Mel Bampton Presents...How Human

Promoter of Festivals, Defier of Quadriplegia with Ben Tillman

Lissie Turner Episode 12

Ben Tillman did not hold back on starting adult life. At aged 20 with no idea about business, he and his mates started a cafe that would morph into an art gallery, a bar, a music venue and eventually a festival called Yours and Owls.  All of this kicking off around the same time as losing his father to a self-destructive spiral that would for a time feed his own.

In 2012 Ben would jump behind the wheel of car with his two mates after a night on the booze, a split second decision to risk the short drive home. Within moments the car was upside down. And Ben, whilst conscious and in no pain, could not move his body.

This is the story of the already bold life that proceeded that accident and of the phenomenal decade that came after. This is the school of finding acceptance for what is, whilst simultaneously, enthusiastically steering change.  This is the odyssey of one man discovering the potency of subtle tools for grand results and the affect of his mind on his healing.
