Welcome to Eden and Amadeus, the podcast. We have a packed show today.
Speaker 2We have so many things to share with you. First of all, tyler Farr. Country music sensation. Tyler Farr is going to be coming to Jacksonville, florida, well, clay County, and we had an opportunity to chat with him. He is a good old boy man.
Speaker 1He is country. You know what we're learning more and more about these country artists is their children, like they're, they're going down one path and then and then there's a crossroads and boom, their life completely changes yeah, you mean when they have kids.
Speaker 2Once they have kids, yeah, absolutely, that happens for everybody, but it's fun to see for these guys because it is probably a pretty wild life until you get to that point.
Speaker 1Yeah on the, if you're on the road the way they are. And then everything changes.
Speaker 2The other thing that's going to happen is you're going to hear all of this week's Battle of the Sexes. So trivia buffs, stand by for that, play along. And you saw a movie this week, actually, yeah, no, just the one this week, right? No, you saw two, because you saw A Scream Unseen on Monday night. So let's talk about both of those movies, in case anybody wants to get out and see something this week.
Speaker 1So Scream Unseen. I don't know when this movie comes out. It's called. Do you remember what it was called? I couldn't remember the name of it.
Speaker 2Yes, it was Sting. Yeah, I was just going to tell you it was about a spider. I couldn't remember what.
Speaker 1Sting. I didn't even I've never. You get there to the theater, you have no idea what you're going to see. All you know is the rating and how long it is.
Speaker 2And it's usually screen unseen, unless it is a horror movie. Then it's called Scream Unseen.
Speaker 1Exactly, and so this movie Sting is about this girl in this apartment in New York that snowed in and this spider that she finds that is this horrific. I don't want to give anything away, but this spider starts eating like people's pets. I don't want to give anything away, but this spider starts eating like people's pets and then it gets bigger and then starts eating like people and it was so good and so much fun. I had no idea what to expect. It's horrific, it's gory, but it's also fun. Jump scares and some funny moments, so it's kind of everything rolled into one. I really, really enjoyed it. On the other side of that coin, I saw Godzilla X-Con, the New Empire, and I was really looking forward to it. I'm a big fan of Kong, big fan of Godzilla, big fan of the whole Monarch universe. This movie is a fargan mess. I mean it is a mess. I couldn't believe how bad it was.
Speaker 2You were telling me about it and I have to say you first said hollow earth. Like I'm supposed to know what that means.
Speaker 1Oh, yeah, it all takes place in hollow earth. I didn't know what that meant. That's a. That's an area that we learned about in the last movie and I guess through the Monarch series on Apple Plus. It's just too much going on it and and the CGI, you know. After seeing Godzilla minus one I'm spoiled now. I mean it's two different universes, but that Godzilla minus one was so amazing that.
Speaker 2It's two different universes.
Speaker 1Yeah, so I don't want to get too deep into it. Let's not they're not related in any way, shape or form.
Speaker 2Okay, yeah, got it.
Speaker 1But Godzilla X King, the new empire, is not good in my opinion.
Speaker 2Well, we do want to talk about some movies that are not yet in the works. Some of them might be in the works, but they're not here yet, and these are biopics I want to talk about. First of all, the word biopic. A biopic obviously is a film that is about a particular person, but for years I would see it in writing and I didn't hear it and I always thought it was a biopic and I didn't put it together.
Speaker 1I think we used to hear the word biopic. Oh, we did, I feel like when it was like what were the guys' names on the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun? Siskel and Ebert. Yeah, I feel like I used to hear them say biopic.
Speaker 2Oh really, maybe they did. I thought it was my imagination that I would always say it that way. So I always figured that one day I would say it on air, and when I first realized it was biopic, I'm like why would you not put a little dash in?
Speaker 1there and they've always been around, but it seems like since Bohemian Rhapsody They've really been ramped up and the quality's been really really good.
Speaker 2There have been some really good biopics. Let me tell you about some that are either In the works now or on the horizon. So Timothy Chalamet as Bob Dylan.
Speaker 1I'm all about it.
