148. Giants, Hybrids & Megaliths: Uncovering Biblical Truths Behind Myth and Mystery
Have you ever wondered why the Bible mentions giants repeatedly, yet most Sunday school lessons skip right over it? Welcome to an eye-opening exploration of Scripture's supernatural side—the parts many churches sanitize or ignore.
Giants aren't fantasy in the Bible—they're documented reality. From Genesis 6:4 describing the Nephilim (offspring of fallen angels and human women) to Deuteronomy's account of Og whose bed measured over 13 feet long, Scripture speaks plainly about these beings. When the Israelite spies encountered giants in Canaan, they reported feeling "like grasshoppers" in comparison. These weren't just tall humans—they were something else entirely.
The parallels between these biblical accounts and worldwide mythology are striking. Every ancient culture tells remarkably similar stories of "gods," giants, and hybrid beings who influenced humanity. What if Greek myths about Titans, Norse legends about Jotuns, and similar stories worldwide aren't fictional inventions but distorted memories of real events? The Bible's narrative of fallen angels corrupting creation provides a framework that explains these global similarities.
Even more compelling are the megalithic structures scattered across our planet. From the precision-cut stones at Baalbek to the pyramids of Egypt and the impossible engineering feats at Sacsayhuamán in Peru, these monuments defy conventional explanation. Did primitive humans really move and place 200-ton stones with perfect precision using rope and wooden rollers? Or is there a missing piece to human history—perhaps involving knowledge or abilities from these Nephilim beings?
Jesus himself said that end times would mirror "the days of Noah," a period characterized by these very entities and their corruption of creation. As we witness modern transhumanism and attempts to blend humanity with technology, these ancient accounts take on fresh relevance. What was will be again.

Hello and welcome back to the Radiant Mission podcast. My name is Rebecca Toomey and we are in a series called Coffee Talk, and this is a place where we are exploring faith and we are rooting it through God's word. Today's episode is one that pushes the boundaries of what most Christians were ever taught in Sunday school, but it's right there in the Bible. If you are willing to look in the Bible, if you are willing to look, we're going to be diving into giants in scripture, megalithic structures around the world, hybrid creatures, ancient mythology, the Nephilim and the possibility that humanity's earliest history may not be as mythical as you were told. Could the ancient texts and cultural myths that we have dismissed as fiction actually point to real hidden history that the Bible confirms? Let's dive right in y'all. So first, the Bible talks about giants a lot. Yep, it's undeniable. The Bible speaks very plainly about giants, starting in Genesis 6, 4, where it says there were giants in the earth in those days and also afterward, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men and they bear children to them. These sons of God, or bene? Elohim, are understood by many scholars to be fallen angels, as we have discussed in previous episodes, and their offspring with human women were called the Nephilim, and they were a race of giants. So this is not the only place where giants appear. In Numbers 13.33, we saw the Nephilim there. We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes and we looked the same to them. Deuteronomy 3.11 speaks of Og, king of Bashan, who was the last Rephaim, a giant whose bed was over 13 feet long. The idea that there were once giant humans or hybrid beings is not fictional. It is in the Bible. So let's talk about that.
Speaker 1:Mythology may be. Have you ever wondered why nearly every ancient culture, from the Greeks to the Egyptians to the Sumerians, tell stories of quote little g-gods, giants, monsters and hybrid beings? Maybe it's because they weren't making it up? Maybe it's because these cultures were describing real events through their lens of understanding the Greek gods. We have talked about this in past episodes. Many believe that these little g gods may have been Nephilim, powerful supernatural hybrids who were worshipped by humans. So think of a half-human creature like a centaur or satyrs, or even mermaids. These might have been real genetic abominations, the result of fallen angels corrupting creation. Jude 1, 6-7 describes angels who, quote, abandoned their proper dwelling and were judged for gross immorality. And the book of Enoch, which we discussed in episode 146, it expands on this as well, and it reveals how fallen angels not only sinned with women but also taught humanity dark knowledge like sorcery, enchantments, astrology, abortion and warcraft.
Speaker 1:This theme of heavenly beings corrupting creation appears in many cultures. And what if these myths are memories? They're distorted over time, but they're rooted in real history, something that builds on this megalithic structures. They are enormous stone structures, like the pyramids that are in Egypt, baalbek in Lebanon, stonehenge or excuse my pronunciation here but Sacsayhuaman in Peru. These stones weigh hundreds of tons and many were placed with precision that we still can't replicate today. So did primitive humans really move these? Did they really fit these perfectly cut stones with no cranes, no wheels or modern tools? Or is there something missing from the official narrative?
Speaker 1:Some believe that giants, nephilim, or advanced knowledge from fallen angels were involved in this. The Bible says the Nephilim were on the earth not only before the flood, but, quote, also afterward, suggesting they continue to influence human civilization. So leads us to the big question why is this not talked about or taught in church? There's a tendency that I have noticed in modern Christianity to sanitize the Bible, to skip over the supernatural parts and make everything safe and sensible, but the Bible is a supernatural book. God alone is supernatural, and the Bible talks about giants, demons, angels, hybrid offspring and God's divine judgment on corrupted creation. These are not side topics, you guys. They are central to the understanding of the flood, the conquest of Canaan and even end times prophecy conquest of Canaan and even end times prophecy. The book of Enoch that we have already discussed, while it's not included in our modern Bible, was quoted by Jude and was well known by early Christians, and it even names some of these fallen angels and details of their sins, like Azazel, who taught men to make weapons, and Semjaza, the leader of the 200 who descended on Mount Hermon.
Speaker 1:Could this be the knowledge that was buried, both literally and figuratively, to keep us from understanding our own history and spiritual reality? It's a question, and you might be asking why does any of this matter? Well, here's why I think that it matters. It affirms that the Bible is historically and spiritually accurate, even when it seems wild. It reminds us that the spiritual war is real and ancient. It opens our eyes to how Satan has tried to corrupt God's creation since the beginning, and it prepares us to better discern modern deception, including false gods, transhumanism and attempts to blend technology and humanity in unnatural ways.
Speaker 1:What was will be again, just like in the days of Noah. In Matthew 24, 37, it says as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of man. The days of Noah were filled with wickedness, violence and Nephilim. Could those days be returning? I don't think we're far off. As we close today, remember that this is not fringe theory. It is ancient truth hidden in plain sight.
Speaker 1:So if this episode stirred something up in you, do not be afraid to dig deeper. Ask God for discernment, read the scriptures with fresh eyes and don't be afraid of the hard questions, because the Bible does have answers. Some reflection questions for today. Have I skipped over the supernatural topics in the Bible because they felt too strange? What if cultural myths are rooted in real biblical events? Am I open to learning what scripture really says, even if it challenges what I was taught? This episode may have stretched your imagination, but the deeper we go into the scripture, the more we see that truth is often stranger and more powerful than fiction.
Speaker 1:And next week we're going to go even deeper. In episode 149, we are going to explore the days of Noah, the rise of the watchers, the corruption of mankind and what it means that the Nephilim were on the earth in those days and also afterward. We are going to look at Genesis 6, the book of Enoch and other clues that reveal a time of intense spiritual warfare and hybrid offspring and ask whether history is repeating itself today. You are not going to want to miss that one. Until then, stay curious, stay rooted in God's word and keep seeking truth.
