29. Take the Leap and Transform Your Life

Justin Arrington

What's the biggest leap you've ever hesitated to take? Today on the Freedom First Podcast, I share my own fears and excuses that once held me back, and how I finally conquered them to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams. This episode is all about getting off the sidelines and stepping into action to build the life you desire. From asking for that raise, shedding debt, hitting the gym, to mending broken relationships—it's all about taking that first, often daunting, step.

We revisit the four essential pillars of life—Faith, Family, Fitness, and Finance—and explore why they are critical to achieving balance and fulfillment. Through personal anecdotes and practical advice, I aim to inspire and motivate you to stop procrastinating and start making meaningful changes. Listen to learn how to navigate your fears, ditch the excuses, and take actionable steps towards living life on your own terms.

Welcome to the Freedom First Podcast, episode number 29. Thank you all for tuning in once again today. I appreciate you guys and I appreciate all the love and response that I have been getting from this show. We're almost a month in and it's been super fun to be with you guys every single day. And, guys, if you get any value from this show whatsoever, all I ask is that you share it. Share it with one person, that's it. It'll take you two seconds. Share it on your Instagram, share it on your social media, text it to a family friend, whoever, whoever you need to to to get the word out there. Um, but, guys, I am grateful for you. I am, at least I hope that I am giving you at least some gold nuggets that you can start applying into your lives every single day so that you can ultimately live a free life and start living life on your own terms. That is my whole purpose. That is my only goal of this entire show is to help as many of you guys as I can. Even if it's just one person, it was worth it to me. I hope that you guys start living your dream life. I hope that you can start living it on your own terms.

Speaker 1:

With that said, today's topic is getting in the game. What does that mean? Get in the game, stop sitting on the sidelines. You need to be willing to put yourself into the game. Start taking action. Build whatever it is that you want. You have to go for it. You have to take that jump, and it's going to be the hardest jump, the biggest leap that you've ever taken in your life.

Speaker 1:

What's the one thing that you want to do right now? What was the first thing that popped into your brain as soon as I said take the jump? What was it? I know there was something. Remember what we talked about the other day I think it was two days ago that your worst case scenario wasn't that bad. What's the one thing that immediately pops into your brain when I ask you what do you want to do? What do you need to do? I know something clicked I need to ask for a raise. I need to get out of debt. I need to go for a raise. I need to get out of debt. I need to go to the gym. I need to get closer with my family. I need to rebuild my relationship with God.

Speaker 1:

But guess what? A relationship cannot be built until action is taken. You can't build muscle until action is taken. You can't build a business until action is taken. You can't better your relationship with your spouse or your kids until you take action. So stop sitting on the sidelines, stop procrastinating and telling yourself I'll do it next week. I'll wait until December 31st. Write down a couple of New Year's resolutions, I'll make it happen. Next year I'll get until December 31st. Write down a couple of New Year's resolutions, I'll make it happen. Next year I'll get in shape. Then. How much longer are you going to wait, you guys? There was a couple of years, like right.

Speaker 1:

When I first got married, I knew that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur back in high school. But guess what? I went out, I got a job, I got comfortable and it took me a few years to get out of that funk. I knew what I wanted deep down, but I was afraid to make the jump and when I did, I had every excuse in the book. I didn't have money, I had a brand new baby. Like guys, I had responsibilities. But I took the leap anyway and it paid off. I would do it again. As hard as it was, I would do it again, because that's when I started to lead myself down this path that I'm on right now.

Speaker 1:

So how much longer are you going to wait?

Speaker 1:

What's the one thing that you ultimately want to do? Are you ready to lose the weight? Are you ready to get close to God? Are you ready to start working on the four pillars that I've been teaching you guys about for the last month Faith, family, fitness, finance. Those are the four pillars of life that you need to get in order.

Speaker 1:

You have to be all in on the game, like it is the championship game of the last game that you'll ever play in your life, because you may not have tomorrow. Be all in with your family, be all in with your family, be all in with your business, all in with God, everything. I cannot pound that into your brain enough. Get in the game, stop waiting, because tomorrow may not come, it may not. This might. Today might be it for you. I don't wish it upon anybody. You may be on your way home car accident, you're dead. I don't wish that upon anybody, but at that point you die with regrets.

Speaker 1:

I don't want to live a regretful life and I bet, if I asked you that if we were face-to-face right now, you would probably say I don't want to live life with regrets either. So what do you ultimately want? Are you willing to put it all on the line? I promise you, if you do it, there's going to be hard times, but remember your worst case scenario is not that bad. So be all in, get in the game, get off the sidelines and start playing. Start playing today, guys. That's all I have for you. I appreciate you guys. I love you guys. Thank you for tuning in once again. We will be back with you tomorrow with another episode. We'll see you guys later. The Freedom First podcast. So just come and learn how to build a free life living on your own terms.