Speaker 2Yeah, I love him, I love him, and I think he could pull that off. I love this one so much because I'm a huge fan of the show the Bear, and I watched shameless Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen.
Speaker 1I don't know what that's going to be about.
Speaker 2It's going to be about the making of one particular album, and the album is one that he made. It was like a really dark time, I want to say, and I believe the album was very raw and I can't, I don't remember, I'm not. I'll be honest with you, I'm not a Springsteen fan. I'm not not a fan. I just don't follow his career very much. I get the genius of him.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, totally. I don't know if you knew this, but the recent Bob Marley film One Love was about the making of one particular album.
Speaker 2Okay so.
Speaker 1I can see where this is going.
Speaker 2Selena Gomez as Linda Ronstadt.
Speaker 1Such a no-brainer so good, great casting, great talent, great music, and a lot of people may not know this, but Linda Ronstadt's band was the Eagles. Once she went solo, that became the Eagles, so there's so much story to tell there. I'm super excited about that.
Speaker 2So were they, the Stone Ponies.
Speaker 1I guess yeah, Was that her band I don't know.
Speaker 2Yeah, well, yeah, but I don't know. See, I knew that, but I couldn't have told you that. And then when you said it, I don't even know if a trivia I would have gotten that I think I would have been like Stone Pot, like who are they? Four Beatles biopics directed by Sam Mendes.
Speaker 1Love it Now.
Speaker 2I don't know if that means that he's going to do four separate ones or it's going to be no four.
Speaker 1I don't know, I think it's going to be four, four different shows. I think it's going to be a series. Oh, if I remember correctly reading it, it's going to be like a, like a docu-series. Okay, so there'll be four different uh shows about each member of the beatles sebastian stan as donald trump I saw this and I do not get it. I would. The only thing I want to see him is as Luke Skywalker, and that's it.
Speaker 2You want to see Sebastian Stan as Luke.
Speaker 1Skywalker yes.
Speaker 2Is that something that's going to happen?
Speaker 1I don't know it's something that fans want to happen, but I don't know. But Donald Trump, I don't get it.
Speaker 2I liked him as Tommy Lee in that Tommy and Cam. Yeah, he was fantastic and I liked him not as much as I like Machine Gun Kelly, as Tommy Lee in that Dirt, dirt. What is it called Dirt, something Dirt?
Speaker 1I can't remember.
Speaker 2Pauly Shore as Richard Simmons. I just don't know if I would want to see either of them Like Richard Simmons as Richard Simmons.
Speaker 1I don't either, and I don't think Pauly Shore is a good enough actor to do anything that doesn't look like a joke. Jafar Jackson as Michael Jackson so we've already seen footage of this. It looks amazing. I mean amazing. All the costumes look amazing. Everything about this thing looks amazing. I cannot wait for this to come out.
Speaker 2Daisy Edgar Jones as Carole King. I don't know who she is all right, so I I actually just had to google her and you have seen her in when the Crawdads Sing.
Speaker 1Oh.
Speaker 2And she was also in. What else was she in, Was she?
Speaker 1like the main character.
Speaker 2I believe she was. She was also in Normal People, which I really liked.
Speaker 1She's got that airy spirit. I could totally see her as Carole King, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2I think I mean I'm saying that like I think I'm pretty sure I had to look it up.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2I love Carole King. I love the play Beautiful. The musical Beautiful. I don't know if this is going to be like that. Tom Holland as Fred Astaire.
Speaker 1I think I heard about this A year ago. I'm just waiting, like I've already bought my ticket. Now just make the movie already. I mean I cannot wait for this.
Speaker 2I'm sure everybody has seen this. If you're a fan of Tom Holland, you should watch it from Lip Sync Battle when he did Umbrella by Rihanna. And he started out with Singing in the Rain.
Speaker 1Right.
Speaker 2And was that Fred Astaire? No, that was Gene Kelly.
Speaker 1But still it doesn't matter. Yeah, great dancers.
Speaker 2Great, that's a good. I love that. That's such a fun thing to say. Do you know who Marissa Abella is?
Speaker 1I do not.
Speaker 2She as Amy Winehouse.
Speaker 1Oh, I've seen this trailer already.
