As the sun sets over Columbia, South Carolina, the transformative melodies of my cousin Andre Hatter resonate with stories of growth, fatherhood, and authenticity. This episode is a treasure trove of deep reflections on the evolution of self and the sweet symphony of life's trials and triumphs. Andre, a master at weaving R&B and rap, invites us to explore his world of music and the local scene's passionate quest for recognition. His voice, rich with experience, shares how overcoming adversity has not just shaped his path but has fortified his commitment to being a patient and responsible father.

Strap in as we navigate the intricate dance of pursuing personal improvement with the compass of faith firmly in hand. Andre and I delve into the excitement surrounding his upcoming creative projects — the airwaves will soon be graced with new music and videos that promise to capture the essence of genuine artistry. We also unpack the nuances of collaboration and the eager anticipation of future artistic expressions. Meanwhile, I peel back the curtain on my own journey, revealing plans for a food business that marries my entrepreneurial spirit with a love for culinary delights, all while balancing the multifaceted roles of artist and parent.

We cap off our heart-to-heart with a promise to keep the family love and support flowing like a never-ending chorus. The future echoes with the sultry notes of jazz as I share my musical aspirations, from rekindling a romance with the piano and trumpet to diving into the jazz scene. Our episode concludes, not with a goodbye, but with a commitment to remain intertwined in each other's narratives, fostering the connections that make us who we are. Join us for this intimate session where music, evolution, and dreams come together in a harmonious blend.

Speaker 1:

I just, I guess, I know you've been a father.

Speaker 2:

What?

Speaker 1:

you say I get happy every time I see him.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, man, my son is a little ball of joy. Man, I ain't even gonna lie.

Speaker 1:

So before we get into the details, man, everybody, this is my wonderful, talented, handsome cousin. Many more things I could say about him.

Speaker 2:

He goes by.

Speaker 1:

Andre Hatter did I say that right? Oh yeah, who is Andre Hatter, and can you enlighten the people? Like you know, tell us a little bit about yourself.

Speaker 2:

Let's see, Andre Hatter is really my stage name my musician, an artist or not. But you know I do R&B rap and you know kind of mix up some styles.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, you're very talented.

Speaker 2:

I appreciate it, man. You know you really are you as well, bro, you as well. I'm just trying to put my marks out here, oh.

Speaker 1:

I feel you.

Speaker 2:

But I'm a little, oh yeah, yeah, I'm a little bit funny, we don't know, but I live out here in South Carolina. You know, but I'm going to South Carolina. I live in Columbia, South Carolina 803.

Speaker 1:

excuse me, how do you like it out there, man? How's the music scene out there, man?

Speaker 2:

I'm trying to get some growing and developing. But the music scene pretty good. I got some real talented artists out here, man, but you know it's just really getting on the map and showcasing. You know people from South Carolina is able to, you know, continue with major artists. I mean that's some really talented people out here, people are pushing and growing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'll be watching you in my. I got a homie from North Carolina as well. He's pretty dope. His name is Raw Talent man, and y'all boys be spitting when I'm saying like oof. And yeah, man. So let's dig into. You know our topic for today, man, which is self evolution, and I just want to pick your brain and ask you what does self evolution like mean to you, and how can one self evolve?

Speaker 2:

Self evolution. What does that mean to me? For the most part, self. Self evolution means Well, at the end of the day, you're constantly evolving from day to day to achieve whatever goal you want in life, so I think it's necessary for you to evolve.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

You know there's a lot of changes that take place within life itself, so and a lot of things you can't control, so you're still going to necessarily adaptability and evolving is a necessary factor in everyone's life. So to me, evolving would take place with circumstances that happened in my life whether I had a child that I would have to evolve in, so like it's real important through the process of your life.

Speaker 3:

Right.

Speaker 1:

To evolve. No.

Speaker 2:

The way you want to go.

Speaker 1:

So and thanks for you know, all that knowledge you just dropped on us. What, what event you feel like cause you to be like bro, I need to switch up my life. This shit ain't working. Wherever you got stuck at in life, what, what was that event for you? Or events that you care to talk about?

Speaker 2:

Oh, you bet where I would say I don't know, maybe a few, maybe like a couple not a couple years, but some years back I was just in a dark place. I'm so. I know that I had to reach a certain point in life to, you know, to thrive, because that's where I was trying to reach I was. You know, I was living and getting by. Basically, I know what I. You know the things that I needed to put in place to reach the level that I am right now, but you know, that was my rock bottom moment.

