Secret gardens behind walls, hidden attic treasures, remote mountain cabins, locked diaries, private islands, underground bunkers, secluded monasteries, classified government files, exclusive VIP lounges, forgotten library archives.

Hermits count too—they choose to live alone, away from crowds, in cabins or caves, totally isolated. Some artists or writers hole up like that, avoiding distractions. Even people in witness protection might be sequestered, hiding out under new identities.
