Dr. Weche is Founder & CEO of Akad Education Group – Africa, a capacity building, Social Enterprise organisation providing mentorship and value-based leadership training to youth for academic & career success – his core passion, calling and work.
His youth mentorship results are seen in AKAD youth leaders regularly featured in Kenyan and international national media; press, radio and TV as seen by clicking here. His exemplary Christian community service was recognised by the Anglican Church of Kenya and ordained him for Education Ministry in year 2014.
His educational solutions have been recognised when twice invited as a speaker-panelist at Harvard Business School (HBS), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, USA and as Africa’s representative to HEC MBA Paris, France. Solution programs include “Mentoring Future Engineers” with Kenya Power and KENGEN, “Mentoring Future Leaders” with Dr. Vimal Shah & BIDCO; “Media Mentorship” with Standard Media Group, School Motivational Talks with Admissions & Scholarships to top world class universities as well as being judge in competitions such as the US$ 1 Million Hult Prize (Kenya), Zuri Awards and YouWin Awards.
Dr. Weche is Director at Core Technologies in Gaborone, Botswana and Business Development Consultant, trainer and MBA lecturer in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at universities and foundations. He was Managing Director of Leruo Services (Pty) Ltd (Botswana, 1993 – 2005) - the largest supplier of veterinary products to Government of Botswana for 15 years. He has been Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Manager, Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and Assistant Complex Manager, Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC) in Galana, Kenya. He enjoys networks in 10 African countries, Europe, USA, Middle & Far East (China & Japan) currently through successfully mentored youth.
Academically, Dr. Weche is a PhD candidate in Leadership & Management and holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree from DeMontfort University (UK); Veterinary Medicine degree, University of Nairobi (UoN). He has undertaken graduate studies in Dispute Resolution (UMass, Boston), Negotiation (PON - Harvard Law School), Governance (NIST), Financial Management (Strayer University, USA) Mediation certificate (MMS, Boston). He is has been a Sensei and Discipler for over 30 years, and published author of “Conflict and Deception in Relationships and Marriage” on Amazon.com
Dr Weche’s future aspirations are to develop thousands of value based leaders across Africa, to include 100 Billionaires - home-grown in African countries – like AKAD Mentor, Dr. Vimal Shah of Bidco Africa in Kenya. He commissioned and built an online mentorship portal to maintain and grow mentorship relationships with youth worldwide, strategically giving back to those behind them. He hopes to establish Youth Leadership Centers for strategic mentorship trainings in African & Middle East - financed through resources raised by successful business.