Speaker 2:

I would say you know, but you know I you know, life is so up, up and down these. So you know I could say, yeah, that would be my rock bottom moment, to put everything in that perspective. But I don't know.

Speaker 1:

The shit sandwiches. You know what I'm saying because I see you as a husband, cousin. I see you as a talented major artist and I just see you as a multi gifted man and you know thanks for, for sharing, you know the struggle to life lessons. You know that that come to build us up and make us strong. How has your, how has your son changed you for the better?

Speaker 2:

I would definitely say he made me definitely more patient and like, but he also made me understand that I needed to be here for him in this life. My responsibility, I mean you know it makes you see life. You get to see a child growing, develop some. You know that's a. That's a major thing. That's a major thing for me to be there for my child to watch him grow.

Speaker 1:

You're a great dad, man. I see you so proud, man, of having a son, and it's a beautiful thing, man. That's why, every time you post, I'm just like you don't know this, but I'm always smiling every time I see you so.

Speaker 2:

I appreciate it.

Speaker 1:

How does he know?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, my little friend.

Speaker 1:

How does he know?

Speaker 2:

Okay is a to you. He went on, he took a little bit off and changed right now. Getting big enough there, man, oh boy man, absolutely so, um, what's?

Speaker 1:

what's something you think you could tell your your former self thank you for, like you know, we all keep evolving, you know, but it's like I really appreciate my former self in this area. What do you think that that could be in your life?

Speaker 3:

Hmm.

Speaker 2:

That's a good question.

Speaker 3:

Mm, hmm.

Speaker 2:

Well, I thank myself. I thank myself. I'm not saying how I feel about things.

Speaker 1:

I always respect that about you man.

Speaker 2:

You know I never hold him back what I wanted to say.

Speaker 1:

That truth man. You don't know this but I always respected that about you. I'm like this nigga do not care, he is going to say, he's going to say how he feel, and it's real stuff, man.

Speaker 3:

I mean.

Speaker 2:

I just try to say whatever my heart.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, it's from the heart. Man From the heart is. Is is the best place to come from man. I don't. I don't like holding back either.

Speaker 2:

Man, I'm staying on reason to.

Speaker 3:

Mm, hmm.

Speaker 2:

You're gonna let that all ball of this out of you. Yeah, so it'd be close.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah. How do you feel like music help you, like just the whole process of it, you know, like for me, it's like a sanctuary for me and I feel good about it. I feel good when I do music. I love to hear myself. How does music, you know, help you in that area? If it does?

Speaker 2:

Music is more like an outfit for me. You know, to, you know, just to expel energy at the same time. I have a lot of built up energy within me. Sometimes I feel like not to be on talking like that but sometimes I just feel like I need to express myself to that form. Yeah yeah, it's a release. Uh huh, really.

Speaker 1:

Man.

Speaker 2:

I love music, though, man, I love music, you know. Yeah, I love music, I love music, I love music, man, you know there are some things that I do feel like music is also used as a direct tool to manipulate it.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, I do love music. I do love music. Yeah, yeah yeah, what you've gone through in your life, you know, and I'm just proud of what I see from you on social media. I know that's not a fraction of your life, but I just like seeing you, you know doing good, man, you know yeah, absolutely man likewise likewise man.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, man you know, we don't never give up bro. I ain't trying to man. I ain't trying to man. You got to keep on going. You got to keep on going strong. You know, this life got a lot, a lot of lessons to be learned. You know a lot of punches, but that's how you're going. You know Bob and weave man. You know what I'm saying, so that's what I'm here doing.

Speaker 1:

I'm here, by the way, even picking up the pieces. Yeah, yeah, got to keep moving, man. You stay stagnant. Man, speaking of stagnant, like how do you feel about becoming stagnant, like how do you feel, or what do you do to, like, prevent yourself from becoming stagnant, you know, Well, you know, I just try to, you know, repurpose my mind in different ways on different things.

Speaker 2:

Man, you know I enjoy doing or things that I want to try, or things that I want to invest in. So you know, it's just. You know, you like like we, we it's like like we get back to evolution. You know that's that's a part of it.

Speaker 2:

You know what I'm saying. So just bring it back everything back in the one. So realistically. You know, I don't try. I'm open minded, I try to. I try to be open minded, that's my best way to put it and it keeps, you know, having discussions with people, having discussions with like-minded people that you know are business savvy or you know it just makes us want to say to refresh constantly. You know what I mean. Have a different perspective.

