WOW: Women of Wisdom
W.O.W. (Women of Wisdom) is a Bible study for women, sponsored by The Shepherd's Church in Cary, NC. This Bible study, taught by women of The Shepherd's Church & guest speakers from The Shepherd's Seminary, aims to lead women to Biblical Truths to grow in their relationship with God through His Word. Each week has daily lessons for personal study, followed by "iron sharpening iron" in small group discussions and finishes with a lecture that seeks to apply Biblical truths to our daily lives.

Am I praising the Lord? February 4th, 2026
- Jesus loves the little children of the world, Jew & Gentile. (13:1-5) (Galatians 1:15; Romans 1:1; Colossians 4:10)
- Heaven will be more diverse than we can anticipate.
- Christians must defend the Gospel! (13:6-12) (Matthew 3:7-10)
- Don’t let others make crooked what God has made straight.
- Is there an area of your faith that needs extra support on the front lines? How can you help?
- The Gospel message doesn’t change for Jews or Gentiles (13:13-31; 40-52) (Acts 15:37-38; Genesis 37-47; Exodus 4-14; Exodus 16; Isaiah 11:1-16; John1; Habakuk 1:5; Romans 1:16)
- Are you listening to God’s message, really listening for your benefit?
- Do I speak out boldly for the Lord?
- You can truly be set free with justification through Jesus (13:32-39) (Psalm 2:7; Isaiah 55:3; Psalm 16:10; Romans 3:19-24)
- Christ’s righteousness is the ONLY thing that moves the scale.
- Justified = just as if I had never sinned
- Is your scale in perfect balance? Have you accepted Christ and been justified?
- We seek Christ and find Him when we seek Him with all of our heart. (Psalm 51:10-13; Jeremiah 29:13)
- Are you bored with Jesus? Then that’s not the real Jesus!
- Christ is ALWAYS there. We need only seek Him!
“Look for a thing where you dropped it, it is there. Tell me where you lost the company of Christ, and I will tell you the most likely place to find him. Have you lost Christ in the closet by restraining prayer? Then it is there you must seek and find him. Did you lose Christ by sin? You will find Christ in no other way but by the giving up of the sin, and seeking by the Holy Spirit to mortify (meaning to put an end to) the member in which the lust does dwell. Did you lose Christ by neglecting the Scriptures? You must find Christ in the Scriptures.” ~ Charles Spurgeon parentheses are my words
*How will you look for God today so that you can share Him more boldly and praise the Lord?*
