WOW: Women of Wisdom

W.O.W. (Women of Wisdom) is a Bible study for women, sponsored by The Shepherd's Church in Cary, NC. This Bible study, taught by women of The Shepherd's Church & guest speakers from The Shepherd's Seminary, aims to lead women to Biblical Truths to grow in their relationship with God through His Word. Each week has daily lessons for personal study, followed by "iron sharpening iron" in small group discussions and finishes with a lecture that seeks to apply Biblical truths to our daily lives.

Applications:

What stone is lying ahead of you right now? What impossible, immovable thing do you need to release your grip on and surrender to the Lord because His plan is better than yours anyway?
Who are you, (or your spouse, or your kids, or your neighbor, or your cantankerous boss) in this story?
Do you identify with Mary Magdalene as an outlier? Are you defining yourself by your circumstances or by who you are in Christ?
Only God forgives sin BUT we CAN proclaim sins forgiven by sharing the gospel…when was the last time you did that with someone?
Only God forgives sin, BUT how recent is your own confession before the Lord?
Only God forgives sin, BUT whose sins against you are you “retaining” that you should just let go of and forgive?
If you are a believer and you have ever struggled with doubt, it’s okay. Just don’t stay in that doubt. Stay in His word.
If you are an unbeliever, I can’t show you the physical resurrected Jesus, but what I can give you is the undisputed historical fact of the empty tomb.

He was born of a virgin one holy night in the little town of Bethlehem.

Angels gathered 'round Him underneath the star

singing praises to the great I AM.

He walked on the water,

Healed the lame,

The angry crowd chose Him.
