4. Applications
- John’s deepest desire…God’s deepest desire…is that you have no alternative but to conclude that Jesus is who He claimed to be, that He is the I AM, the Lamb of God, the Son of Man, the Messiah, and that you would, like Thomas, fall on your knees and declare Him as your Lord and your God. If you have never done that before, let today be the day that changes your life forever! Of all the applications, that you may believe is the most important.
- Are you weighed down by your current circumstances? Does the state of the world today worry you or make you batty? REFOCUS on HIM! Where the world distracts and dismays, Jesus satisfies! And remember, this world is NOT our home, and we have a future of “zoe”-bliss and glory -awaiting us.
- Have you experienced the same life changing love John shared about with his dying breaths? Love is the first in the list of the fruit of the Spirit. It’s God’s gift to ALL believers. Is your life as a Christ follower a changed life? Are you known for your love of the brethren? If not, know with all certainty that that is something God wants for you, and pray for Him to help you grow in love.
- Do what John did, and share the Good News with others!
