away from the complexity of your overall astrology chart, which shows so many more things about you. But if we want to focus in on the mission, these two points can give us some real easy quick clarity.
So let me show you an example with my own chart and then I'll give you a couple of client examples as well. So I have my midheaven or MC in Aquarius and Mars in Libra. So my Aquarius MC means I'm here to challenge the conventional way of doing things. My legacy is about bringing fresh, unconventional approaches to how people build their businesses. I'm not here to hand you a cookie cutter formula. I'm here to help you find a way that is different, that is specific to you, a way that actually fits you, that's outside, takes you outside of the current boxes, and helps you to restructure in a way that's going to work for you. Mars in Libra means I take action through collaboration and strategy. Mars in Libra is not in its favorite position. You know, Mars in Libra cannot go off and charge into things like it can perhaps in Aries. But in Libra, it is strategic and it is collaborative. It has to be in order to get things done. So, I'm not someone who bulldo who who bulldozes through or tells you what to do. I work with you. I think things through to balance all of the issues before we take action, before we move. So when I put those two things together, my mission statement is that I help entrepreneurs to build their businesses in unconventional ways through strategic collaborative partnership. And you will see that reflected in my messaging and my marketing. That is my MC and my Mars working together as the core mission of my business. Innovation and collaboration. Those two things together. Astrology is just the tool that I use to deliver on this mission. It's how I bring the unconventional part to life particularly. That's how I do business in an unconventional way. Right? I use astrology which is not a mainstream tool in business.
So when you understand this about your chart and your mission, everything else starts to become clearer because you have this anchor point. Okay, I'm here to do things differently and I'm here to do things collaboratively. I'm here to help people see their business differently. Then that becomes a filter for whatever opportunity I might take on in my business. Is this helping or is this facilitating my mission? Is this allowing me to to do business differently or show people how to do their business in their authentic or their their you know out of the box way and is it collaborative? Those are the two criteria I have to think of whenever I'm presented with an opportunity.
So let me give you some client examples here. So a client of mine has the midheaven in Leo and Mars also in Leo. So this client runs a personal brand in the health and fitness space. She has her she has her mid heaven in Leo and her Mars in Leo. And that means with that midheaven that she is here to be visible to to lead something to inspire through her own authentic selfexpression. Her legacy involves stepping into the spotlight and showing people what's possible when you own who you are. Okay. there's something that that needs to come through in her business about her authentic self and showing up as that authentic self being visible in some capacity shining a light on that. Mars in Leo means she has to take bold, courageous, visible action and she has to take it from the heart because Leo is a very heart-c centered energy. She leads by being the example. She is on display here.
So her mission statement would be something like I inspire others to transform their bodies and their lives by leading boldly and showing up as the example. And she's using that Leo energy there. So her MC says lead and inspire. Mars says do it courageously and from the heart. So you can hear how those two placements combine directly into the mission. So what we realized when we looked at her chart was that she had been hiding behind her brand instead of being the face of it. And her chart was literally asking her to step forward. And once she saw that, she completely shifted how she showed up. And everything about the business was able to transform in a way that worked better for her. And that's what I want you to remember about this too. This is the anchor of your business. Once you understand this, everything else can kind of shift and change to kind of sit on top of that and allow that mission to work in more powerful ways.
