Show Notes

Join Angie and Dave as they talk with Jessica Bennett, mother of two amazing kids and how she has navigated parenting kids, one with exceptional challenges and one with a strong personality,  As parents, it is natural to have goals for our children - we want them to be happy, healthy, and successful. However, it is important for parents to remember that our children are their own individuals, with their own strengths, interests, and goals. It is not our job to shape them into a particular version of "success," but rather to support and encourage them to follow their own path. Letting go of our own goals for our children can be difficult, but it is an important step in allowing them to find their own way and become their best selves. This can involve letting go of certain expectations and being open to the possibility that our children may choose a different path than what we had originally envisioned.

About your hosts:
Angie Shockley is a Certified Shamanic Practitioner, Coach, and Owner of young adult transitional living programs. She brings 30+ years of experience working with teens, young adults and their families, as well as individuals.  She has developed a strong intuitive ability to see the underlying issues and provide avenues for positive change and growth.

Angie has found that most people, regardless of age, lack the ability and vision to see past challenges in their lives. They operate from limiting beliefs which have formed through their lives, from their genetic lineages (DNA), environmental influences, trauma responses, or relationships. She has the unique ability of shining a light on the shadows, helping people gain awareness and build skills to step back into their lives with more flow, confidence, and happiness.