Speaker 1:

Man that's going to help you isn't? It. I've always seen you that way because there's a big brain individual. You know, like man, I like that. You know what I'm saying, like I don't care for simplicity. You know that shit is wack to me, you know, and I just always appreciated your honesty and your, your raw just expression, like this dude is being himself.

Speaker 1:

Like I've seen you evolve, you know, just from afar, and I, you know, I don't know everything was going on in your life, because but I see your evolution as a man, as an artist, you know, and I know what you put out there, but I could look at you and tell you, you, a real person, you know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Ain't no hiding that man.

Speaker 2:

Man, I just try to keep it in mind and do what the Lord want me to do, man.

Speaker 1:

Hey, that is, I be doing my thing too, man.

Speaker 2:

I see you, man, I see you.

Speaker 1:

I'm just trying to be free, my brother. Hey, I can't let anybody put me in a box, bro. I can't take it. I can't take it.

Speaker 2:

You can't let nobody jump at us. You're well being For real. That's amazing.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, gotta keep it tight yeah.

Speaker 2:

I try to stay out the way, man you know you know, keep it low and see where they are the way man.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, I love it.

Speaker 1:

I know exactly what you mean.

Speaker 3:

We're not trying to give too many fucks.

Speaker 1:

Hey so.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, bro.

Speaker 1:

So let me ask you, this man like this self evolution man, so self. There isn't anyone or who's in your ear telling you hey, man, you need to improve who's. Who's telling you this every day?

Speaker 2:

For me. I'm telling you, I'm telling you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, people act like yeah your head right.

Speaker 2:

Only, only person that can put even the thought process is the Lord.

Speaker 1:

Come on, man so it's that it takes a lot of self to want to work on self. Ain't nobody making, ain't nobody making you do that. So that's a huge testament to what you're trying to go, man, yeah right.

Speaker 1:

You know, and I just see you going higher, man, like I'm smiling because it's true, bro Like I see you doing your thing, cuz, and your major talent to do man For real. I don't know if you told that a lot, but you have to get told this, man, you need to keep rising, king, you know what I'm saying? You're real, I gotta do cuz, I gotta do it.

Speaker 2:

With all my press in my body. I put, the word came in. That's the main.

Speaker 1:

So the word Speaking of which man? I know you're working on some stuff. You know you're working on some new material, any new?

Speaker 2:

music coming from you and your team. Oh yeah, they got several. I got a project coming out later, but we got a video coming out for a hundred times Me and my dog.

Speaker 2:

Casigut a coming up sometime soon. We waiting on that right now. Yeah, we got that pretty soon and then I got a song that's about to drop. That's gonna be probably. It probably gonna go on the EP, but I don't know yet. I like cuz I'm kind of see if I'm about to form it in this whole EP that I was supposed to do already. I'm gonna lie, but uh, but uh, you know, I'm trying to see if I want to put everything together and draw that. But I got a song called a gig that got like a message to it.

Speaker 3:

Hey, so I'm about to.

Speaker 2:

That's with me and my dog Casigut. Oh man like an upbeat.

Speaker 3:

Oh, that's hard.

Speaker 2:

Don't be dumb, though. They're gonna have a video today. I'll be looking at some singer in the song. What did you say? I said I gotta I might do an album. It's like it's probably gonna be about 10 songs, so I'm singing. No, it's gonna be mostly singing, oh man. I'm gonna say man, man, I'm about to get back in and then I got nothing to love baking music. Well, baby, making music song by the come out in a minute. So yeah, now I'm just keeping this moving.

Speaker 1:

I know you are man, I know you are. What about?

Speaker 3:

you man. So I just been?

Speaker 2:

What about you? I know you have been.

Speaker 1:

I just been on some I know you, always I'm just like charging right now. I'm just charging up, but to release all kinds of shit, man, I don't have a timetable but I'm about to start recording. Hopefully in the next week or so.

Speaker 2:

You think about doing any more videos?

Speaker 1:

Boy, I'm about to get hot on these videos.

Speaker 2:

I'm about to get hot on these videos You're definitely getting to the videos man.

Speaker 1:

My brother Bruce man, I want to shoot a video with him for Speak of the Devil, man, that shit is going to be so hard.

Speaker 2:

I just see us that clothes just going hard man.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah thanks, but you know how that is with the imagination, because I was like, I guess crazy.

Speaker 2:

Well, I feel like if you got a good you got a good little videographer or whatever you can bounce ideas. For the most part, man, the people that I work with, they bounce ideas about me. Yeah, man.

