Welcome back to the Freedom First Podcast. My name is Justin Arrington. Thank you all once again for tuning in to another episode of the show. Guys, if this is your first time tuning in, I appreciate you all for giving this show a chance. And on this show I talk about, you know, little tips and tricks that you can start to apply today that will eventually start leading you to live a life of freedom and leaving it on your own terms. All that I ask is that you guys share the show with someone who you feel like would benefit from it. That's it, I mean. There's no fee, anything like that. It's free, and I just really hope that I can provide you some sort of value today that you'll be able to carry on throughout the rest of your life, to make your life awesome and, honestly, just a fulfilled life. That's everyone's purpose, at least my belief is. You got to live a life of purpose, you got to be happy, you got to be doing things that you want to be doing, and I believe that that all starts with freedom. So, guys, with that said, let's dive into today's show.
Speaker 1:Today's show is going to be about why you started and why it's important to remember why you've started? Why have you gone on this personal development journey? Why did you start the business? Why did you start getting into fitness? Why did you start dating your spouse again? Why did you want to build a relationship with God? Why, what's the point? What was your purpose behind it? I want you to think about that for a second. Think of one thing in your life. For me, first one that comes to mind why business? Why did I start my own business? Why do I work for myself? You want to know why. Because I was sick and tired of living paycheck to paycheck. I was sick and tired of having to be places that I didn't want to be. I was sick and tired of when I could go home. I was sick and tired of when I could go home. I was sick and tired of when I could see my kids, my kid I only had one back then. That's why I started. That's why I've had to sacrifice more things in the last five years. Yes, it's hard, but it has been so worth it for me to start my own business. It's been so worth it. I have zero, zero regrets. So why did you start?
Speaker 1:Another example of mine was, like a few years ago, like I felt like I felt very disconnected from God. Another example of mine was, like a few years ago, like I felt like I felt very disconnected from God. You know, not saying that my faith was like dwindling away or I wasn't a believer anymore, but like I felt like I didn't know him. And you know why I felt that way. It's because I stopped putting in the effort to build that relationship. And ever since then, like I pray all the time, you know, I feel like I have a greater relationship with my Heavenly Father now than I ever have before. You know, me and Him are super close. I talk to Him about everything. I ask Him for more guidance than anybody else that I know. That's why I wanted to build a better relationship with him, because I knew that he could help me through hard times.
Speaker 1:Another example when me and my wife got married and had our first kid, like I started putting on the pounds man, it's easy to put on the pounds and had our first kid, like I started putting on the pounds man, it's easy to put on the pounds and they weren't good ones. So I started going to the gym. Why did I start going to the gym? Because I knew. I want to be here for my kids. I want to be healthy, I want to be strong. So that's why I started. Why do I date my wife? Why do I spend time with my kids? Because I want to build a relationship with them.
Speaker 1:So why did you get on this road of personal development? Why are you listening to this podcast? Why do you think that there's something better out there? Because there is. That's why. So, guys, when times get hard and you feel like you know that there's just no point in trying to do what I want to achieve anymore, like my goals are stupid, I just don't even think they're ever going to happen and I'm going to throw in the towel and just you know, go back to my old ways of living. That's what you're going to want to do. But then remember why you started. Remember why you spent, remember why you got up early to go to the gym. Remember why you stayed up late working. Remember why you wanted to be great.
Speaker 1:Don't ever, ever forget why you started. And if you guys are in the early stages right now, where you're still trying to figure that out, good, take notes about what you're going through, journal it down, share it with like-minded people. But don't ever, ever, fall away. Don't ever forget why you started working on yourself. Don't ever forget why you kept telling yourself I want a better life. You deserve it. You deserve it and you're putting in the work and even though you may see or maybe you're not seeing results right now, they will come. The results will come as long as you keep putting in the work, as long as you keep putting in the effort, as long as you keep staying late, as long as you keep working or waking up early. Remember your why. Why did you start? Everything has a purpose. I know there's a reason why, so remember that. Guys, that's all I have for you. I want you guys to take this episode to heart. Share it with someone who you feel like, maybe stuck or maybe just going through it. Maybe that'll help them out, but don't ever forget your why and why you started.