So, another example, I have a client with a natural beauty brand who has her midheaven in Scorpio and Mars in Gemini. This example is an interesting one because in the way that I do astrology, traditional astrology, Mars also rules that mid heaven. So, Mars is very strong in her work. Her Scorpio MC or midheaven means she is here to facilitate deep transformation in some way. She's not here to sell surface level products. Her legacy is about helping people change how they see themselves really. You know that that transformation on a deeper level through skincare is the tool that she uses to do that right. It's not the mission itself. Just like I use astrology as a tool, it's not the mission. The mission is to show people how to do things differently in their business. The tool is astrology, right? I just wanted to show you that those that's a separate piece. You know, that would go into your positioning statement, right? Back to the mission. So, this client with the Scorpio midheaven, she's here to facilitate deep transformation, not here to sell surface level products. Her legacy is about helping people change how they see themselves. going beneath the surface to find something more profound in themselves. And Mars in Gemini, while that might seem like those two signs are a bit at odds, Scorpio and Gemini, Mars in Gemini actually means she takes action through communication, through connecting the dots for people, through education, through making complex ideas accessible, through showing up across multiple platforms and touch points. social media being one of those key places where she shows up to help educate people and to move them through this to help them to understand this. So her mission statement is I facilitate deep transformation by communicating powerful beauty practices in accessible engaging ways. The what she's here for is to to facilitate deep transformation and the how she's here to do it is by communicating powerful beauty practices in accessible engaging ways. this is the foundation for all of her business regardless of the brand, right? Because some people have multiple businesses or multiple brands. And so this mission statement helps anchor you in amongst that in amongst all of the businesses that you might have or you know various streams of income that you might have in your business. What is the the anchoring mission there? And when she had that clarity, everything around it then started to shift. We're not just talking about the products. We're actually talking about the deep shift that's happening for you in the way that you see yourself or happening for her customers in the way that they see themselves.
This is where we get really practical. Once you have your mission statement, you can see your MC and your Mars working together. It becomes your filter for every opportunity that comes your way. Think about my client with Leo MC and Leo Mars. Her mission is to lead boldly and be the example. So when someone asks her to do something behind the scenes where she's invisible, she can say that's not my lane right now. That doesn't mean it's a bad opportunity. It's just not her opportunity because she needs to be visible. And you know, you can refer back to also my other episodes on timing to see why, particularly for someone whose mission is to be visible and when they are also having a visibility transit, why that would be even more important for them to stay in their lane and just do the thing, the mission that they're here to do. My client with a Scorpio MC in Gemini Mars, her mission, deep transformation through accessible communication. So when she's tempted to launch a surface level product line just because other people in the beauty industry are doing it, she has the answer. That's not what she's here for. She's not here for mainstream beauty products. She's here for something deeper than that. The product has to reflect the mission. What is the deeper transformation she is facilitating through this product?
Okay. So this is what a mission statement gives you. It is not a pretty sentence, not just a pretty sentence for your website. It is a decision-making tool. Okay? Should I take on this client? Does this align with my mission? Should I launch this offer? Does this serve my mission? Should I say yes to this podcast, this collaboration, this pivot? Does it move my mission forward? When you have that clarity, you stop agonizing. You stop second-guessing. You stop building things that were never yours to be built. So, your chart has the same level of clarity waiting for you. When you know your MC and your Mars and you understand them in a business context, your mission becomes obvious.
This is why you can't just copy someone else's business model and cross your fingers and hope it works for you. Their chart is different from yours. Their mission is different from yours. Your MC and Mars are showing you the way forward that's actually aligned with who you are. Once you have that locked in, your positioning, your messaging, your offers, all of that becomes so much easier to figure out because now you have something to anchor it to.
So, you can look up your MC and Mars yourself. And I encourage you to go and have a look at a free site like astro-seek.com and pop in your birth data and and have a look at those positions. It will give you a interpretation there as well. but interpreting them in a business context that is a little bit more nuanced and that's exactly what we do in a Cosmic Business Strategy Session. So we'll look at your MC and your Mars and other key points in your chart. We translate that into a clear mission statement and that becomes the basis of your business strategy that actually feels aligned and clear because when you are working with your chart instead of against it potentially instead of against it, you have a clear way forward.
And for 2026 with Saturn, Neptune in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, Jupiter moving into Leo, this clarity isn't optional. If you don't have clarity, you are likely to get pulled off into different directions that you don't want to be in or you're likely to go off without proper information, without, you know, have a strategy that's halfcocked. You don't want that in your business.
