Keon Joel is a Texas native and Marine Corps veteran with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Keon comes from a military family with a long history of service to our country! His life has been an amazing story of service, survival, and recovery. In this two part story, Keon takes us through events in his childhood and adolescent life that led to his joining the Marines, and how events on deployment would change his life forever. When he was suffering from PTS, Keon found healing in a unique way: acting. Drawing back to his high school and college talents, Keon found a way to get outside himself and let the healing come in. Part two of his story will conclude with how acting is helping him move forward in life having starred in movies and commercials, with more to come!! Truly an amazing tale of redemption.