Speaker 2:

I'm proud of you. I'm about to strictly work with probably this one dude man because he did this video for my homie for the song that's called Pink Champagne, and I'm on that Like I'm on a hook. The video is. Quality of the video. It's just so dope and he did well. Man, I'm probably going to mess with him for now on because he got a week turnaround. He was turnaround and you know he ain't killing people. He looking out you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

And he really has good quality. So show, because boy, yeah, that shit could get expensive.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know what I'm saying You're sleeping.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, you know I get sleep. Oh yeah, I'm like shit.

Speaker 2:

Bruh.

Speaker 3:

But like.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, boy, even if you got your own, even if you and I know you recorded your own, even if you got your own, still like it still could get pricey because all the marketing shit, like it's called. It costs in this and before you even see a good return. It's costing it, but you got to put your best foot forward.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, he's pushing. That's it.

Speaker 1:

That's the main reason we sitting on bangers. That's amazing, we sitting on bangers bro. Yeah, that's right, just need the funds to push that shit, bro. That's why I'm about to start. Hey, you know I like posting little videos and shit. I'm going to start recording doing like my little tic-tac and shit to like your music. Fuck this man. It take a community, bro. Like we need to weave this shit together, bro.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, man, I like.

Speaker 3:

Oh, sure do man For real.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I already know, I already know, I already know, bro, that's what I'm trying to do, though you know what I'm saying. That's what I'm really trying to put all this together.

Speaker 3:

I ain't no fucking thing.

Speaker 2:

You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

I'm trying to push a record your way soon, because we need to destroy some shit. It been a little while.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, for sure. Yeah, I'm in a minute.

Speaker 1:

I'm coming like sideclops.

Speaker 2:

Send it over.

Speaker 1:

I'll try and kill everyone Send it over Y'all.

Speaker 2:

I'm in it, especially while I've been in that motherfucker. I ain't gonna lie because I'll be out that motherfucker for a long time. I know so especially send it while I'm in it. While I be in there because right now I'm working on a song, right now with my see. That's the thing, Like I'm about to bring in some instruments, like some real instruments. So I'm about to bring in like acoustic guitars and things of that kind of nature.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's hard, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2:

That's hard, yeah, so I'm really about to bring in some other aspects to like my music, but that's when it's really coming down to this feel that it's singing.

Speaker 3:

All I need and whatever you got.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's like send whatever you got that you want to send over. Let me hear some.

Speaker 3:

What's up my?

Speaker 2:

dance show man. Like while I'm in there, I dance or lay some down, some heady, some he2.

Speaker 1:

And I understand because, like when I'm not in a musical space to where I don't feel like recording, I can't, it's like my energy is just I can't.

Speaker 3:

Like I can but it's not.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know, but that's when you got to see it and I know what you mean. Though, I know what you mean. But, that's when you got to repurpose that energy, man.

Speaker 2:

And that's what we both got to understand better. I can see some of the problems that you and not all of the things, but some of the things that you deal with Mentally I'm sure I deal with that same thing. You know what I'm saying. I'm sure our lives are very much different, but you know, you can kind of see man, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2:

So when they come down to that recording aspect and dealing with life yeah, man, that cadet show, put some walls up and be some blockers to your mental process Then you like you thinking about that, you stressed out, thinking about that too much, and you can't even get it together to even write. See, that's the energy, that's the energy that you use to write, that's what we fucked up at, that's what you fuck. You got to use that, repurpose that energy and utilize that, and that's what I haven't been using. That's my problem. Haven't been getting mad, not using the emotion of madness in music Because you can fucking really repurpose that madness into your music.

Speaker 2:

Damn, you just get ideas you got to be able to control your emotions. That's a major thing as well. You control your emotions so that you can repurpose that. You can be mad inside and repurpose that in a more healthier manner. You know what I'm saying. Oh, that's cool.

Speaker 1:

That's projecting. Perfectly said, because, speaking of projecting, that's part of my self-evolution. I used to project until I figured out what the hell I was doing. Now I don't let people do that shit to me Because it's like I'm like that's how you feel about something. That's not how I feel about it.

Speaker 1:

So I don't even let people speak on certain things, bro, I'm like I didn't ask your opinion or whatever they just be like boo boo, boo, diarrhea at the mouth. I got to tell you boo boo, boo. Like I don't want to hear that shit. But I'm so glad that we're having this conversation because I'm glad to hear your voice and you're doing good.

Speaker 2:

How's the rest of the family? Me too? Everybody doing good, man. You know Everybody doing good and everybody just trying to hold it in place. Keep it going. You know what I'm saying. You know, like everybody. You know Everybody doing good, bro. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, no.

