Speaker 1:

I drop a new episode every single day with little tips and tricks that I have implemented into my life, and I hope that you guys can take nuggets of your own, start applying them and eventually start living life on your own terms and building that free lifestyle that everybody is dreaming of. And I know you guys can do it if you really pay attention and start implementing the things that I talk about. They're little tips and tricks that you can honestly start to apply today. These are things that I hope you guys take seriously, and today's topic is actually one that I am a daily practitioner of and it's something that I desperately need to improve at and, honestly, this could probably be the fifth pillar if we had one. If you guys aren't familiar with the four pillars, it's faith, family, fitness and finance. Those are four topics that I frequently talk about on this show, because those are the four pillars of my life. That's what I built my life on. It's what I believe and I just hope to share as many things that I can with you guys on that. But if there were a fifth pillar, this would be it, and that fifth pillar would be patience.

Speaker 1:

Patience is not talked about at all in today's society. Everybody wants immediate gratification yesterday. No one wants to put in the work, no one wants to put in the time and no one wants to wait. But guess what? Good things come to those who wait. Good things come to those who wait. And as long as you're taking daily action, as long as you're, you know putting the work in and you know putting one foot in front of the other, things will work out for you. You know, even though it took Joe Schmo down the road, you know a year to become a millionaire, you're not on his path. It may take you 7, 8, 10, 15, 20 years. You're on different paths. God has a different path for each and every one of us. So even though success looks better over here on the other side of the hill or your neighbor over here has everything that you want and you just feel like you're stuck, be patient, It'll come. Don't give up. Like it will come.

Speaker 1:

There's a quote by Gandhi that I really, that I really really love, and it's to lose patience is to lose the battle. What's the battle? What battle are you, are we in right now? You know. Maybe you're in the battle of growing a business. Maybe you're in the battle of, you know, making your body better. Maybe you're in the battle fighting for a relationship that might be falling apart. Maybe you're battling God. Maybe you're trying to figure out if he really exists, maybe I don't know. But the second that you lose patience, you lose the battle, you know.

Speaker 1:

So if your marriage sucks right now, it's going to take time to build that back up. It's not going to happen overnight. If you and your spouse have fought for years and years and have been on the brink of divorce but it just hasn't happened yet, but you're finally trying to better it and maybe stay together, just know it's going to take patience. If you're super overweight and you're just barely getting into the gym. If you're super overweight and you're just barely getting into the gym, just know it's going to take patience to get your body where you want it to be, to lose that 10, 20, 50 pounds. You got to be patient. If you're in the process of starting a business. It will come with patience.

Speaker 1:

Guys, when I went off on my own and started my own business, like I went almost five months without making any money, it would have been way easier for me to just throw in the towel after a couple of weeks and be like you know what? I'm not making money, it's not worth it, I'm going to go get another job, calling it quits. It would have been so much easier and so much less stressful to just do that, but I stuck with it. I grew to understand that I needed to be patient and to this day, like, there's still things like I wish I could have instant gratification. I wish that I could have it now. Like I remember when, uh, you know, a couple of years ago, I remember my wife wanted this car and I remember sticking it on my vision board and I was like, oh man, I want that car right now. I want it right now. What do I need to do? And guess what? That car sat on that vision board for over a year and the day that I pulled it into our driveway it was 100% worth the wait to see the look on my wife's face when it was delivered.

Speaker 1:

But that required patience. You know, building a business to doing multiple six figures every single year that took a lot of patience. I wanted it right now. Every single year. That took a lot of patience. I wanted it right now.

Speaker 1:

There's still people that I look at that, you know, have these multimillion dollar organizations that you know are absolutely crushing it. And even though I admire those people and I aspire to be like them one day, I know that my time will come. I know that I'll get there. I have 100% confidence in myself that I will get there. I just know, you know, it may take me a little bit longer. I've always been. I've always been a little bit behind. I feel like I've been like that my entire life.

Speaker 1:

But guess what? Your opportunity will present itself. And the second that it does, you have to be ready to capitalize on it. But you got to be patient. God will reveal what your purpose is for you and your life when you are ready. All you have to do is be patient. But the second that you lose the patience, you lose the battle, you lose the opportunity of life and to live.

Speaker 1:

So be a little bit more patient today. Be patient with your kids, be patient with your spouse. If you guys are a daily listener to the show. Be patient with me. I know I'm not perfect. I'm probably putting a bunch of these episodes out that you know you're just like man. What is this guy even talking about? He doesn't make sense half the time. Be patient with me. Like, I know what I'm talking about, but you know I'm not super great with words and you know it just takes me a little bit longer to get it out.

Speaker 1:

So start practicing patience. Be patient with one thing today. You know, if you, if you're kind of irritated with your kids, think about it, oh, you know what, let me just be patient with them for like 30 more seconds and just see how it goes. See if you can see a difference in your life by being more patient. And just remember like good things come to those who wait. But don't wait too long. Don't procrastinate. Wait for the moment to present itself and capitalize and take action on it. Guys, that's all I have for you today. Thank you once again for tuning into the Freedom First podcast. I appreciate you guys and we'll go ahead and chat with you once again tomorrow. Ain't no need to search the freedom first podcast, so just come and learn how to build a free life, living on your own terms.
