Momentum through Good News Glasses

Dan & Suzie Potter

What you look for you will find.

Jesus wore a pair of "Good News Glasses". He was characterized by compassion, love, humility, and selflessness, because he looked into dark spaces so he could light it up.

We all wear glasses, they are either with rose-colored or color-cancelling lenses. If, like Jesus, we choose to see the world around us as a place to grow love and compassion, to emphasize the importance of forgiveness, humility, and treating others with kindness and respect . . . our life momentum will enhance beautiful colors of life.

If we live focused on the Color-Cancelling Lens side (the dark side), our perspective or attitude could point towards fear, pessimism, and judgement . . . we will live with an unhealthy negative or doubtful outlook.

"Momentum through Good News Glasses” refers to a mindset or approach that prioritizes forward movement and progress, rather than dwelling on past events or shortcomings. Good News Glasses is where you view the world with true optimism and positivity, without dwelling on the negative aspects. Not that the darkness does not exist, but your forward momentum is founded upon a positive, good news outlook on life. As an added bonus, you have the possibility of encouraging others to adopt this way of thinking, because it can be contagious.

Momentum at its best focuses on serving a world of people through lenses that make everything seem brighter and more beautiful.

Your perspective, attitude, and focus can shape every experience you have with people and the outcome of every encounter. If your daily life has a positive and proactive outlook, you will be more likely to find momentum opportunities and solutions. While if you have a negative and reactive outlook, you will be more likely to find yourself “stuck” just looking at the challenges and problems.

The truth is your glasses, the way you see the world around you, will influence the way you interpret events and interactions. This will lead you to find what you are looking for, be it positive or negative outcomes.

Jesus seemed to think that you were going to be the light of the world, and you were to let your shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (see John 5:14 - 16)

Here’s the thing, if you want your life to have real momentum, you must open your eyes to see the world as a beautiful place with beautiful people in which you can grow love and compassion. But if you are walking blind, you will remain “stuck" in the fear that you are some kind of victim upon this most dangerous planet.

We encourage you to have "Momentum through Good News Glasses".

What you look for you will find.