Speaker 1:

Man, you're your son card man he give me every time. Man, I was like this is a little joke.

Speaker 2:

He so handsome, how you all, how you kids doing.

Speaker 1:

Man, they doing wonderful man. Freaking Malcolm, that dude, biggest hair all in his face now Just hanging, dangling and shit he could just do like this and my heart. How old he is he's 18, man.

Speaker 2:

Oh man Boy, you're 18. Bro, yes.

Speaker 1:

Yes, cunt.

Speaker 2:

He but it now 38.

Speaker 1:

Oh, he's 38. Trying to feel 28, cunt.

Speaker 2:

You learn time.

Speaker 1:

That's how I feel. I don't want to be like this I feel what I feel man. Yeah, I don't be like these boys. Oh, I'm so old, my back bro, you putting curses all over yourself, fuck that.

Speaker 3:

You know like.

Speaker 2:

Take care of yourself bro.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, man, you know what?

Speaker 1:

I'm saying I ain't got the Andre Hatter abs. I remember how you used to have shit popping out, boy, but I'm good.

Speaker 2:

I ain't got no ass right now. I ain't in bad shape. I ain't gonna say I ain't in bad shape. I gotta hit the gym, though right now, because that I am in good shape. I gotta get something to get you in the gym.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, well maybe just because I'm gonna eat more hot dogs and bananas Not bananas because there's healthy. I'm traumatized from eating healthy now but, like you know what I mean, that shit make us want to eat bad stuff.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, thanks. I don't know. I feel like I'm gonna be real. As I get older I don't know the more and more I don't want to eat no junk. I'm just getting to the point where I just don't want to eat no junk. No more, right.

Speaker 1:

And it looked like they want me. I don't know that stuff be Snacks Ber.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know, it gets too much for me If I can eat some, maybe some ice cream, you know, or some Starbursts. I ain't gonna lie, man, I just really eat chicken. I eat a lot of food. But right now, man, I'm just down there really eating chicken and shrimp. I ain't even know, I don't even eat that much man. The apple, it's a trail mix Ain't a lot of trail mix.

Speaker 1:

Man, I'll grab that trail mix from the kitchen right now.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I eat a lot of. I eat a lot of. I eat a lot of nuts. It's good.

Speaker 1:

It's good though. Yeah, thanks, protein at five Good fat. Good fats for you too, oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

It has good fats.

Speaker 1:

Oh, the good fats I got you. Yeah, sir, I'm up in this big eat in Hummus. I was like all that shit is good man.

Speaker 2:

I used to be on the. I used to be on the. You know the, what you call it. You know naked right. You know them drinks.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

They're kind of sweet. Yeah, Well, I used to drink. They got another brand, I think. What is it called? Boat House? Yeah, I think it's called.

Speaker 3:

Boat House.

Speaker 2:

Another camera at least it's out here called Boat House and the green juice. You know the green juice with all the spinach, broccoli, apple, apples, all that shit. So I used to drink that. I used to drink good apps, apps. I didn't go live. I used to drink that and eat nothing but trail mix, like I wouldn't even there would be like so I would skip days. I would do like. I would do like a whole day with eating nothing but trail mix and and drinking and.

Speaker 3:

I would.

Speaker 2:

That's all I would eat. I did that for a long time, man. I didn't go live, but I felt so good. I don't know, man, body types is everything. You were taller, dude. You know what I'm saying. I'm only five nine, so, like in my body type, I don't with all that weight on me. It just don't feel well.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, man, freaking, that's what I'm working on Getting my back wider and my waist smaller and trying, not trying getting them apps to pop, pop through. Man, I've, I've, that's part of it. You gonna, you gonna body, build it Shit, I might, I've been.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

Hell yeah, I can still play football.

Speaker 2:

Oh damn.

Speaker 1:

I still am awesome. What are you gonna play? I normally play like tight end safety man. They had my homeboy and flag league had me playing corn. I was locking locking boys ass down out there 64 damn corn.

Speaker 2:

You played in the. You played in the circuit.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but it was flag football. It was fucking athletes out there. Now Don't get it twisted. Of course it will break your hand.

Speaker 3:

It was the best of the best.

Speaker 1:

But it was the flag league I was playing for. No, it wasn't.

Speaker 2:

They was playing, like they was blocking, like for real out there, bro, Knock your ass down.

