Dr Sarah Perkins-Kirkpatrick talks with Climate Conversations about heat-waves
October 22, 2018 Robert McLean/Dr Sarah Perkins-Kirkpatrick

Heat-waves are now a better and more understood dynamic thanks to the work of Dr Sarah Perkins-Kirkpatrick from the Climate Change Research Centre at the University of New South Wales. Sarah discusses not only climate change and heat-waves, but the personal challenges of having children (she already has one daughter and another is one the way) when she knows her children will be living in circumstances quite unlike those we enjoy today - when her eldest daughter is Sarah's age (she's in her early 30s) , she knows the global temperatures will be at least one or two degrees above what they are now.
Sarah loves her work and her honesty and candidness is refreshing.
