The Women's World Cup highlighted much more than great soccer.  The victorious Spain team had significant issues off the field, and other nations like Nigeria and Jamaica raised issues about the level of support and pay from their respective national organizations.  Sadly, Jenni Hermoso was cast into the spotlight after the final because of the behavior of her nation's football president.

These problems highlight the ongoing issue of gender equity.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Why the president of the Spanish FA has been inappropriate and unprofessional
  • Why women shouldn't have to share the spotlight
  • Who should be paid the most, and why
  • What our response should be when minority groups say something isn't right
  • Statistics about pay, and why disparate pay still exists