Speaker 1:

You hear me you gonna talk with it. Tumbleweed action. We were playing on our rack man. It was like dust. We was playing at night with generators running. He can't even see the ball to that shit, oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

Y'all playing like gladiators and shit.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, it was like, bro it was. It was out there. It was rough, bro. We was playing some fucking grown man football, bro, how long you without it? I went to Iraq two times, one, one what are you at? I was 11 months and one was 13 months, I believe. Shit felt like forever, though. Are you out right now? Oh, fuck, yeah, I've been out for two years.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you've been out for two years. Yeah, you ever think about going back.

Speaker 1:

Fuck. No, I got out man, because it was. It was just too much. I had to let them medically put me out, bro, Because it was just too much, but I'm good though.

Speaker 2:

I had to get out while.

Speaker 1:

I was. It's a mental capacity left man.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I feel you, man, I feel you, bro, how long you did 16?

Speaker 3:

16.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah, ain't no way Every recruiter. I did a high-level on every recruiter. I was like nah. I don't think so man.

Speaker 1:

It seemed like a lot. It was man. That's why I like this song. I have the Army, the Navy, where I just did the. I just released that video. I made that. Shit is true, man. The Army made me, but that shit sucked, bro. It was a lot of great things and great memories, but shit. Mental toughness came from the Army, bro. They had y'all doing so many jobs, just like stop For real.

Speaker 3:

look, look, look.

Speaker 1:

I'm in that low crow's feet under my shit, man yeah 16 long.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, oh yeah. But, you know, you know, people know that.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, I got a lot of great friends man, a lot of great people I Went to combat with and just served with and shit. I could call on some of these people and they'd be like what you need where, what you need me to get you from. That's how I was fucking, because you get to see everybody Under pressure. Yeah, different when they under pressure, the real.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I was just seeing something today where it was like you don't really know somebody until you see them Under pressure.

Speaker 1:

You seen them under pressure, that fake shit just come out. Yeah, man, like performing, be like oh, I got you, I got you, blah, blah, blah, then soon some shit happen, fuck that. Nah, man, these people have seen me be a leader, been under pressure, and I'm the same damn person under pressure.

Speaker 2:

Ain't bursting these pipes they can't burst real nigga pipes. Gotta keep on coming with it, man.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you already know keep on coming you already know, and that's how I look at man, you don't. You don't know how special this show is right now, though I haven't recorded my show man in About five or six months.

Speaker 2:

Well, it's a pleasure to be on here, man man. I'm gonna go live.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, you bringing me back with a bang, my motherfucking cousin. Look, goddamn it. Talented, handsome, great ass person, you know. Thank you, man, and I appreciate your honesty and Just being real, just being a real.

Speaker 2:

I can't be nobody else. I can't be nobody man. It's really really came up. Huh, I said I really can't be nobody else, it's disturbing when people try to do that I'm like.

Speaker 1:

You can't be yourself.

Speaker 2:

Like that's that's saying, people also have these ideas of you that they have made up in their mind, right? Whole different thing, man, you know. You know, I just funny, man, oh yeah people are very funny.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, you know like from look all this in my face, for example, people in the army right, or people in general. They probably he didn't lost his fucking mind, bro. I was in the army for 16 years. I couldn't do anything I wanted to do. I couldn't make no modifications to myself, my appearance. So what you think I'm gonna do, what you think I'm gonna do when I finally can, I'm gonna do what the hell I want to do.

Speaker 1:

But, yeah, he got tattooed. Yep, all this shit means something. I don't just put no weird shit on me, and I mean you do what you want to do, oh yeah and if I did, it's my life. I.

Speaker 2:

Mean you do what you want to do it, so you free to do whatever you want to do.

Speaker 3:

Yeah you know, they.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if they do this to you, but they have this. Like you said, they view you a certain way and they're like Well, why?

Speaker 3:

are you doing?

Speaker 1:

that. Well, why are you asking me that question while I'm doing what I'm doing? What if we just started asking each other, hey, and it's not enough, it's not a, it's not in the manner of curiosity, it's more like you know, just people just try to be nosy and overimpose. You know what I'm saying?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I Mean, uh, you know, I Don't know, man, I got that. Man, people have certain things that go on and within their own head. Man, I try to steer away from that.

Speaker 3:

Right.

Speaker 2:

Or let people decide, man, you know, let people make up their own shit, man. Oh yeah, the important thing, you do you for your, your sanity, your own peace, your own peace. So, regardless of whatever, whatever, whatever. That's why I never care about what anyone thinks, because what they gonna pay my bills?

Speaker 3:

they're not they show what I mean, like shut up if you're not paying nothing over here you don't get a vote on the dog.