Speaker 2It's been in the theaters for a few weeks, oh it has.
Speaker 1Yeah, now here's where I am on that. There is an amazing documentary called Amy that cannot be touched. I just when I was watching the trailer I was thinking I don't think this needed to be done because the documentary is so good. But I will definitely be there.
Speaker 2It's called back in black right or back to black I'm, I don't know.
Speaker 1Yeah, I have to defer to you on that one yeah colman domingo as nat king cole colman domingo could just sit on a screen and read. Who is he? He's an actor that I I discovered from um from one of the walking dead series. He's an amazing. He he's actually playing Michael Jackson's father in the Michael Jackson biopic. Just an amazing actor. He's kind of the new. For me he's the new Idris Elba. Like he's that, you know, that foreign African-American actor that can just do anything. He is amazing. I'm in love with this guy and I can't wait to see him do anything at all.
Speaker 2All right, love with this guy, and I can't wait to see him do anything at all. All right, well, we will. We will, of course, stay on top of those movies as they unroll, but I just think it's amazing that that's to me.
Speaker 1My favorite of all of those is Selena Gomez's Linda Ronstadt that is the standout to me, but that Michael Jackson movie, oh, keep your eye on that ah, so good all right, one more thing before we launch into our chat with Tyler Farr.
Speaker 2Okay, this was a question that we never really got to on the air, but I thought it was interesting. Would you rather have a 100% chance of when this is when the lottery was so huge last week would you have rather have a 100% chance of winning a million dollars or a 75 chance of winning 100 million dollars?
Speaker 1I feel like the question is basically would you rather somebody give you a hundred, or a million dollars or take a chance on winning 100 million, and I think the obvious answer is give me a million dollars right, that's where I would be too but, it's very much like let's make a deal.
Country Artist on Career and Fatherhood
Speaker 2Do you want what's in this envelope or do you want to go for door number three? Let's see what's in the envelope. You still wanted to keep the envelope, so I thought that was too. But I thought that was interesting Because I saw it a lot of places.
Speaker 1I know one thing I've been playing the lotto, mega millions and Powerball. I'm going broke trying to get rich. I mean I am going broke.
Speaker 2You're not the only one this is a good time. But remember, the Battle of the Sexes recap is coming your way, but first let's check in with our friend Tyler Farr.
Speaker 3Allie. What's going on?
Speaker 2Hey, how are you? We didn't get you out of like a hunting situation, did we?
Speaker 3How'd you know? I literally just got out of the woods from turkey hunting. I'm down here in Union Springs, Alabama.
Speaker 1Oh, wow, okay, and you were recently in Florida, turkey hunting as well, right I?
Speaker 3was yes, sir. Yeah, I was down by Okeechobee filming for Buck Commander. I don't know if y'all are aware. I became an owner of that, Bought a stake in that from Willie Robertson about five years ago, so we were filming of that. Bought a stake in that from Willie Robertson about five years ago, so we were filming for that. Oh, that's fun.
Speaker 2And then, somehow, in between all of that, you're going to squeeze in a trip to Jacksonville Florida.
Speaker 3Absolutely.
Speaker 2We're happy to have you here. How's it been going? How are you managing your time?
Speaker 3I just hunt when I can, which I got a three-year-old little girl now, so it ain't a lot, but I do it when I can. And then we just had some shows out west in San Diego, arizona, and you know, just trying to get in my hunt while I can, because normally I'm gonna be, I'll be at home watching my little girl. Uh, she's starting to show off too. I was kind of deterred, deter from being a performer, entertainer, but I think I got some news coming because now she just like to show off and sing frozen for all my friends.
Speaker 2Frozen. Okay, that might be the answer to the question I was going to ask you. We are asking our listeners today if their kid had to do a three-minute presentation on something they are currently passionate about, what would it be? So can we assume like she would become Elsa?
Speaker 3Probably Elsa, or she's hot on Paw Patrol right now. Oh yeah, paw Patrol, that's hot too All the stuff I mean like I might start throwing some of these songs from her movies into my set, because I probably got them memorized.
