What’s up everybody it’s your boy MDEE The Veteran   representation of the real ones who serve podcast and company hey this is the only mental health show that keeps it this real so if you want it real you want it factual you want it ugly hey make sure you tune into the real ones deserve podcasts each week hey you never know me I'll drop the episode or two episodes or three so just be on the lookout for the show so yeah make sure you're tuned into the show each week eight and I have a great show lined up for you guys today so let's get into it and here's somebody ponder MDEE what do you mean by expect the unexpected so as an adult as if the various situations recently um I didn't expect to go through a lot of these things that I'm going through right now like back-to-back to back you know at this frequency but I would feel like I'm very resilient I'm being very resilient right now but back then in life when I was 20 something years old I don't necessarily know I would have had this type of resilience built up so all the things that I went through to make me to this age has prepared me for all the trials and tribulations that are facing right now it truly taught me a lot and strengthened me to just deal with the emotions of it you know the emotions of all these things that are going through you know the joy and the pain triumph you know it's a lot of different avenues or different viewpoints that I can have on my life right now maybe I could look at it from a sad standpoint uh poor me mentality like oh man I got this one all that's going on that's going to happen and that's going to happen you know you're not doing anything but writing yourself a sad story talking like that you know and uh I would like to say I'm more realistic about things nowadays you know I have some bad events happening to me throughout the day I just like I know it could be a little contradicting saying things like um expect the unexpected it's kind of like you prepare yourself to go through something that isn’t even necessarily a thing to go through so I get that and there's plenty of things like that in life that can make you second guess all these things you've been taught you know it's like that isn't correct that isn't the correct way to look at things but the point I'm trying to make uh what that title is just be flexible in your mentality I don't go around with the this is what's supposed to happen you know attitude or whatever you should have the flexible mentality you should just go with the flow you know just absorb the punches you know you're going to take some punches just take mine no they coming boom you just take them in take them in stride you know like oh that hurt it actually heard that hurt and yeah you going to be all right now I know somebody asking again man what do you mean by being all right being alright is waking up being able to put your feet on the ground or have a heart beating your chest or have breath in your lungs or being able to open your eyes and see your children or see yourself in good health or see your spouse in good health your siblings your parents still being alive those are things that should make you all right regardless of the pain that you feel currently you should still have gratitude for those things that are there and that are present those people that are there and that are present because you know we all said every day feels like it man time is passing so fast you know time is so short and here we are still being uh negligent and not appreciating the beauty that's before us you know it's amazing how people complain and just miss what's right in front of them you know and myself included but I like to think of doing a much better job at that here as of late you know appreciating those things that are there those people that are there for me uh you know no matter what now everybody's all right will look completely different like for example myself my all right would look like hey me being able to have a roof over my head me have electricity me having water you know simple things like that that would be my all right somebody else is alright may consist of been leading to spin money or they need to eat a bunch of food they don't need to be eating or whatever somebody's all rights are extremely healthy to stay in but for the time being maybe y'all all right looks like eating a bunch of unfair unhealthy food and just until you drift over and you're better you know in a situation moving forward because I aren’t gonna lie you know there has been some stretches for me where I'm surprised I am super sick right now you know I remember it was like six months I had to get like a damn honey bun every morning with my coffee like a big freaking cinnamon roll white icing on it just not like sugar just surprise my damn teeth am not fall out but that for that particular season I need to eat them honey buns they did some for me and I know I'm going to get a bunch of funny comments after y'all hear this but hey I was leaning on them honey buns man that icing in that softness and that texture hey that was very nurturing to me going through all these tough times I was going through at the moment and notice something about your tough times man you have to realize that they sometimes they're here for a week two weeks maybe two months maybe two years I know that sounded insane to some of y'all but until you find to appreciate the little things you would think that oh I've been having trouble for two years straight no that's not the truth you've had other little winds in between you've had Sammy good times you know with your friends and family so it hasn't been two years straight or two months straight out of hell you've had breaks in there where you had arrested. So you know I think we get caught up on that sometimes it's like oh man I've been going through this for six months straight well if you add up the actual bad days in those six months it probably be less than a week wow that's crazy huh wrapping up today's show hey man I hope y'all learned something I hope you had a great time I hope this topic really resonated with you and helped you to have a better viewpoint on life and hopefully you're changing mentality you know change your mentality moving forward being cited when you wake up in the morning be thankful when you wake up in the morning get up motivated don't drag us all right and that's always it's your boy the veteran so who do you think is better than make sure y'all stay tuned in.
