149. As in the Days of Noah: Nephilim, Watchers, & the Coming Deception

What if the story of Noah goes far deeper than animals and a flood? Noah wasn't just morally righteous—he was "blameless in his generation," potentially indicating his family maintained genetic purity when most of humanity had become corrupted through Nephilim bloodlines.

Most alarming are the parallels to our current age. Jesus specifically warned that end times would mirror "the days of Noah," and today we witness unprecedented genetic experimentation, transhumanism, spiritual deception through UFO narratives and neo-paganism, and rampant sexual corruption. The technological capabilities we now possess make previously unimaginable violations of created boundaries suddenly possible. Could the great deception warned about in Scripture involve a modern return of these same entities or practices?

This knowledge isn't meant to provoke fear but awareness. By understanding what truly happened in Noah's day, we develop discernment for recognizing deception and remaining faithful in increasingly challenging times. Hello and welcome back to the Radiant Mission Podcast. My name is Rebecca Twomey and today we are diving in to a topic that is both ancient and incredibly relevant at the same time what really happened in the days of Noah and could it be happening again? This episode continues our deep dive series through Enoch, genesis 6, spiritual corruption and what Jesus meant when he said as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the son of man in Matthew 24, 37. So let's kick this off by talking about what was happening on earth in the days of Noah. To understand the days of Noah, we have to look beyond just the ark and the animals.

According to Genesis 6, the quote sons of God, which is understood by many scholars and ancient Jewish texts, like Enoch to be fallen angels. Like Enoch to be fallen angels, they took human women as wives and had children by them, and these children became what is known as the Nephilim. They were giant hybrid beings of immense power and wickedness. But Enoch and other texts suggest that it went even further. The Watchers, which are those specific fallen angels, taught humans sorcery, astrology, weapon making and seduction. They corrupted every corner of society, from war and beauty to medicine and nature. There are even suggestions that they attempted to mix species, not just human and angel, but human and animal. This may connect with mythologies half human, half animal creatures like centaurs and mermaids and some scholars believe that this crossbreeding and genetic tampering may have reached non-human life too. This isn't that far-fetched, you guys. Think about what is going on today and this scientific curiosity and the things that you're seeing happen in the background. If you were to just do a quick Google search on animal experimentation in humans and human DNA, you're going to see some of this stuff happening now. But what else was going on? Sodom and Gomorrah was likely unfolding around this same era a time of unchecked sexual perversion, rampant violence and societal rot, as we could say.

But before we move on to some of that, I want to touch a little bit more on the Watchers and their names and sins, because I find this to be pretty interesting. In previous episodes I have mentioned Azazel and Samjoza, and those are in the Book of Enoch and listed as other watchers. Here a few more Kokabel taught astrology. Penemus taught writing wisdom and the corrupting power of ink and paper. Khazdija taught abortive methods to women, so abortion. Gadrael introduced warfare and weapons. And these angels didn't just fall, they infiltrated and rewired human society. Enoch 69 lays out their names and their crimes, and it's deeply disturbing and eerily familiar when you consider our world today. Let's pause for a second on Khazdija, who taught the smiting of the embryo in the womb, which is abortion. This aligns with what we see today an institutional push for abortion and child sacrifice disguised as healthcare and freedom.

These were not minor infractions. These watchers altered creation itself physically, spiritually and morally. Altered creation itself physically, spiritually and morally. So why was Noah spared?

Genesis 6-9 says Noah was blameless in his generation. That word, blameless, which is the Hebrew word tamlim, can refer not only to moral integrity but also genetic purity. Some scholars suggest that Noah's bloodline had not been corrupted by Nephilim DNA. His family may have been among the last remaining groups not to be tainted by this hybrid invasion. They were chosen because they walked with God and maintained a pure lineage. They weren't perfect, but they were faithful and uncorrupted. In contrast, the rest of humanity had embraced violence and idolatry, sorcery and every form of sexual deviance, including interbreeding with fallen beings. God's grief was so great that he declared every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time in Genesis 6, 5. So clearly God wipes away all those on the earth.

But what about the Nephilim? Did they really return after the flood? This is one of the most asked and controversial questions. In Genesis 6, 4, it says the Nephilim were on the earth in those days and also afterward. Wait afterward.

We read later in Numbers 13, 33, that the spies saw giants in Canaan. We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes and we looked the same to them. If you remember that verse from last episode, these giants are sometimes called Anakim, rephaim and other names in scripture. How did they get back here? How did they return? This is a pretty tough question to answer, but some possibilities include a second incursion of fallen angels after the flood, perhaps corruption through surviving Nephilim DNA in Ham's wife or another member of the Ark family, or genetic tampering or spiritual possession recreating these beings. There's really no definitive answer, but the evidence of giants post-flood is strong in both the Bible and extra biblical sources, and archaeologists have found large skeletal remains, elongated skulls and ancient lore across cultures about sky gods, hybrid beings and giant kings. So there is something going on here which leads me to the question is this happening again.

If Jesus said the end times would mirror the days of Noah, then what signs should we be watching Noah then? What signs should we be watching? Here are a few modern parallels Genetic splicing in transhumanism, which is blending humans with AI, machines and animal genes certainly happening and been happening for a bit here. Fertility in an embryo experimentation, including three-parent embryos, and womb transplants this one is absolutely terrifying and is happening right now. Also, rampant sexual sin, lgbtq normalization and gender ideology pushed onto children, pornography, addictions, widespread pedophilia and grooming this stuff is everywhere and it is absolutely terrifying, as is the rise of spiritual deception, including witchcraft, new age and alien and UFO disclosure and conversations around that area. Ufo disclosure and conversations around that area. And, lastly, the mark of the beast, and while we don't know yet what it is, digital ID systems, biometric control and AI tracking are all laying the groundwork for it.

Just as in the days of Noah, humanity today is reaching for God-like power, playing with DNA, redefining creation and ignoring God's boundaries, and this is a tough one. The latter, about playing with DNA, is a tough one to discuss because it can be very close to home and sensitive for a lot of people, but it's something that we really have to look at and consider. I've heard a lot of people say things like well, god has allowed us to learn these things or to do these things, or, by God's hand, doctors are able to do these things. God doesn't control every little thing that we do. You guys, we set up and dig our own graves sometimes, so I'm just going to park that there.

Let's talk about the coming deception. Scripture warns us that in the end there will be a great deception, one that may even fool the elect, as is mentioned in Matthew 24, 24. Could part of that deception be a return of the Nephilim or fallen watchers? Could ancient knowledge, buried or suppressed, resurface in the form of quote advanced technology, alien entities or AI? Remember, satan doesn't create, he imitates and corrupts and, just like in the days of Noah, the goal is to lead people away from the truth, to destroy God's image bearers and to pervert anything holy. You may be wondering why does this even matter? Because Jesus said it would happen again. Understanding the days of Noah gives us discernment for the days we're living in and it helps us see the signs, resist deception, trust God's word, cling to purity and truth in a corrupt generation, and we aren't called to fear. We are called to be awake.