Speaker 2:

Oh, it's not even important, so but don't vote. Yeah, I Don't even. I don't need to hear like Anything I don't need to like, and that's my major thing right there. Like don't tell me nothing, cuz I don't want to hear you imply Anything either. I don't want to feel like you know, saying you, trying to even like, take away my peace, like seriously to me, because you don't even have to, you don't even have to come version me, cuz it's not necessary for you to even say something. That's how I feel we there.

Speaker 2:

That's why, you know, I Keep things to a minimum with a lot of people.

Speaker 1:

That's good, because they, they always want to know Our onion. You know, be like Well, why you do that, bro? I ain't even trying to go all explain to myself why I am the way I am like.

Speaker 2:

Me. You live in life. That's your life, you got to live it. That's what people need to understand. There's no, and then didn't think that is like there's certain kind of criteria, base, third way and chiefs of us, yeah, in that, indefinitely, in a way, to To follow the, the way that the Lord wants you to, to Understand how, especially how, the commandments operate. But Life ain't always up to what everybody has their idea of with life.

Speaker 2:

Right so that's what it is, man. They're like their idea of these rights and these wrongs. You know this. You know that's when it comes down to people having these differences of opinions.

Speaker 3:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:

And that's why everybody opinion is not warranted.

Speaker 3:

Right into the day.

Speaker 2:

I don't need. I don't need anyone's opinion or anything. I don't need anything from anybody outside force.

Speaker 1:

That it's not I'm sure, I'm sure you know how to ask if you need somebody's opinion, right?

Speaker 2:

Hey, you know.

Speaker 1:

And I I'm putting up. Well, I've put up boundaries in that same area. You know I love my family. They're all great. But even with them, if I feel someone is Getting ready to say something that I don't need to hear or care to hear, hey, I'm gonna politely ask them keep that to yourself.

Speaker 1:

You have to understand Like everybody got to be okay with Reacting how they react. You know like I. I know myself. I trust myself more than any goddamn body. You don't have to deal with your little people on the side as you don't, you don't have to deal with yourself.

Speaker 2:

You gotta pull yourself in the mirror. So the gods of the fact that's you, you know you don't have to figure it out, even through whatever you gotta go to, so you can go to it. Even if you go to the therapist's council and blah, blah, blah, you still gotta figure it out. You got look in your cell in the mirror and figure it out. That's real.

Speaker 1:

Looking at the man in the mirror hey, I'll be looking. Hey, you like Malcolm, what we gonna do today? Hey, and I saw it. Listen.

Speaker 2:

I ain't gonna lie like I talked to myself in the mirror literally. So that's just how I don't. You know, like you need that, you need that a pet. Put that pep in there. That's all you like. You feel it.

Speaker 1:

I'm okay with people thinking I'm like Go right ahead. Yeah, man, exactly, they're smart, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2:

That's what I'm saying, man. Like what is it? Matter and don't use that crazy. I think I'm crazy. That's a nice thing.

Speaker 1:

Oh, thank you, it's great, it's okay.

Speaker 3:

I don't give two shins.

Speaker 2:

Hey, just let it bounce off your shoulder and keep it on. Can't do anything for you and your life. So We've been doing some.

Speaker 1:

I'm sharpening iron here cuz, but I'm a Swiss subjects on you real quick and I'm gonna ask you like, what does it? Cuz? I imagine you're about consistency and things like that. So what does? A typical Daily life For you, a typical healthy day of yours what does that look like? Good day for me.

Speaker 2:

That's off with. I'm getting these calculations from my business partner. I can go and death about what I got. I can go and get my money back. Yeah, I can go and death about what I got going on, but I do own several bit on several vending machines on a vending machine coming.

Speaker 1:

That's awesome, I heard that's really good freakin hustle. I never tried it though.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I do other on other other businesses as well, but that's right now. That's, that's the most lucrative. I mean, that's that's pretty much how my typical day starts. So I get up, I gotta figure out what's with the inventory looking like for each machine. And that's ran between two other people. We have a three-way business partnership.

Speaker 1:

That's big stuff cuz.

Speaker 2:

But I take care of my child a lot. You know that's a lot, you know as well. Have a day trader that trade stocks for me. We perfect brain. That's my mother. But you know I made some different moves some prior years that put me in a decent position to have a little bit of capital to play around with and. I had a few business ventures. That was ups and downs, but you know I'm still trying to pursue. Right now, man, I'm really trying to get a food truck man like that's really my fucking.

Speaker 3:

That's what I want to do too because I love cooking too, yeah man.