Speaker 1Dude, if you do Frozen at the Clay County Fair, I will applaud you endlessly.
Speaker 2Maybe get a little Olaf in there too. That's great.
Speaker 3She had me dressed as Olaf, my wife was Anna and my daughter's name's Hollis Caroline. She was Elsa and Dad was supposed to be Olaf and Dad went a little too far, no pun intended, and instead of just like a shirt with a lot like, I ordered the blow-up. You know, seven-foot tall, that has the little battery powered and it blows up.
Speaker 2Oh, my goodness.
Speaker 3And, buddy, when I put that thing on, she took off running across my field. Did you scare her? Oh yeah, she was terrified. She goes. No, no, I can't want to like it. I can't want to like it. I can't want to like it.
Speaker 2Oh, what a sweetie. Oh my gosh, I love that, so has it been a girl. Dad changed you a lot, you think.
Speaker 3Oh, absolute Like well, I mean basically just turned me into a big old pansy.
Speaker 2Well, I mean, it basically just turned me into a big old pansy.
Speaker 3But yeah, you know, like, even with like songwriting and the music it definitely has, because you know I used to I'd never written a song and didn't really, you know, know how to write a song about that perspective, about my daughter, about being a dad, because you really can't until you do it, and so it really, I think, helped me a lot, especially with that avenue of songwriting and that aspect. So it's been fun to write songs. I wrote a song on my last EP called Questions About Her and man. It's crazy, you know. It's like I'm raising her but it's like she's teaching me a lot too along the way. I think that's how Daddy's relationship is supposed to be with his daughter. She makes me a better person by being her dad.
Speaker 1I feel like we hear that story a lot, especially with country music dads lot, especially with country music dads.
Speaker 3Yeah, it's, I think it's just you know part of it, because it just it really opens up a part of a part of a you know man. A man can, man can be pretty guarded, and all it takes is a little girl and I mean she got she, she. When she falls down like my, I just want to start crying. I'm like, oh my god, you know so yeah I'm pretty much going to be turned to a big old pushover all right.
Speaker 1So you've got your tv career, your music career, you, you're a dad. Tell me about local boy local boy outfitters, because I saw you plugging that on.
Speaker 3I believe was on your instagram page yeah, well, I just did a uh sponsorship deal with them. They're great people and I've known them for a while now. They originally that relationship started they started sending me some stuff because they saw me on Hank Jr's bus. I played several shows with them. They saw me on there with one of their hats, sent me some stuff and I loved it. My wife they're out of South Carolina, my wife's from Florence, south Carolina, and she's the one that got me the hat and eventually I ended up meeting them and stuff. I came out of the show and just developed a good relationship and they're great people and the cool thing about it and I do love, especially in today's world you know there's so many big corporate businesses buying out the little guy. You know the mom and pop restaurants, the companies and it's all on Amazon and this company. They only sell like, local, like, so you can't find it on Amazon. They ship it direct to the consumer.
Speaker 1It's all made right there and you know I like supporting american companies so can we add like, like fashion model to your, to your resume now?
Speaker 3I probably wouldn't go that far, would not go that far.
Speaker 2But sure, I know that people, people who are going to be coming out to the fair are going to be your kind of people, because you know it's a beautiful fair Clay County Fair is like one of the most family-friendly fairs in the South and tell everybody what they can expect, if you don't mind.
Speaker 3Well, I'm sure there's some rednecks around Jackson. We've got a couple, I'm sure you get. I was just down in Florida and I saw a gaggle of them. Well, it'll be a party. You know, my show is. You know, I'm the same on stage, the same off the stage. I don't really vary. That's just how I've always been. I like to have a party. We're going to make people feel something and hopefully have a good time.
Speaker 2Well, that sounds good to us. We can't wait to have you here, absolutely. We will look forward to that and, in the meantime, safe travels and have a great time and keep on doing what you're doing, because she sounds like she's a lucky little girl Having you as her daddy.
Speaker 3I appreciate it. Thank you all very much.
Speaker 2What a nice dude. I mean we really didn't know what to expect as her daddy. Oh, I appreciate it. Thank you all very much. What a nice dude, I mean.
