Welcome to the Freedom First podcast, everyone. This is episode number 32. I'm your host, justin Arrington. Thank you all for tuning in once again today and I'm not going to bore you guys with a long intro. But I just want to say thank you for listening to the podcast and, if you guys would not mind, if you guys get any value from this show, please share it on your socials. Tag me and let's grow this show.
Speaker 1:That's my whole purpose. My whole intent is just to get this word out to as many people as I possibly can. So, guys, if you listened to yesterday's episode, we uh, we talked about the past and why it's important to forget the past, and I kind of dropped a little nugget on what we would be talking about today, and that is asking questions and, um, you know that that may sound like a boring topic, but not just asking questions, but questioning things in your life. I, uh, I personally believe that it is important to question everything in life and I know that that's a lot, um, but I, I'm sure, when, when I bring up the topic of questions, um, questions, you know you guys may be thinking about, you know, active learning or you know, asking questions in school. That was one thing that I absolutely hated to do. I you know. Back, I think this honestly started like in kindergarten. I don't think I really asked questions um, like from kindergarten all the way until I graduated high school. And you know, you guys know I didn't go to college. So, um, asking questions, like I just grew up feeling like I was the stupid, stupid kid in class, like no one wants to be made fun of for asking a dumb question. But it took me, gosh, probably 24, 25 years until I really, really understood, like there are no stupid questions.
Speaker 1:If I don't have the answer to something I need to ask. If I, if I never ask, I'm never going to get get ahead, I'm never going to learn, whatever it is that I'm trying to learn. You know, as the great scripture says, like asking you shall receive. You know, like you ask and you shall receive. You know, like, if you want the knowledge, you got to get it somewhere, and if you want to get it, there's going to be questions that have to be asked. So, like, what are questions you can ask? Like I know I mentioned active learning there's questions, you know, that'll help you become a better communicator or you get more clarity or have a better understanding or be able to problem solve better. You know, maybe you just want to learn more about other people. Like you, have to ask people questions in order to get to know them.
Speaker 1:My main purpose in talking about all these questions is in order to gain insight on, and gain the knowledge on, anything. You have to ask questions and make sure that you're asking the right questions. Don't be afraid to ask them. You know, I think one of the most important questions that a lot of us are asking is what am I supposed to do with my life? What is it? Sorry, I had a little alarm go off on my phone. What questions do you need to ask yourself?
Speaker 1:And when I was prepping for this show, you guys know we have the four pillars faith, family, fitness and finance. And the pillar that I can relate asking questions to the most is faith. You have to have faith in order to ask questions. I'm a fairly spiritual person. Am I the most spiritual person? Probably not. Do I have a solid relationship with God? You bet I do, and it took me a long, long, long time to actually understand the scripture. Ask and ye shall receive. It was by asking the questions of? Should I start a business? Should I start a family? Should I get my body in shape? Should I blah, blah, like, whatever it is? Those are conversations that I've had with God and those are questions that I have asked him countless times. And guess what? I receive answers. That's where I start. All my questions run through him first, and after I do that, I put my faith in him that he will guide me to get that answer. Whether it's through, you know, the internet, maybe it's through a new connection that I make or an existing contact that I already have, he'll show me those insights. So, guys, you need to question everything and you can break that down into the four filler gosh. Four fillers. Again four pillars faith, family, fitness and finance. Question your finances Are you financially stable? Are you financially free? Ask yourself that question. With your faith, do you have a good relationship with God? Do you feel like you know you're spiritually fit? Fitness Do you need to question your physicality?
Speaker 1:Faith, family, family I couldn't remember which ones. I talked about. Family I couldn't. I couldn't remember which ones. I talked about. Family Do you have questions about your family? Are you spending enough time with your kids? Are you spending enough time with your spouse? Are you spending enough time with your parents? You know, like, where I'm at right now. Like I, I've spent more time with my parents in the last couple of weeks than I, than I have in a long time, and I I've been able to value that time that I've been able to spend with them more than ever. Um, and I'll I'll probably dive into that more um down the road a little bit, but uh, for now, like I, I've been able to to grow my relationships with my parents more in the last couple of weeks than I ever have.
Speaker 1:And all of that began with with asking questions what do I need to do to be a better, a better son? What do I need to do to be a better, a better father? Like that, that's one that I've been asking myself a bunch right right now, Like we're me and my wife, like she, she's about to have by the time this episode release, releases, I could have another, another, another kid here. So, um, depending on when he comes, like I've been asking myself how can, how can I become a better father? Like I'm going to be a father to three boys now and, in today's day and age, like how am I supposed to, to manage them and teach them and show them you know what's right and what's wrong. Those are questions that I've asked.
Speaker 1:So what are some questions that you need to start asking yourself? Start with the four pillars, go through them. Are you spiritually fit? Are you financially fit? Are you physically fit? Are you family fit? Are you family fit? Start there, like. Those are four questions that you can ask yourself, four pillars that you can build an incredible life on.
Speaker 1:If you are willing to ask those questions and if you are willing to to, you know, be open to receiving answers and not be afraid to ask and and just and really start building a life that you can live on your own terms, that you can be 100% happy with. That's why it's so important to question everything in life, everything. Why are trees green, I don't know? Pray about it and ask I don't know, why is the sky blue? Why do we like? There's so many questions you can ask and if you're open, and if you have faith and you're open to receiving, receiving answers, it'll be. It'll be a pretty cool experience for you Like to to really understand the importance of asking questions in life like that. That's how we build our like. We build our life upon questions. We build our lives upon faith, hoping that we're doing the right things day in and day out.
Speaker 1:So ask questions. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't be afraid and think that people are going to think you're stupid, because if they think you're stupid for asking the questions, chances are they're the stupid ones because they're not willing to put in the work. But if you guys are which, if you're listening to this show, chances are you're wanting to better yourself. So get after it, start asking those questions and start listening. Ask and you shall receive. Guys, ask and you shall receive. I promise, if you are living life the way you are supposed to be receiving answers will be easier than you could ever imagine are supposed to be receiving answers will be easier than you could ever imagine.
