Midtown Church
Midtown Covenant Church is a multiethnic, multiplying, reconciling, and disciple-making church. We are a church for the unchurched, those who have been burned by the church in the past, and those wondering if they are passionately welcomed back into the church after being gone for whatever reason. We care deeply about our city, the nation, and the world. We believe that Christ changes everything and provides us with the power and authority to make a transformative difference in the world. We share Christ’s heart for the vulnerable, marginalized, lost, and broken. We are committed to being a bridge of empowerment, unity, and love in a divided world.

More about this Rev. Rici Skei:
Rici Skei and her husband Phil Skei are both natives of Fresno, CA. They serve as Co-Pastors of On Ramps Covenant Church in their downtown Fresno neighborhood, a multi-ethnic, multi-class, multi-cultural, parish-model congregation which meets in The Impact Center. The Impact Center is the home for several local businesses, a martial arts group, a dance school, and Impact Athletics – a social enterprise of On Ramps, in partnership with a former professional basketball player and coach. For the past 15 years, Phil and Rici have been engaged in community revitalization work, beginning substantively in the Lowell neighborhood (formerly “The Devil’s Triangle”) where they have lived since 2006. In addition to pastoring alongside Rici, Phil works as the Assistant Director of Planning & Development for the City of Fresno where he oversees the development of affordable housing and homeless response. Over the years, Rici has recorded worship albums and has embodied this call to “love her neighbors” by dedicating their home to tutoring elementary school kids and directing B.L.I.S.S. (Beautiful Ladies Improving Self-Standards) for elementary and junior high aged girls.
Rici holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Education – both from Fresno Pacific University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Christian Formation from North Park Theological Seminary. Both Rici and her husband Phil are ordained ministers with the Evangelical Covenant Church and are contributing authors to Out of Nazareth: Christ-Centered Civic Transformation in Unlikely Places. Additionally, Rici published, “Let the People Worship”, a 40-Day Devotional which is being used throughout the Country as a way to develop and invest in both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking Worship Leaders and Praise Teams. Phil and Rici have been married since 2001 and are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Kadence and Kaylin.