Speaker 1We really didn't know what to expect. Going into that we didn't. And, yeah God, what a cool. I remember the first time we ever talked to Jelly Roll. We were like we didn't know anything about this guy.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1And within a minute or two we were both like in love with.
Speaker 2Jelly Roll.
Speaker 1And Tyler being a dad. I just love all the way these country artists are having this life on the road. And then boom, here comes fatherhood and everything changes.
Speaker 2Well, one thing that was very sweet that happened this week is in our Battle of the Sexes. One of our champions gave a shout out, I'm assuming, to a wife or daughter, I don't even know, but he gave a shout out. That was kind of sweet.
Speaker 2He snuck it in at the end and this part didn't get on the air, but you were like this isn't Jeopardy, because you know Jeopardy at the end, where they always write a little something extra even if they don't know the answer. Hi mom, hi mom. So he got that in. Let's take a listen to the whole week's worth.
Speaker 4This is a Battle of the Sexes replay.
Speaker 1Here we go. Monday morning Battle of the Sexes. Please welcome our returning champion. From fort carolina it's tina, and from the west side, here to take tina on it's david. Guys, today, in honor of international waffle day, it's a double f quiz. All of the answers have two f's back to back somewhere in them. First question goes to our returning champion, tina. This individual baked goody is like a cupcake's savory cousin, truffle.
Speaker 2No, we're looking for muffin on that one Muffin.
Speaker 1Oh darn, no score yet.
Speaker 2David, a soft, chewy candy made by constant stretching and pulling.
Speaker 1Too much time, david. We were looking for taffy. No score. Yet, tina, this fragrant underground fungus is a delicacy and usually sniffed out by pigs. Oh, tina, you're going to kick yourself. It's a truffle. That was where truffle belongs. Still no score.
Speaker 2David, a means of fundraising by selling numbered tickets for a prize. That is a raffle, David. David, a means of fundraising by selling numbered tickets for a prize? I don't know.

Speaker 2David. This is a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle.
Speaker 1Too much time. David, we're looking for Griffin.
Speaker 2All right, the two of you. The first to shout out the answer is going to be our winner, same category, your limousine's driver, shepard. Yes, ma'am, nice job, tina.

Speaker 1It's tina and hey, I warned you and here to take tina on from middleburg. It's sean guys. Today is live, long and prosper day. Of course, that quote is from star trek, so we're going to do star trek, the easiest quiz ever. First question goes to our returning champion, tina. What's the name of the spaceship from Star Trek?
Speaker 3Enterprise yes.
Speaker 1One for you.
Speaker 2Sean, who was the captain of the Enterprise.
Speaker 1Captain Kirk yeah, One to one. All right, Tina, on the original series. What country's heritage did Ensign Pavel Chekhov represent Klingon? No, Klingon is not a country. Russia is the country that we were looking for.
Speaker 2Sean, that's a break for you on the original series. What country's heritage did Hikaru Sulu represent?
Speaker 1Spain, no, japan. All right, still one to one, tina, what was Captain Kirk's nickname for Dr McCoy Spock? No, the nickname was Bones.
Speaker 2Bones McCoy, not going to be Star Wars Sean, who was Captain Kirk's pointy-eared science officer.
Speaker 1We've got a brand new champion in the Battle of the Sexes this is a Battle of the Sexes replay. Back for his day. Number two from Middleburg. Let's welcome in Sean.
Speaker 2And from Arlington to take him on. It's Elizabeth.
Speaker 1Today it's an alliterative names quiz. Like Martina, mcbride starts with M and M, all of the answers are people's names that start first and last name start with the same letter. First question goes to our returning champion, sean.
Speaker 2Sean. This Narcos actor now stars as the Mandalorian on Disney.
Speaker 3Pedro Pascal.

Speaker 1We were looking for Gal Gadot on that one. No score for you yet.
Speaker 2Sean, this country music legend, was born a coal miner's daughter.
Speaker 3Well, I don't know.
Speaker 2That's Loretta.
