Secretariat Historic 50th Anniversary Remembrance

Secretariat ‘Big Red’ won the Triple Crown on June 9th, 1973. 50 Years later several racing insiders share their stories of how this historic Monster of a racehorse forever affected their lives. Each person experienced an extraordinary time in our lives that will never be forgotten. In the early 70s, I had the unique opportunity to assist Dr. Mark Gerard at Belmont Park, as he worked on many of that era’s greatest racehorses. The most memorable experience was meeting the GOAT ‘Secretariat’. Of equal importance was recording the memories of many of the supporting cast from that time.
