The High Speed Chicken Feed Podcast is bringing you another survival story from our First Responder community. Retired Corporal Robert Greer was dedicated to a life of service to others as a law enforcement officer with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. From an early age, Robert wanted to be a cop. He lived his life by a certain code and applied himself to that task. Robert served in a variety of roles during his career including Corrections, Hostage Negotiator, Financial Crimes Detective, Youth Services Detective with concurrent assignments to an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and FBI Cyber Crime Task Force, patrol deputy and a Drug Recognition Expert in the area of Field Sobriety.

The traumas of those assignments, along with serious injuries and medical conditions while off duty, caused Robert to cope with alcohol and pain pills. PTSI and substance abuse ended Robert's career much earlier than he anticipated. However, more traumas where on the way before he was finally beat. Tune in as Robert takes us through what led him to finally seek treatment....and how he is fighting to get his life back. If you're a first responder, you don't want to miss this truly remarkable story!!