Speaker 1Lynn, so still one to nothing. Elizabeth, this turn-of-the-century magician was known for his daring escapes. Too much time we're looking for Harry Houdini, which means Sean. If you get this one right, the game is over.
Speaker 2Sean. This actor played Dre Johnson on the ABC sitcom Black-ish.
Speaker 3Anthony Anderson.
Speaker 4That is correct. This is a Battle of the Sexes replay.
Speaker 1Here we go. Thursday morning, battle of the Sexes and back for his day. Number three from Middleburg. Let's welcome in Sean.
Speaker 2To take Sean on today from the north side. Please welcome Alex.
Speaker 1Guys, today is Black Forest Cake Day, so what we're going to do is take all the letters from Black Forest Cake, mix them up and come up with some new words. So all of the answers are letters found in the words Black Forest Cake. First question goes to our returning champion, sean.
Speaker 2Sean, this is a three-letter word, that is, the back or the tail of a ship.
Speaker 1Aft, yeah, aft. One for you, alex. This is also a three-letter word. This is a synonym for a paddle.
Speaker 2Row no.
Speaker 1We're looking for an oar. A paddle is obviously you row with a paddle, but we're looking for an oar. No score for you yet.
Speaker 2Sean four letters. A popular low-carb diet.
Speaker 1Keto yeah, you. Yet, sean, four letters. A popular low-carb diet, you know. Yeah, all right, two to nothing, but, alex, you can put one on the board with this, alex. Also four letters. The members of a play cash? Yeah, yes, two to one. But, sean, if you get this one right, you're a champion again today.
Speaker 2Sean five letters. A three-legged frame used for an artist's canvas, a tripod, no easel, is what we needed. On that one we were looking for an easel.
Speaker 1Five letters. All right, that's a break for you, Alex. If you get this one right, you can tie it up. Alex, also five letters. This is a measure of the purity of gold. Too much time we were looking for a carrot with a score of 2-1. Sean, you're today's champion.
Speaker 4Let's go. I love you, Emily. This is a Battle of the Sexes replay.
Speaker 1Friday morning Battle of the Sexes. Back for his day, number four. Let's welcome in Sean.
Speaker 2And from the north side to take on Sean. It's Joetta.
Speaker 1Guys, today it's Leftovers Day. These are all questions from past battles that didn't quite make it on the air. The first question goes to our returning champion, Sean.
Speaker 2All right, sean. This is from our FF Words quiz. That means every answer has a double F somewhere in the word.
Speaker 3It's a low seat or stool like the one used by Little Miss Muffet.
Speaker 2I don't know she sat on a tuffet no score yet.
Speaker 1All right, Joetta, also from our double F words quiz, the answer is going to have two Fs in it.
Speaker 3Joetta. This is street art usually found on the side of buildings Graffiti.
Speaker 1Yeah, zero to one.
Speaker 2Sean, this is from our Star Trek quiz. What was? Captain Kirk's middle initial T yeah T Tiberius.
Speaker 1It's one to one, but Joetta, you could pull ahead if you get this one right. Joetta, also from our Star Trek quiz in the original series, what planet was Spock from? I don't know, that's Vulcan. We have a tie score.
Speaker 2Okay, Sean, our alliterative names quiz. To remind you, an alliterative name is one where the first and last name both start with the same initial. This actress played Elizabeth Swan in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Speaker 3Keira Knightley.
Speaker 1Yes, Keira Knightley is correct Two to one, but you can tie it up with this one, Joetta, also from our alliteratives names quiz, Remember? The answer is going to start with the same letter. This 90s boy band sang Everybody Larger Than Life, and I Want it that Way.
Speaker 2Boy band. Oh, you cannot repeat any part of the question.
Speaker 1That means with a score of two to one, we have a champion in Sean again, and that was the Backstreet Boys.
Speaker 2All right, everybody. Next week we're joined by our favorite ghost.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, Asher Grodman from CBS's Ghosts. Is it okay to say I have a man crush on him?
Speaker 2I don't think that there's anyone more deserving of your man crush.
Speaker 1I mean, he's a delightful guy.
Speaker 2He's just a sweetie pie and we love him and he's joining us next week. Until then, have a great week.
