Speaker 1:

Coming up on the Real Ones Reserve podcast, we'll be talking about the topic. Don't stay lost. You don't wanna miss this one, baby. Let's go. Whoa. Now it's your Boyd veteran, and welcome to the Real Ones Reserve. We talk about real things that need to be talked about. Disclaimer, I'm not a licensed psychologist. Therapist, Episode 19, baby. Let's go. Hey, welcome, welcome, welcome to the show. It's your host, It's your boy md, the veteran of the rare ones reserved podcast and company. This podcast is meant to be inspiring and motivating to you all. We do this by providing relatable content to let you all know that you aren't alone. So let's get into the show. Somebody asked the question. Hmm, md why is it important not to stay lost? Why is it important not to stay lost? It's important not to stay lost because it's damaging. It is a repetitive cycle. Staying loss is not learning from the mistakes you've made in life. Like, I don't know about you all, but the experiences that I've lived through and learned from. It's like a gut feeling after you been through some things and you know better, right? It's like, I'm not gonna do that again because I remember what happened last time. It's that memory that pops up in your head when you think about doing the dumb things. You're not gonna continuously do it over, uh, because you hope to experience that disappointment out that hurt. Again, that's just madness. Think of it like a gps. You punch in the address and you start going one way, and it's telling you to turn around or make a right here, and you're still doing your own thing. That's crazy. I mean, of course,<laugh> gps, GPSs, uh, navigation services or whatever you have aren't always correct, but 99.5% of the time, they'll get you in the place you need to be. But that's beside the fact. The fact is, you wanna follow those directions. You wanna follow that gut feeling. You wanna follow the thing that knows best. You wanna follow your past experiences. You don't wanna stay lost. Like how many times in life have you come across people that's doing the same thing they did when you were a teenager? Like still finger pointing, still making excuses, still blaming other people, still living in their mama house. Like, when are you going to learn and not stay lost? Like, I truly understand the expression of mind is a terrible thing to waste. The the mind is such a powerful and unique tool, and some people just don't even utilize it. It's just growing mold and growing dust or, uh, accumulating dust, and it's, it's sad. Now, here's the truth, right? We all get lost at times. We all lose our way at times. But the importance or the important thing is not to stay lost. Like, it breaks my heart to see somebody who I knew growing up and they just look like crap. And you know, you look at'em post on social media, the types of content that they post is like, Man, you haven't grown at all. And it's sad. It, it really breaks my heart. But I know somewhere along the way, they lost their way. Somewhere along the way they lost their way. But guess what? You can always get back on track. I'm not saying it's gonna be easy, because if you've been lost for years, you'll have to do a lot of different things to break that bad cycle that you develop that entire time. It's gonna take a lot of work, baby. But as long as you're committed and you're serious, I believe you could do whatever you wanna do. You have to believe that. Same thing though, You have to believe in yourself more than anybody else. I'll tell you guys a quick story. Um, I was in always a motivated person. People that know me might find that, you know, to be a little shocking, but I wasn't always motivated. I was motivated to play hoops and play sports like that. But as far as growing as a person, uh, getting the education, I wasn't always motivated. I was lost in that sense. But look at me now. Like, I love school now. When I was growing up, I didn't like it. I, I hated it. I didn't stay lost. I found my way as a grown up. But you can always find your way. I was a teenager now I'm 37 years old. You could always find your way. There's a huge gap in which I had to do some work and figure out myself and, you know, figure out who I was. But there's always time to get back on track and not stay lost. So don't give up on yourself. It doesn't matter if you feel like you are on your death bed, you still have time to change your habits, change your ways. You just have to want to, you have to be motivated. And they, like they used to say in the military, motivated and dedicated to do better. So once you get your changes on track and you building some consistency, you have to take it day by day by day until these weeks start piling up until these months start piling up, then voila, you form new habits and you inform the new self. You didn't stay lost. He found yourself. You found your way and you found your purpose. So there's definitely no need to hang your head. Be on some woulda, coulda would stuff. There's always time to change. You're in the driver's seat of your own life. Don't let anybody tell you it's too late for you to do this. It's too late for you to do that. Tell them to be quiet because I commend anyone that's trying to do better in their life. Anybody that's doing anything that's positive and trying to change their life, let them be. Leave them alone. They are trying to do better. But notice, once you start trying to get your life right, people ain't just gonna leave you alone. They gonna try to yank you down with them. They want you to remain lost with them. They don't want you to act different. They don't want you to progress. They don't want you to wake the hell up. They want you to stay in the loss, loss deep darkness with them. Now watch this. Are you gonna stay committed once all these people who know you over the years start attacking you saying you are acting different? Are you gonna stay the course? Are you going keep on a straight narrow? Are you gonna backed or start backs sliding, whatever you wanna call it towards your old self? Wrapping up today's show, I hope you all learned something. I hope you all got motivated, got inspired, got what you needed from today's message. Um, I really hope you felt that one. And understand there's never a late time or it's never too late to get right. And again, I want to thank you guys for tuning in to the show. This is gonna be one of the best shows that you hear out performing every everyone else that's trying to do it. Because that's what we striving for. We striving for excellence and we striving to help. And as always, it's the veteran. So who you think you better.