Speaker 2:

You know I love cooking too, man, but I can see I've been in that industry for an extended period of time. I can see how operations work, but I know what people don't like. Man flavor wise. I just know what people don't like.

Speaker 3:

So yes, sir, so what?

Speaker 2:

you know you don't use homestyle food like our, like our traditional food yeah, yeah, yeah, I definitely was gonna get there, but right now because I already have a concept for that like that's what I want, really want to start with, but right now I just want to focus on something like smaller. I don't have to. I'll expand once, you know. You know like running the specialist and things of that nature, but right now I just want to do wings and fries with just real good way, yeah, something real good to get you like a venture capital, and then let me just expand from there to get the understanding of. You know I'm saying the process and I'm running your food. You know I'm saying so. You don't want to get too expansive before you know what you're doing. Food cost you gotta think about food cost.

Speaker 2:

Product cost you know I'm saying you gotta think about like certain things, because these things fluctuate that's why I want to keep it in one like zone and keep it like at a minimum. So don't get out of hand, because I don't want things to get out of hand because you don't want to, you don't want to, and overhead, you know. I mean like I want to keep things at a certain overhead and. I'm not overspending, you know. I got you, I got so man, that's what I'm really trying to get get to the point of right now.

Speaker 1:

So that's a lot of evolution right there. You a whole entrepreneur, artist, businessman that's a lot of titles, cuz how do you keep up with all of that?

Speaker 2:

I just try to keep up, man. I just keep the best way of my life across. We can, the best way we can. Man, I'm still involved with crypto, so I'm just trying to keep it, keep it, keep it rolling man and and still trying to be as knowledgeable as I can on the the ventures that I go into so and like take care of my child man, that's priority number one they navigating through everything and taking care of the, the major, so major understand.

Speaker 1:

I got pretty bills, oh yeah they're gonna be looking in your face yeah, man cuz it's been my pleasure to have you, and you know, talk to you and experience your energy again. Oh yeah, how can the people get in contact with you via social media, find your music, all that good stuff?

Speaker 2:

you can find me. Andre had everything. Man, it's a and D R, a, e, h, a, t T E R so you can just find that on everything. You can put that in everything. Yes, pretty much, you're gonna find me on everything. I mean all the social media. I think I'm on tiktok to check, not really.

Speaker 2:

I am or not, I'm damn sure I see man oh yeah man, you too bro yeah so send me, send me over, bro, you know because and then I probably seen some too man cuz like I'm really trying to start back working in you know, I get back into the mix. Yeah, yeah, bro, so they. So we got to get this together, man, really push forward, man, and try to get the best out of this that we can get out of it, especially at our age, I think our market is high, I think our market is yes, it's getting there.

Speaker 2:

You know, that's what you know. I feel like I gotta give a, I gotta give a little bit more. I feel like I gotta give you too. That's it count, that's accountability yeah, you know, I feel like I give you know, but you know, it is one of the things, man, you know, gotta like everything else, you got to continue evolving this music shit too.

Speaker 2:

So like as it, but with your own spin. Always stay unique into yourself and that's the major tradition like. So, even when you start fucking around with, like you know, different styles and different kind of cadences, you know you want to stay to yourself they do to yourself. That's the major to me, I'm always say cuz my shit always gonna be like a you know, always here my layers my legs me singing in the background. Should I sing in the background a rabbit on the radio like this?

Speaker 2:

music right after this time yeah, that's how I'm about to. I got a few songs that I got a right, so I got some features I gotta do. I got a bunch of shit I might, I might be working on that. So it's just like really getting into in the swing of things and I'm really trying to be fully into the years out. I'm going to go get piano lessons. So that's like really going get back into piano lessons. Then I'm moving back to my trumpet, so I would say but I'm getting back to this because I want to.

Speaker 2:

I want to jazz before all this shit is over. I got a big boy. I want to do in a jazz I want to do yeah, after all, it's like I don't. You know I ain't gonna be rapping in and doing that. You know I'm gonna be doing jazz, yeah, but I did. I'll be able to make my own tracks with my trumpet and the piano and just do my own shit. You know I'm saying like I nasty and that's how I see it.

Speaker 2:

I'm putting it together like that. You know, I'm saying after my voice conditions to the point where I'm where it's gonna be, because I'm not gonna see the direction where it's going. I can, I can see me doing jazz music. That's gonna be a jazz musician.

Speaker 1:

I see it for you as well.

Speaker 2:

I want to go. That's why I want to go home. That's why I want to go.

Speaker 1:
